Great video. Thanks for not taking 15 minutes to tell me why you wanted to do this first.
Hahaha… you’re welcome!
😂
And introducing himself. And going off on tangents
This video is a lifesaver. I never buckle up before starting the vehicle but will when I am ready to go. That chime has been the loudest and most annoying thing. Thank you for sharing this simple yet effective hack.
Glad it helped and you’re welcome
Always wear your seat belt, unless you dont want to.
😂
Thank you so much!
Thank god I found this I was about ready to unplug the effing speakers
Works perfectly in the sierra 2023! Thank you so much for the solution my friend. I even called dealerships and asked them how to disable it and they said they couldn't and they don't know how. It was just a matter of a needle nose pliers to unplug that little thing. No lights on the dash either. Thank you again!
This was very informative thank you.
Why the fuck are dealerships so hung up about using an OBD to disable it?
They act like you’re asking them to rip out the seatbelts altogether!

Thank you sir-
You’re welcome, thanks for the comment!
You’re a lifesaver. Thanks!
Thank you so much. My 2008 would not chime until you put vehicle into gear. My 2015 chimes as soon as you turn on the key. So you have to freeze to death in winter or sweat in the summer putting on seat belt before starting engine. Sooo horrible!!!! So John Libal.....this is my reason to do it!
Thank you for the comment and I am glad that this was able to help you 🙏
Worked on 2017 Chevy Colorado. The clip was hidden, I cut the wire and it worked! Thx 👍
You’re a brave individual
Right! I called a dealership and they couldn't tell me how to make it stop. It simply unplugged the wire from the back of the seat buckle clip!
Much appreciated my friend!
Thank you!! Super helpful
Thank you for the comment
Thanks buddy
Can you assure me that with smart airbag tech, does this not also disable the airbag?
Steven Low no I can’t make any promises or assurances. You will have to do your own research.
The airbag is always enabled on the drivers side. The passengers seat is weight sensitive and that sensor is separate from the seat belt chime
@@chainsawmanny will it still work the same as a regular seatbelt?
Thanks
Thank you for the comment
Thx u bro.
Samir Saaed you’re welcome
Will this work in a 2022 Colorado?
Sorry, I’m not sure
Good luck when the airbag goes off
🤞
