    Nice tutorial! It made me realize though that this move is a heckuva lot easier than it seems, because I do it off a push with the back of my head and neck instead of a hip thrust. Have you tried combining both for more height?

    I tried this and apparently I am able to do this even when I lay completely flat and stretched out on the ground.
    My arms are behind my head and I do not swing my legs at all or push the ground.
    I just go from laying flat to standing up like shown in this video except for the motion he does with his legs and arms.

    Great tutorial! I'm not quite there after 5 min, but I get the idea... Be careful guys, especially if you have long hair... I slipped on my hair when I was going backwards and it wasn't fun :/

    I knew how to do this since 8th grade. Start by pushing your hands off the floor, the gradually advance to no hands. It takes explosiveness and good hip action though.

    It took me about 5 hours to make it, and i finally got it, i just had to use a lot of momentum(i got really angry thats why😅), FINALLY YESSSSSSS!!!

    So I learnt this about a week ago, but someone explain how to do it high? Even a normal kip-up - which I can land comfortably pretty much every time I try now - I am higher but still close to the deep squat position. How do you land it where you are almost standing already?

    Hands free head kip up is what I ended up with. Though it actually took me roughly 5 mins. A little more, maybe.

    For some reason it was way easier for me to get the Head Kip Up than the regular one. I actually did my first when I didn't use any hands 😆

    honestly if u can do a regular kip up, just try to put more emphasize in the kick and you will evntually automatically progress into the no handed kip up

    Practicing on the concrete floor, my mom called from downstairs and my ass and back hurts a bit, just cant seem to get my upper body up at the right time, back and feet hit the ground and I'm in a wrestlers arch position.. I need a matress.
    I keep rolling to a standing position instead of keeping that back arch when my feet touch the ground..

      A little late here but kip up with hands and without hands is different. When you do it with hands, your using your legs and core as your “pull” to kip up. With hands is exactly what it says. With your hands. You force your body off the ground with your core and mainly hands PUSHING off the ground
