I'm not a landscape photographer. There are many landscape photographers on UA-cam. I recommend you do a search for one of those videos. Landscapes are not my specialty.
A lot of Alex in this video! I have a completely different way of cropping portraits, which I call Wide Pyramids. But I want to challenge myself more to do different kinds of crops I'm not as used to doing. This is some good starting ideas.
This is great stuff.. I've always stuck to "place the eye in rule of thirds around the intersection of vertical and horizontal thirds' Today I went through some images cropping this way, and wow!! It really does help with more balance, and makes it look like I have a better eye than I do haha!!
What tool were you using to do this cropping? I feel silly asking b/c I should probably recognize it but I do not (note that I am still using Photoshop CS6 so that may be why).
Great tips! I find that precision like this is especially useful when you have a series of head shots and you want them to feel cohesive.
