Good evening how can I get contact with you l had my teeth done in Turkey and they having done it properly l paid to get on all on 6 but they have done a really bad job
Hi Dr, I had my implants installed in Istanbul, but don’t think I am going back for the set of teeth. Can you advise on a semi temporary set that could last me about 18 months to 2 years till I put a budget together for a good one?
I wouldn't got that far, but with certain cheaper PMMA materials, the monomer could potentially leach out from the bridge after several years. Although not poisonous, it would weaken the material. Zirconia has been shown to be the most "biocompatible", it does not cause inflammation in the long term and is very stable. But it must be high quality, and without glaze on the part that touches the gum.
Yes if they are infected like mine were. They need to be pulled. If you are in the US. Call your County Health Department. They have dental clinics that is what I did. The charge for pulling my teeth was based on income. Please get them pulled.
Please can you tell me why it costs £29,000 +(i'm in Yorkshire) for a top and bottom set(smile in a day) .... for me these are out of my reach & for many people. Yet abroad its cost £9,000, at good dental or cosmetic surgery places, using same materials as your talking about. What do you think of the magnetic implants?
I know it seems like its the same materials, but it isn't. Even with zirconia, there are so many ways to cut corners, and the patient (sometimes even the dentist) will not know. There are very cheap zirconia's, and making them without a metal bar are two ways to reduce cost. This isn't the only way, there are plenty of cheap implant systems available, which again will be good enough for the short term. I know that the aesthetics will look fake, but most people who need all on 4 are often happy with something that roughly looks like teeth. I know all of these as I have seen so many disasters from abroad, and although I used to try and fix them, these days I am very reluctant, as there are so many corners cut, it often means we have to start from scratch and this is more expensive than getting it done properly in the first instance. Also, there are many other materials other than Zr, which offer great results, and you don't need to compromise on the experience of the clinician or the quality of the implants.
@@drgurssehmi I've been in abroad-type situations and have been ripped off before. In the situation I am thinking about it was the lab that was the issue, as the dentist claims he didn't know and maybe he didn't. Do you have any advice on how to determine if you can trust the lab? Could you make a video of cheap knock-off teeth versus quality teeth what to look for? Because I know you are right about abroad dentists, however many of us can barely even afford those.
In the pic you showed off the very expensive option, i.e. Individual crowns on a bar, I assume there is still the 'dreaded line' of a false gum as with all other full arches???
In the US, my estimate was $41k for the full set zirconium teeth on a titanium bar/arch. Even 3 of the 4 implants on my top have already been done been done! So tired of dental expenses…

I think its a case of it being more cost effective to outsource this part to somewhere that has the equipment and experience, than do it in house. There are plenty of places that can make a metal bar, but very few that can make it to this level of precision. The precision is important because over time, if there is a force on the implants (i.e the bar is not passive) then its very likely that the implant will fail or get early bone loss.
