Love being able to watch all your pasted travels while we’re stuck inside. Cannot wait to start traveling again. Love the channel, keep it going. Love your shooting style 🌎❤️
Watched a few of your videos over the last couple of days. Made me smile so many times to see you apply the same humble, open appreciation to Scotland as you do to the US. I am lucky enough to live in Scotland, & have done some train travelling in the US pre-lockdown also, so the vicarious tourism/reliving is much appreciated.
The two of you remind me of my traveling days 50 years ago, and make me wonder what my videos would have looked like.... In my next life I'll get to Skye!
I love your videos. It's honest and authentic and you guys make want to travel!! It's so refreshing to see. I watched the US vlog in its entirety and I was mesmerized. I mean, I'm not sure how much ramen I can eat in the trip but honestly, you guys make it so fun -- even hauling your big rucksacks! Keep it up!!!
Thank you for a nice video that reminded me of my own trips to Skye. I really like your format that captures the ambiance of travelling to and being in a place. I saw no deer either and I also got picked up by cars when I tried to hike. So that hasn't changed 😊
just saw your NYC to L.A video and at the end stumbled on this. scotland is my favorite place. you young people are making an incredible experience from your trips and surely souvenirs that you will keep for your entire life. plus, i hope for you two that these trip will cement your mutual love forever. peace and be safe
Ach, it was good to see Skye again. I went home to Scotland, and specifically Skye, for the first time in 2015. Sadly, did not have time to see Portree or the Quiraings due to time constraints. I would have liked to have known about the ruined 7th Century Kirk (Church) was as the Clan MacKinnons buried there are ancestors/fellow clansmen. I hope to go back home to Skye one day. Excellent trip. Slàinte Mhath🏴 from America.
Amazing videos Tom, new subscriber but you are getting me through lockdown and giving me hope for adventures post covid! hope you are both keeping well
Hi Tom, I stumbled across your channel while checking out other UA-camrs on this, a quiet Melbourne Sunday which is vaguely trying to be a British summer's day instead of an Aussie one. Great coverage of a laid back trip to the Isle of Skye. My visit two and a half years ago was a brief one as a day round trip from Inverness. Regular ScotRail train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh, then bus to Armadale, ferry to Mallaig, "The Jacobite" Steam Train from Mallaig to Fort William and Citylink coach Fort William back to Inverness. I recognised a few of the places you saw on the train trip, the ferry and the bridge at Kyle. I love your laid back style and ease with sudden changes of plan. I also loved your comments on the other Video about Seat travel on Amtrak. Great viewing and good advice for novice travellers too. Cheers from Michael.
I absolutely LOVED your video documentary of a country I love the most. I have travelled through Scotland by car but not hiked much, so I was very interested to see your experience doing just that. Your comedic take on various things made me laugh, but your pictures of breath taking scenery brought tears to me. I remember seeing some of the images shown here when I came to Scotland, but I have to say, I only really took it all in when I got back home. I don't know why this is. Did you both feel like this? Anyway, great vid, your wife/girlfriend is a real cutie, look forward to the next one. \m/
We visited Skye for a couple of days in Aug 2020 whilst doing NC500. We stayed around where you got the ferry to. A couple of days were enough to make it one of our favorite places in Scotland!
You must have been unlucky, as I turned down my road on my way home from work tonight, there was a deer in the field, managed to get a photo of it too, and when you said there was only 1 ATM, there's 2 on that road, and another off the square on the way to the harbour, good video though, make sure you come back after the lockdowns 👍👍
The beautiful Isle of Skye. My wife had a Westie from the Isle. I am sorry that you cut the Kiss coming from Mollie. I would have spiced up the show. I have yet to hear her speak other than the "BAAAAAAA" in this video.
What a great town :) we were there in that first hotel and cycled to loch slapin. Also went to the pizza restaurant and walked around the seafront. A really good time.
@@thornton Broadford is now hell compared to the 70s & all times before that. (It's Not a 'town' - only the through-traffic from the bridge is at that level).
American here...dreaming of the day I can make it out there. Every time I go hiking here in the states there is trash on the ground and people being annoying.
On 9/9/99 we were in Kyle to catch our train. We wandered down to the water to take some pictures. I noticed that a soldier with a gun came out and stood on guard whenever we got close to HMShip. It was a scary time for the world because computers' "end of file" was always 9s, and this was the day that computers were supposed to be all screwed up. Perhaps that is why so much caution. Nothing like that had ever happened to us. Even 20 years ago, we would have looked like what we were -- innocent and mature tourists.
Very nice short film Tom. I’d only suggest not going too deep into your Vegan preference. Trying to ‘refuse’ the milk for the train breakfast... just let it go bud. Nice job re. the music overlay. Do you get any grief from selfish artists over this? Next time in North America, I suggest taking the Calgary to Vancouver, Seattle and down to San Diego. It’s a great scenic trip. Nothing more beautiful IMO than British Columbia...
Once Covid is over, you should visit South Africa. It will be cheap for you as you get A LOT of Rands for 1 Pound! Isle of Skye look to me like just regular Western cape in winter. Take note... during this time of the pandemic where vaccines are staring to roll out... The tourism industry here market awesome packages at give away prices!
Hardly any time outdoors on their feet then. Predictably. Many of those places pointed out in Portree are closed, some for ever. Predictably, I suppose!
I've watched a few of your videos, I really like your low key chilled video style. Cheers!
I just found your channel. I have been enjoying traveling through your eyes. Thank You
You have such a talent - great filming, entertaining and interesting too. Hope to see more when travel restrictions are lifted.
Thanks so much Marion, I hope I can live up to this when we can travel again and best wishes from Europe.
Brilliant videography of simply stunning scenery.

Thanks so much, Roman, giving you something to watch in times like this is a huge privilege! Thanks for your comment.
Another great video. You two seem like a great couple, Molly is beautiful!

A lovely video. Really enjoyed it. You are a lovely couple and I wish you all the very best for a long future together. Keep making videos please.
Thank you so much 😊 All the best, from Germany.

We were supposed to go in 2020, but then COVID happened hopefully 2022. Beautiful video! I totally would of stopped to give y’all a ride 🤩
I ve seen America by train and now this.. Keep a good work and thanks for sharing your dreams with, us, much love from Croatia, Cheers, mate!

Thanks Lewis, really good to meet you. We’re doing well, working hard and planning for the future. I hope you’re doing well too.
I cant get over how talented your filming/editing skills are. You seem to capture some amazing cinematics!
Ooooh! There are dinosaur trackways on the beaches of Skye! Gigantic sauropod dinosaurs (the big, long-necked kind) walked where you are walking!
I can’t believe you compared Fallow Deer in Richmond Park with the Highlands of Scotland!
Keep making movies, dudes! I'm excited to see more travel videos after Covid. :)
For sure, more to come! Thanks so much Jed.

Sigh..Every time I am off and I watch a video of yours it makes me yearn so badly to travel. Lol. One day soon!! Thank you for sharing.
I think as always you are doing your best to be positive in a very dreary place

My mother named me after this very place
Have you been? I recommend!
This is soooo good! I want my dinner, lol me too kid 😂
good video , thanks for sharing :)
Thank you cheery! I'm hoping to most more videos like this soon. I've just finished a whole series on Japan which is now on my channel :)
Amazing 😁
Thanks mate :) have you been to the island?
@@thornton Not yet but been in both England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales so far. Have many amazing experiences in that part of the world.
Wonderful video. Is there a way you can let us know where you are in the different parts of the video?
I must be lucky as I live in Broadford

How much was the return train journey if you don't mind me asking?
how did you not get lost? haha, how did you know where to go with the bikes and how to get back?
Very nice short film Tom. I’d only suggest not going too deep into your Vegan preference. Trying to ‘refuse’ the milk for the train breakfast... just let it go bud.

I always think you’re gonna propose at the end of the video. Idk if y’all are married or not, but y’all are perfect together.
Not sure id risk hitchhiking these days .. bit risky, thought that was only something people did in old movies.
really enjoy your videos. please wear your bike helmets correctly. they aren't doing you any good wearing it that far back on your head.

Mr. Tripod
Was that the Harry Potter bridge?
exactly! :)

Tom, you look so sad, at times I thought you might cry ! What's up !
Some people just have that as their innocuous neutral expression. I always get told to smile when I'm perfectly happy, and it gets old fast.
too many sheep and cattle overstocking abd cars should be banned .
Scotland's better than England :D
