52drj I made some more videos and put your videos links in my description. Hope you don't mind.... it's Kinda part 2 to your catch cup fix.. cups fixed my problem but if you park at an angle to where the water runs back ward or your truck is closer to level than stock, then you gotta do my mod to the rear gutter trough ends...
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and troubleshooting efforts: I will look for your other videos. I too have water leaking inside of my truck: I honestly don't know if I caught it early or it has been leaking for years. If interested in offering friendly advice please visit my UA-cam channel and look for my playlist titled My GMC Sierra Humidity or Water Leak
I have exact same problem. Any idea where I can get catch cups? Do you remember dimensions of cups you made? Did you silicone to roof to attach catch cups?
The problem from what I can see on my truck is the seal around the glass is faulty allowing water to the inside as stated in this vid. If this seal did not leek water would not drip on the inside edge of the seal. The whole sun roofs system was made only for leaking and draining of the outer seal. The glass seal works only when it's level but not any much of a tilt. For this reason I just put a bead of marine sealant under the top edge of the seal and the glass. My leak seems to be resolved. But it was tedious and I'll have to got back to it and clean up the edges with a razor blade.
Wonder how many of us have this dang problem. Mines at the dealership again for about the 10th time with thousands of dollars wasted for a never fixed issue.
Hi my name is Jerry, I have the same issues in my truck with the 15 Silverado. The dealer try to fix already ones I'm going to the second time. What do you think the show replace for this issues.
Go to my channel 52 drj and I have two other videos on how I repaired it. I added the catch cups and did the repair over a year ago and I have not had any water leak since, I do get some water in the catch cups but it evaporates away and I have had no more water inside of the truck the fix Works real good, show it to the dealer.
Yes I did fix it, I have 2 other videos showing how I repaired it just go to my channel. I was a GM Master tech for 18 years and had a lot of water leak experience. The next time I'm going to build the catch cups on a 3D printer for my friends truck.
Thank you for this. I had some catch cups 3d printed. Simple and great fix. My poor truck was soaked a few different times. Great job here man... My cuz said he'd make them for anyone needing a set..
Anyone ever check the sunroof drain tube, use weed eater line or the can of duster from office max every time u do an oil change

I'm sorry I don't remember the exact dimensions I made them just large enough that the linkage could drop through. I attached them with JB weld.

Also my triple led marker in the center of the roof was leaking, the light was cracked underneath by a mounting bolt
