I'm a technician until now before that worked on all departments as i moved to Saudi arabia i decided to take dentistry, i totally agree the quality of work depends on the persons mentality wthr you are using high end equipment or not. your work will speak for itself can't wait to graduate dentistry and apply all the knowledge I've learned as a dental technician. Awesome implant and cermic work. Cheers mate!

@@anitanapp6759 Acrylic is strong. There is no need for it to be thick. As long as the fit and occlusion (bite) are good you should be fine. If you find it rocking side to side….see your dentist as soon as possible to prevent fracture. The repair could make it thicker and effect your speech. If it fractures-repair and reline can be two separate costs. $$$ If it’s a new denture it will need a reline for it to have a better fit after healing.

I like your videos. You’ve definitely got personality and seems you’ve got knowledge. Good to find someone who seems to respect his field of work. I was shocked to find that anyone can say they build teeth, but you and I know that’s ridiculous. The problem is finding someone who completed the coursework and showed the necessary skill and sense of responsibility .

personally, I have dentures only for some missing teeth at the top of my mouth and I would look at that option first. Implants cause more problems later on when you lose bone in your mouth as well as being very expensive.

Thank you for explaining the difference between the acrylic and ceramics. Also thanks for being honest and explaining the potential costs involved. This has helped me make a more informed decision. I honestly don't think the ceramics are expensive at all. Many people wouldn't think twice to spend a couple of thousand dollars on a vacation. So why not for your teeth. Good teeth are everything. Your self image, esteem and your presentation say a lot about you. So in my opinion this cost is minimal when you compare what you gain.

Right....but the Lab costs may be 8K per Arch, but the Dentist is going to charge you 40K per arch. So something that costs the Dentist 16K, they are going to charge you 80K. So they make 64K right off the Top!!

    • @mcsnapshot1

I would contact a University School of Dentistry. They tend to be accessible for any enquiries. They are also the ones who teach the dentists in the various fields of dentistry and are therefore the most up to date source of knowledge for both patients and clinicians alike. Many surgeons tend to work with such institutions as they themselves may be lecturing in their specialist fields and be part of registering bodies that can help provide accountability and quality assurance during treatment planning.

@@rene790 This dental procedure should be affordable for everyone and not need to remortgage a home for any dental necessity. The Prostodonist should be ashamed of themselves for charging this high dollar procedure.Dental insurance will eventually need to cover some of this implant procedures. I had a screw break not to long agao......The screw is the size of a straight pin and they charged $175. For one tiny screw. This is ridiculous. If we didnt have our house to remortgage there would be no way I could have had my procedure. We were going to make a loan at the bank.........The monthly payments would have been over $700.a month. What the Prostodonist wont tell you is in 7 to 10 your will need to replace the teeth on the implant since they wear down just like dentures My husband and I are researching how there should be a cap on dental implants. This insane the amount they charge because they know people with dentures or bad teeth need their help desperately to be able to chew their food and confidence in their selves .

LSK121 there is SO much I’d love to see a video about so that is a truly difficult question for me to answer! Lol My main focus right now are the full arch restorations. I am currently doing a lot of pmma and composite characterization work on full arch restorations and hybrids. But when I’m not working on those, I work on zirconia and also do an occasional wax up. I’ve only been a lab tech for just under 6 years and I fell in love with this field of work shortly after I started. I’m 29 years old and have been an artist my entire life, specializing in realism, surrealism and illustration. So, my artistic side has really helped me advance quickly in this industry! The lab is a production lab though so that proposes an issue when it comes to the amount of time allotted for these restorations. I just want to produce the best work that I can, keep on growing and learning, etc... When a Doctor tells me how beautiful my work is and that they made no adjustments and their patients are pleased, that is the best feeling in the world! And being able to see other technicians work truly inspires me just like other artists do and I take in everything that I can! I really appreciate the response! Your work is absolutely beautiful and I just wanted to thank you for the time you took to put your videos together to help out other people like me. 😊😊😊

The high end costs 8000 bucks to make but your dentist will charge you at least 4x that. To me, dental pricing is a huge scam. They have managed to convince the world that dental work is an optional luxury cosmetic so insurance companies stay out of it. There are of course small insurance providers which pay next to nothing so mostly only preventive care is covered and not fully.

    • @robertsauceda4757

In what way is it a scam? You don't have a right to the work of others for free. They are the ones that went through dental school, have costs and overhead and have to have state of the art machines, the cost of all on 4 or comparable fixed bridge options is not alot of money if you think about it. I'd rather have new teeth than a new car. A person puts there money where their wants are plain and simple.

If you have bone loss this can't be done in one. Day.The bone has to graft over the titanium post......6 months before secure teeth will hold on the titanium post.If you have good bone then maybe in one day you can have implants.

I know several people that go to a clinic in Los Algodones on the US border in Mexico and have actually gone there myself. My dad was quoted $4500 for replacement of a lower denture here in Arizona. He had the work done there in Mexico and they replaced both the upper and lower for $1500. He met people there that traveled from as far as New York to have work done. Work can be done in other countries for less than the US, pay for their travel and in many cases even pay for their vacation at a much lower price. I'm not sure the dentists use the services of this exceptional company but I'm sure you can research and call to see what you can find. To get to Los Algodones from other parts of the country, you need to fly into Phoenix, rent a car and make the approx. 2 1/2 hr drive or get a flight into Yuma, AZ or a city in California.I was truly impressed with the services given my dad, friends of the family that recommended them as well as those I have received. I seriously would entertain the idea of the implants this company makes myself and porcelain would be far superior to acrylics.

This high quality work is done in India at very reasonable cost by many Dentists through out the country. The patient will enjoy a vacation in India, return tickets, lodging boarding, total treatment cost implants, zerconia prosthesis and more at quite much less than the cost in USA, and plus save money on top of it, compared to the total cost of treatment in US.
Many are taking advantage of this already.

While sitting in office last appointment I heard a man asking dr. for confirmation his one implant was zirconia and the dentist said no he did not use zirconia for he decided not to. I am afraid I would make him stop and redo everything for I want what I want and nothing less. I felt so sorry for that man. And the man said absolutely nothing after that....

I had trouble with the accent, but I understood the major part of the presentation. In America, we are getting a HUGE dental price tag. I spoke to a German-trained oral surgeon in Ukraine. I can get the ceramic implant for $300 in total. Even with the cost of airline tickets, lodging and meals still come in well under 1/2 of the cost here in the states. My sister-in-law had a nasty car accident. She got a deal for $2000 in American cash for TEN implants! Her implants, flight, nice lodging, and meals came in well under 4 grand! She has a gorgeous smile now.

I have a friend that was in a similar position as you. He had dentures and hated them. He said eating foot with the dentures felt like he was eating plastic. He wanted implants but couldn't afford them here. He's originally from India. He spoke to his brother who still lives in India. His brother redommended a great implant dentist in India named Dr Ishtiyak Khateeb. He paid 5000 dollars for full upper and lower implants in India.
All i can tell you is, his teeth look great. I asked him, how do the implants feel. He said they feel so natural like when he had his original teeth. Most importantly he said, they are superior then having dentures.
If you were in NY, you could talk to him and see his teeth. Remember he got full implants for his top and bottom teeth for 5000 dollars and the results are great.

I'm having a terrible problem. I am highly allergic to acrylic. This has only left me the option to have the hybrid dentures with titanium frame and I believe Zirconia is my only option. My dentist has told me that their normal hybrids are made from nanoceramic (which contains acrylic) and that it's sealed and cured and I should have no reaction. That makes me very nervous when having all of my teeth removed. My only other option with them is Zirconia which is significantly more expensive and will delay me having any teeth for a week. I currently have titanium implants (for 8 years) with no reaction, but I need to be tested for nanoceramic, zirconia, and titanium to make sure. I'm having an impossible time finding an allergist to check for dental materials. Do you know if I would have a reaction to nanoceramic with my acrylic allergy, if I'm safe with titanium since I already have it, and if anyone has reactions to zirconia? If you happen to know of any way to have the allergy testing done as well that would be amazing!!

    • @mcsnapshot1
      @mcsnapshot1 2 роки тому +1

I'm only just seeing this enquiry now, so it may be a bit late in the day if you have already got help. That being said, a lot of dental acrylic tends to be mainly comprised of PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate) this allows for standard repair material in most cases, but not all. Dental practices in the UK, under the supervision of the clinician can get a sample of the material and then get the patient to wear a (skin)plaster with the sample and then ask the patient to wear it to see if there is any reaction. Some practices do this as standard as an initial precaution, so it is worth asking. Not all acrylics are the same and there are different chemicals and methodologies involved in curing processes hence some peoples experiences of a reaction may vary.
