- In this video i am making a partial denture without clasps aka flipper. the most important thing when making this type of partials is that everything must accurate from impression to designing to waxing and also using some of the friendly undercuts to gain good retention.

Question for waxbae or anyone who might have a solution. We are getting a thin acrylic film on the teeth during process. Any ideas on what's causing this and how we can fix this problem? We are using the packing method
Wow those are just like the ones I have, having lost my two front teeth as a child I have got that same dentures, they’re just great without wires, thanks for showing how they are made .❤

I'm going in couple of weeks to have 3 front teeth checked. First timer, after doing nothing for 10+ years, this looks ideal. I also need a couple on the side which I had no intention of doing, but after watching this, i may consider, if it's done like this. I will show my dentist this, curious to see what he'll say. This may sound odd but do you know if the Ivoclar ivobase dentures / denture material is gluten free?
Thank you! That’s not an odd question at all, traces of Gluten can be found in some MMA (methyl methacrylate) dental products and it’s the same material that some manufacturers use to fabricate acrylic teeth and base material now whether the type of teeth or material we use has or not I’m no so sure about that.

Unfortunately I only use injections methods at the time. Not sure how well it would fit without clasps if processed in the conventional way though. Thanks for watching

I'VE ASKED MY DENTIST IN MIAMI FL. IF THEY CAN DO ONE LIKE THE ONE I BROUGHT FROM CUBA CAUSE IT JUST HAPPEN THAT MY DOG DESTROIDED THE ONE I BROUGHT FROM CUBA BUT SHE SAID NO 😔

Thank you for this excellent video!!! I enjoyed watching the step by step process of making it. I wanted to ask you what you're relying on for retention when it comes to RPDs without a clasp? I recently made an acrylic only RPD (no cast metal frame) with 2 wrought wire clasps for my patient in dental school and the retention was okay but not the greatest!

Suction. Very strong .Take some getting plate out.
I had similar but not front teeth.Plate with 4 teeth added .

I have upper partial dentures with no metal fittings....they don't do them in the uk but it also won't hold by itself without adhesive i lost most of my back teeth and a front side tooth😖😖
I guess its different depending on what country you live in etc though....

Yes but after evaluating the health of natural teeth and see if a claspless flipper would work. Each person is different

Are porcalain teeth more expensive as apposed to acylic teeth. I didn't like the way acrylic teeth did not discolour when I drank red wine. Can you have partials made with porcelain teeth?
I doubt that many places still use the porcelain teeth for dentures and especially partials. Best of luck

So this how they make an a partial teeth mines came with wires on both sides with my name carved in it. I feel as if it’s time to upgrade it’s been almost 1
9 years if not now and it since I got it and had it for many years I need something new that’s not gonna fall out or anything. I think I need a bridge rn imma have to talk to my doctor about it

Can you make the nylon ultra thin without all that plastic covering the roof of your mouth?? You can't taste or talk well with it, impending the roof of the mouth so much.
Hard to judge just by talking. Every case is different

I just went to see a dentist today for my concerns and he said a “ flipper” could be made but for temporary. This is the final product ISNT it?!

How retentive are they when patient eats with it? Do they need to use a lot pf poligrip? Thank you.
Most of the cases they are pretty retentive but every person is different because retention depends on many factors

Yes you could fill it later with cold cure acrylic but it may not look as defined as the initial carving

Probably flippers
The part that covers the roof of your mouth is what causes the suction that holds them in, but I’m assuming if they’re made with clasps (while not being great for the teeth they’re clasped to) there would be no need for so much on the roof, but honestly after a while you don’t even notice it!
Nail file or dremel drill....

I guarantee they had to file the palette down quite a bit. I’ve worn something similar to that and I couldn’t take it. Had to cut it back a lot.

I got the one with the clamps I hate it don’t like the way how it sit in my mouth need the real 1 crown inserted they think $1500 can just fall out the sky land to them it’s not easy when needing dental work done
