- Revisiting Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition in 2023 after many years of this Minecraft version being forgotton. Xbox 360 and legacy console Edition no longer receive updates from Mojang as it has been replaced by Bedrock Edition which just isn't the same :( This version brings me strong feelings of nostalgia and many other people feel the same way with lots of memories playing online with friends on Xbox Live Gold. I would play Minecraft on Xbox 360 every day after I got home from school and it has brought me so many memories and this video was truly fun to make and relive the feelings. This version has a unique feel to it that makes the memories so cherished. For this video I deleted all of the updates to play on a really old version of the game with one of the first tutorial worlds which is exclusive to Xbox 360! 4J studios were the true ogs that introduced Minecraft to the masses, it was big on pc but it exploded once it was on consoles. Tutorial worlds are dearly missed :(

Gamma feature always gave the game a fuzzy good feeling..
yesss I always had it on maximum gamma back as a kid and the look it gives is so unique
I remember getting this when it came out and playing all summer with my cousins and watching tutorials to build houses and trying to summon herobrine. Good times

It would honestly be so awesome if you could use gamer score to buy games, even just indie games would be such a cool addition.
a cool idea would be a few small exclusive games on xbox arcade that you could buy with game points so you had to earn the games. microsoft could have always added in micro transactions to make money off of it for people who wanted to buy extra stuff
I mean you had Microsoft points to buy stuff in the early 360 days for like DLC or some games until they got rid of it..
It still shows up on some games to purchase dlc with points.
That was the idea that sold me on the 360 all those years ago but it was a misunderstanding apparently

Ngl, i would love if they added all the tutorial worlds in bedrock as an option for world creation. I love how in the old 360 you could get a description of every item, that was neat, like a small enciclopedia but for minecraft.
They also had those features in the ps version which i still play
The textures are what gets me 🤧 brings back memories of the good old days
I love the old textures so freaking much I sometimes use a texture pack on java edition that makes the game look like this
I love the first few titles updates before the adventure update because they gave me an appreciation and nostalgia for beta Minecraft that I otherwise wouldn’t have had. Even after all the years and updates I still prefer to play Minecraft like I’m playing beta 1.7.3 and that is part of the reason why it’s so fun to go back to the older versions
Tbh this was probably the best version for multiplayer, considering you can very easily have people join your worlds

this is so old but gold, i remember playing this same version back when i was about 6. i remember when i played the tutorial world and got stuck in a hole, i didnt even know how to get out of third person.

Playing java edition and man I remember buying this the day it came out like may 9th 2012? Just got a gaming pc last May and am working on a massive world on java edition . I spend like 7 hours a day on it it's addicting

this is why i wish i still had my childhood 360. i had the first title update on my xbox and i would give so much to be able to go back to it. i remember my friend showing me that there was a secret chest in the tutorial world full of diamond tools and armour and it was so cool to see bc there wasnt a creative mode back in those days

My very first time playing was when it first came out for Xbox 360 and playing it almost everyday with my friend or my brother, it is now 10 years later and I am adult that is struggling with finding a job and my purpose in life, I wish I could go back to those good old days and play Minecraft with my friend or brother again, the music makes me cry it’s so nostalgic.
i love this video i used to play 360 minecraft all the time that was the reason i got the xbox in the first place, i used to play with no internet connection so i remember when split screen didn't work XD but i didn't care trying to play minecraft on my pc JAVA and oh god it's actually so different its crazy, i might look into mod's to get that old school feel with the newer cave's etc a blend of both that would be amazing, could be a cool video idea you know? classic minecraft brought back to life
there are some good texture packs that make the game look like xbox 360 out there. I wonder if there are other mods to add to the feeling I will look into that
Just a couple days ago i found a world download for the first tutorial world i played, TU11, which is easily the most nostalgic for me.
It was an extra special experience because it was on my super good looking java modpack with shaders and everything, and it felt like i had come full circle. From playing the xbox 360 edition and just wanting to play the new updates on java, to having nice modded java, and only wanting to go back to simpler times.

i think i played Minecraft for the very fitet time on a pc. but it was a friends computer and they moved. but when i got my first xbox 360 when i was like 11 my mom bought Minecraft as a bday gifft and that was all i played. seeing this brings back so much nostalgia its crazy

I never played the console editions, but my nostalgia is the early builds from 2010, back when you could try it in-browser, I showed everyone in my HS computer lab, wonder if they think of me showing them when they see how massive it got? 🤔
i remember when they added trading to villagers to this version since this the only version of minecraft i had, i was so excited. Tho im sad it ended on the aquatic update and not village and pillage

I’m still rocking my New 2DS LL Creeper Edition with Minecraft built into it. Now if you want a Minecraft version that is nostalgic, that’s one that comes to my mind as the very final update for it added Woodland Mansions.

THE OLD TIMES BACK
I recently got a used 360 as a gift and one of the games on it that I've been playing is the arcade version of Minecraft, it doesn't seem to have ever been updated so I've been playing basically the oldest version I think exists on the platform. The 360 I have is the elite version, meaning it needs a wired connection or wireless adapter to connect online. I ordered a wireless adapter and after it gets here, I might have to preserve this old ass version of the game to play without the updates, haha.

This edition was my first time playing minecraft and I loved it more than all of the other editions. Shame it didn’t make it to the updates for the villages and the nether.

This version of Minecraft was the first ever version I’ve ever played and I remember playing the mini games with my cousin
This shit is so nostalgic, I still have my sons copy of the game. Well second copy, as he played the shit out of the first copy and the disc cracked over time. Interesting is the disc box says for the initial release “Minecraft Is A Property Of Notch Entertainment…”
And the second release box says “Minecraft is a Property of Mojang Studios AB”. That’s how nostalgic this game is, it was initially released when Notch still owned Minecraft and didn’t leave Mojang.
Me and my friends still play on the PS3 version of minecraft, we have gotten like 5-4 people in one server and it gets pretty chaotic haha.
Fun fact: I Do have a WII U and theres also a Very old minecraft on it still works

You should play the Wii U version. To my knowledge, it had a unique creative mode where you could make a super flat world of whatever you wanted. If you wanted a bedrock or lave only world for example, you can do it, but only in that version, to my knowledge.
The 360 edition had a similar feature if I recall. I may be wrong though.

When I first played the Xbox 360 version the hunger bar was gone, I was so confused when they added it because I didn’t have UA-cam to watch Minecraft videos at the time
i always kept my 360 and recently bought a disc for it. i found out that my xbox is stuck on the oldest minecraft disc version no matter which one i use

I used to have Minecraft on disc and it had a scratch ring right on the outer edge (caused by moving the Xbox while the disc was in), the game loaded fine most of the time but every now and again it sometimes glitched and loaded the TU1 version of the game, I don't know how that was possible on the disc version but it happened

Idk what kind of 360 model is yours, but I have the E Model (released along xbox one) Its really quiet always a bit warm but is normal. But when I put a disc in it does indeed sound like a airport and shakes my entire room. Lol
