Since filming this series in May/June I am saddened to say that Dave Fowler from West Coast Mountain Guides has sadly lost his life in the mountains - I will leave the videos up at the moment in his memory. Dave gave me the best 4 days I have ever had in the Mountains and memories that will last with me forever.
His passion and love for the outdoors really shows. He will be sadly missed by myself and many others. Thoughts are with everyone involved at this time - RIP Dave.. 🏔
Thank you for making these videos and for doing such a fantastic job, we watched all of the cuillin series of videos you made with him in Dave’s front room one evening over a few whiskeys. From some one who had the privilege of calling Dave his friend these make a fine tribute and lasting memory of our friend. Please keep these videos up as long as you can as these form part of the archive and memory of a true legend within the guiding community in Scotland and beyond.
R.I.P Mate, will see you again someday and will have a fine whiskey ready to share.

Thank you Jim, great memories for sure. Thank you for sharing that with me, I hope you are doing OK at this difficult time.
Cheers, James

I came to the comments to see if this was the case. Dave’s tragic accident was a big loss to the community and this is your tribute to his life.
RIP Dave. Devastated to hear this news. Thoughts and prayers to his family 🙏
Congratulations on bagging the toughest Munro. But even more impressive is the footage. I have watched many vids of climbing in the Cuillins and this has to be one of the best and most dramatic, really giving a sense of the drops off either side. The shots from the lower two thirds of the InPinn were breathtaking.
Agreed - the footage of the actual climb really gave a sense of what it's like, as well as the lovely dramatic flyovers.
Thank you Gregor 😄 it was an epic day for sure!
Wow! I’m just back from the western highlands and had a pop over to Skye. As I hike with my dogs, many of the Cuillins are a no-go for us - the In Pin included! But what a fabulous video - spectacular views and weather! I remember the views from Sgurr Na Banachdich….really something to behold!
OMG, I watched this wondering how Danny Macaskill had managed to carry his bike to the top. My heart really was in my mouth at times. What a spectacular adventure video. Totally out of my league and so good to watch. Well done for having the 'bottle' to do this. Absolutely amazing. Cheers. Stoozer. 🤠
Another xcellent video. I'm not Munro Bagger but I've climbed the In Pin, you perfectly captured the beauty of the Cullins from such a staggeringly exposed location. I must return to Skye : )
Norman Collie was my great great great great uncle. Mountains run in our blood. Amazing vid.
Very very well done James. You must be delighted to have got the In Pinn done? Your footage on both the In Pinn and Collies Ledge, captured the exposure, that is so widely talked and written about, superbly. The views were breathtaking. What a wonderful place Skye is. Very much looking forward to your next video. Congratulations again.
Thanks Jon - yes delighted to get the In Pinn done 😁 really enjoyed it in the end!
Cheers, James
Wow only 3.5 thousand feet high but these are truly BIG mountains. That was amazing.
Unreal! That look incredible. Some of the best footage of the Cuillin I've ever seen!
James, was glued to my seat there and goosebumps throughout the whole video, i re-lived the inn pin ascent and understood how you felt while doing it, when your feet land after the abseil its a sense of relief and accomplishment, loving the skye series and having these in your library is fantastic memories. appreciate the mention and cant wait for the next one.
Thanks Gavin, yes I hope that brought back some good memories for you 😂 what a place..
Cheers, James
Another fantastic video James, the headcam shots on the ledge and ascent of the In Pin were incredible. Hats off to you.
Quite the tight squeeze up that side of the Munro...tethered to your guide...i just closed my eyes on those foot wide paths..I do not like heights...good job on the climb.....👍👍 Fantastic drone views of the area...
Well done. Magic. What a country we have.
(There is a great stone chute off of Aonach Eagach; you can see the pub all the way)
Wow wow wow, unreal mate well done, that ledge I’ve done some crazy stuff in the Lakes but nothing like that 😮
Brilliant James, we had sweaty palms just watching that! Neil and Rachel
Well done James - anothergreat day in the Cuillins. Your headcam makes it look far more exposed than I remamber it.- Collies ledge looked so different from the easy path that I remember doing on a few occasions. Climbing scree isn't my favourite but descending it is never that bad. I remember climbing Mount Narrahoe, a New Zealand volcano - 55 mins up and 5 mins down, the fastest and eaasiest descent I've ever had.
Superb again James. So glad the weather gods were on your side for the Cuillin week, ideal conditions to experience them. ❤Skye.
I live on Skye and have always wanted to get into these mountains but I’m couldn’t cope with the exposure. Brilliant video, thanks for posting. Very sad news about your guide 😢
Well done, James. Fantastic, scary, and triumphant footage in weather the mountain gods blessed you with. Congratulations and thank you!
Wow - breathtaking. Literally. I felt sick just watching it!
Wow, the footage going up the In Pinn had my heart racing! And that first drone shot as the music starts, wow... In awe, thank you
Congratulations on doing the Inn Pinn and for recording it all. Amazing weather that you had. Looking forward to next weeks video.
Amazing video, well done. I got vertigo just watching it!
Amazing. I used to do a bit of hill walking before I became ill, and I once thought of bagging all the munroe.... however this absolutely 💯 made me anxious just watching it on my sofa.... 😂😂
Unreal James! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The footage is something else, the close quarters on the climb to the epic drone shots, really captures it all beautifully. Thanks so much for sharing this with us mere mortals 😁 🏴
Brilliant James and congratulations, jeezo I was nervous watching that
Breath taking ~ even in my younger days it would never have been within my abilities as not really got a head for heights. Well done.
Well, that’s me convinced to stick to bagging the Wainwrights instead. Congratulations on that epic summit. Looking forward to the rest of your adventure.
Fair play fella. Great footage as well. Looking forward to the next installment.
tried to do it twice now, but the combination of time off work, family and our wonderful Scottish weather means its still to be conquered! very jealous of the weather you had. well done!!!
Cracking video, felt like I'm back hiking in Scotland, subscribed.
Love your footage ❤
Stunning and both terrifying at the same time!
Brilliant edit! Thanks for a great week on the Cuillin.
Soar Alba 🏴 absolutely stunning, great achievement
Well done James, amazing as always 🤝
Unreal footage as always
It is certainly a memorable section of the rdige, you had a lovely day for it. I scrambled up and down solo (the long side) but I can appreciate the use of proper guides for most 'baggers'.
You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din!
Bloody brilliant man 👏👏👏
Absolutely awesome 👍
Well Done. Thank you for the brilliant footage.
Wow, fantastic. Congrats on making it up there!
Well done and amazing footage 💪👍
Well done James 👏

Great video, fantastic scenery, thank you for a great climb.
Well done. Fantastic video and superb views
That is giving me the fear just watching you shimmy along the ledge at the start.
I think I can safely say that I will never bag this one. 🤣
Haha it was scary 🤣 just glad I can watch it back in safety now
Absolutely incredible mate👏Footage is unreal👌Well done mate what an achievement that is👏Superb stuff👌
Well done, buddy! Smashing through them!
Well done. An absolutely inspiring journey. Your videos provide a real sense of the effort and planning required. As you have done in the past with some of your Top Munros reviews, I'm sure this one has to be up there soon. Great footage. Take care. 🎉❤
Just awesome James! Well bloody done!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great video. The music and drone footage near the end was amazing. Well done on your achievement.
Absolutely fantastic video. My hands are still sweating!
Well done, great video.
Very much enjoyed your video-cheers.
Great video. Great day for it. Reminds me so much of the in pinn last year. One of the best days ever on the hills.
Terrifying. But again great filming and narration. You really get a feel for how it would be to climb these mountains by watching 👏🏻
Well done superb views
Sweaty palms watching that.
Me too 😂
Hi James. Absolutely amazing, just wonderful, well done, that’s some exposure to put yourself up against, fair play. Thank you so much for sharing your day with us. All the best Dave. ⛰😀🥾🏴
Very well done. Great filming. Very scary!
Kudos to you, fantastic video, the shot at 13.52 truly fantastic :)
Well done james . You done amazing
I couldnt manage that i dont have the balance for that
Fabulous
Amazing video mate. I was just about speechless. It was edge of your seat stuff. Drone footage was spectacular as usual. I hope I have the guts to do that one day. Can't wait for next week.
Thanks Alan - what a place it is! I never thought I would manage something like this, the guide Dave was fantastic & fills you full of confidence 😄
Cheers, James
Well done James!👍That’s some exposure on the climb up to the pinn😮
Very nice editing and amazing footage!
This is probably the first decent presentation of the In Pinn I have seen so far; this video really gave me an idea of the conditions on the ridge.
Also cheers to your guide, from my experience, he handled walking as a rope team very well.
Brilliant mate well done 👏🏻 on bagging those bad boys especially the inn pin! The footage is first class 🤩
Nice footage of Mr Fowler on the top! Well done on your climb!
Very well done James. Fantastic footage especially of Collies Ledge which despite having climbed these Munros, I've never been along. You really struck it lucky with the weather too. Looking forward to the next instalment. Cheers.
Hi James, This is turning into a superb mini series with your usual high standard. Well done and looking forward to the next one. Cheers
Thanks Charlie - was so lucky with the weather considering I booked it around 6 months ago.. what a place!
Magic video
Great video, it brought back some marvellous memories of when I did the Cuillin Ridge with my father many years ago.
Well done! this one really gives me the fear .
Well done to you James. It is a wonderful achievement that literally lifts you up and for sure, will remain with you life long. You had awesome weather but agree it would be a great deal more challenging if it was wet. Thankfully on both occasions I have been over these two it was similar to your experience. Collies ledge is really special. It definitely tests your nerve. Superb video James. Loved watching it.
Awesome video! We are doing the Inn Pin next year with West Coast Mountain Guides also so this video has really helped.
Thanks for introducing me to Beluga Lagoon , absolutely hooked
No problem, the more people to find out about them the better 😁👍
@@ScottishMunroJourney - what was the name of the Blue Lagoon track that you featured in this video?
Absolutely stunning videos, buddy. I'm still recovering from ankle surgery, so I really enjoyed this 😊
Very well done, James - and thanks for sharing it! You should feel proud of yourself after that! Even if I was fit, there's no way I could do that, as I just don't have a head for sheer drops!
Congratulations!!
I was down by loch coruisk couple of weeks ago and this has completed the trip as I had wondered what it's like up the top! Amazing video!!
Wonderful video. What a contrast to the clag and wind on my ascent with Martin Moran.Great music at the end.
Well done! There is no way in hell that I could ever do that lol. I was nervous even looking at this video. Insane😬
Fanflinkingtastic man! That was breathtaking and made me glad you did it and not me! You got some incredible viewpoints! Congratulations on doing that - bound to be super glad to have done those and in Scotland's best weather conditions! Must now go and rewatch the ridge with Danny Macaskill and realise how bonkers what he did was too!
Thanks Jonathan 😁 haha I must have watched Danny’s video about 10 times before doing the ledge - it is unbelievable 😮 what a place..
Cheers, James
Hi James, that was epic, just epic. Very well done to you, and the footage was fantastic considering you were roped up and hands on rock. Made my jaunt around the Brecon beacons and over Penny Fan this morning look like a trot around Tesco's car park!! And I got soaked! Good on you my friend. Cheers,Ozzy.
Everything is wonderful in this amazing video; they are dreamscapes, excellently filmed and presented.

thank you!
first video of yours I have seen - great - subscribed. I could feel the exposure sat on the sofa !
Thank you 😁 haha I definitely felt the exposure doing it 😂
Wow well done and filming too. Really enjoyed that and hearing your thoughts as you climbed. Well done on those two. Your guide is excellent and professional at all times. Very envious of that weather

@@ScottishMunroJourney thanks for showing us what it’s like, I’m fascinated by it but could never do it.
Absolutely amazing James 👏 you captured Collie's Ledge and the Inn Pinn brilliantly 🏔️ what fantastic weather you had again 😂 your drone footage was excellent 👌 probably one of the best Skye videos i've seen and a very fitting tribute to Dave 👌 atb Brian 👍
Thanks Brian, memories that will last with me for a long time.. Cheers, James
