  • I epoxied in a catch can to catch the water to keep it from dripping onto the headliner and let it evaporate away. I water tested for three hours after the repair no more leak under the headliner but the catch can did fill up and ran out through the drain tubes so it is working.

Thanks for your videos.I've got the same problem in my 2015. Did you end up making the 3D printed version for your friends truck? If so, would it be possible to obtain a copy of the file or buy one from you? Thanks, on advance, for responding to this comment.

No I couldn't find anybody to make them for me so I built his out of brass like I did mine.

Is that catch can made out of brass? Looks like you soldered it together. Thanks for the video

Yes I used brass so it would not rust and it was more proof of concept to make sure it would be a permanent fix. In the future on my friends truck we are going to make them on a 3D printer.

52drj thanks for the reply. Is it that depth to allow the spring to go inside when the sunroof is closed?

biggieb400 Yes, the spring and part of the arm swings
down inside of it when the wind deflector retracts.

I am currently experiencing the same issue on my 19 2500. Were you able to 3D print a pair and if so would you be able to make another or if you have the files to send that I could purchase from you?
