I’m sorry Mystic, but no freaking way should Primarina be that low on this list. For one, Water/Fairy is a great defensive typing that can also hit really hard. It only has three weaknesses in Grass, Electric and Poison and the only one it has no coverage for is electric. Ice Beam takes care of Grass and Psychic easily takes cares of Poison. Sparkling Aria or Scald are great Water STAB moves and I don’t really need to say anything about Moonblast. And as you mentioned the unpredictability of its held item, of which Primarina can use quite a few, makes it really tricky to game plan for.

Exactly my thoughts. No way is Primarina AND Feraligatr below Blastoise. That thing was NUBL in Gen 8, whereas the other two were UU back in Gen 7, Primarina being UU in Gen 8 as well, higher than Blastoise. Your point with Swampert is debatable. I'm sorry to say this, but Mystic this is your third strike out for these starter ranking videos, and honestly, all 3 of them are just flat wrong. For the fire starters, you put freaking charizard at no. 1? I know the dude got megas and Gmax, but if you're really trying to compare them in regards to their current status in gen 9, or just flat by themselves, the nepotism lizard is incredibly undeserving if it needs GF welfare gimmicks to make it relevant. Plus, your argument of Venusaur needing to hold an item compared to Meowscarada should have applied to that video, or any starters with megas for that matter. If that were the case, Cinderace would most likely have taken top spot for its sheer utility and power. Hell, it doesn't even need libero to prove useful in OU. For the grass starters, you ranked Meganium above both Decidueyes and Sceptile!? The only way I can ever even begin to believe anybody ranking the plant little foot potato over any other grass starter is freaking gen 2 bias and cope. I don't regard Decidueye being the most viable grass starter despite my bias, but you're trying to argue that a pokémon with actual mixed attacking stats, priority, hazard clear utility, immunities, and a personal trapping niche is worse than a pokémon who's meant to do a mediocre job at tanking, you lost all credibility in your reasoning right there. And finally, you put Primarina, the water starter with objectively the best type combo of any water starter in the game, and also the best special attack cannon of starters thus far towards the bottom? Speed isn't everything, and if you are ignoring the fact that Primarina can bulk out seemingly super effective hits, and also got buffed with nasty plot this gen, then I don't even know what to say. It's clear these videos are meant to be biased and opinionated, but I would've expected better reasonings and arguments as to why certain starters could be seen better or worse than how you explained them.
You know that the water type starters are pretty solid when regular Samurott is the worst one. It’s just terrible and can be used quite well albeit with difficulty so yeah
Can u Do another video about the other starters like pikachu , partner pikachu & Eevee ( like how those starters work in let’s go games and how they are straight up immortal in some battles) and make another video ranking them all in a tier list based on on who would destroy who in a 1v1 bracket or some.
Empoleon cot a Competitive boost in the 9th generation... by getting Competitive as it's HA instead of Defiant! Now you can Switch into an Intimidate foe, and get a boost to its stronger attacking stat!
My personal ranking: 1. Swampert - my personal favorite; best starter to use in playthroughs; great defenses, resistance and immunity; balance in offense and defense. Though a huge drawback in speed since its better ability was locked behind mega. I hope they just put Swift Swim as its hidden ability rather than Damp. 1. Greninja - yeah it is arguably better due to its speed and coverage of moves. 3. Hisuan Samurott - a well deserved powerhouse. 4. Primarina - fairy types are strong and arguably broken. Being fairy type alone made it better than the other 6. 5. Empeleon - great typing. Balance of opponse and defense. Too bad that stupid monkey needed to ruin gen 4. 6. Blastoise - being from gen 1, it got too many benefits from version to version (all thanks to Charizard I guess). But again, its best playstyle depends on Mega. 7. Quaquaval - the other two starters are better than it but it still get the work done. 8. Feraligatr - Gyarados exists 9. Samurott 10. Intelleon - atleast Samurott is better to look at.
Honestly Primarina and Inteleon wayy too low. Inteleon I kind of get since it shouldn't have been monotype, but that thing still rules. Primarina though is easily the most powerful Alola starter. By like.. A lot
g-max blastoys was amazing in doubles. great support and i got me a few games. priety impressive with a wacan berry, witch it needed vs zapdos and regieleci. or it be a one shot vs those 2 powerhouses. icy wind, hydro pump, helping hand and protect. can't wait to use him again in the next S&V dlc with zapdos as a partner. zaspdos, blastoise, T-landorus, incinaroar, rilleboom not sure about the last slot atm.
Feraligator now compared to its debut is much better. If we had all that we have now for gen II, this is my personal opinion for Feraligator: Strongjaw as the ability, since it can learn Crunch and Ice Fang. One could also give it a mega that is Water/Dark or Water/Dragon.
It's such a shame Ash-Greninja no longer exists. Please bring it back in X and Y remakes Game Freak please? Or at least do Mega Greninja and base its design of Ash-Greninja
I honestly wish the writers never went down that road. Considering all the trouble and effort they went through and it didn't pay off when it mattered, granted I feel the only reason they did...was because they probably felt hand tied since Greninja was also insanely popular, and if they had given Ash a mega whoever it was would've overshadowed Greninja...but even so, looking back I would've prefered an actual mega to what we ended up getting.

I’ll admit, Inteleon w/ Sniper ability & Scope Lens is gimmicky, no mistake. I mean, even if you use a critical-rate boosted move like Snipe Shot, with Scope Lens, in the current generation, that’s a 50% chance of a critical hit with Sniper boosted damage. However, I don’t deny that this is still pretty good gimmick. I even made it work with my Ariados, who is a bad Pokémon, no doubt, but I love Gen 2 Pokémon, or ones who evolve from them or regional variants of them. A Poison Tera-type, Cross Poison, Sniper, Scope Lens, Adamant Ariados was able to take down a 5-star Fairy Tera-Type Armarouge in a Tera Raid in only a few hits, with no knockouts. Competitive? It’ll never work. Gimmicky in a Tera Raid? Yep, and it works!

Charizard hater detected. Opinion discarded.
I agree. Pretty biased lists which would be fine if it was just his opinion but he's trying to be objective.
Feraligatr shouldnt be this low... its def top 5
You know that the water type starters are pretty solid when regular Samurott is the worst one. It’s just terrible and can be used quite well albeit with difficulty so yeah
Og Samurott is kind of sad. The other two Unova starters' saving graces were in their hidden abilities. But Samurott was out of luck there too.
Now you can Switch into an Intimidate foe, and get a boost to its stronger attacking stat!
nooo! samurott is my favorite starter! (at least Hisuian Samurott did really well!)
My personal ranking:
8. Feraligatr - Gyarados exists
9. Samurott
10. Intelleon - atleast Samurott is better to look at.
Other than speed, I think you misjudged my favorite Idol Pokémon.
Also, honestly curious about your opinions on Pikachu and Eevee from Let’s Go.
It had to be rough ranking the water ones because they primarily are usually the best/second best for their generation.
weakness policy primarina could solo this whole list - energy ball, dazzling gleam, blizzard, and hydro pump… primarina was done dirty in this video
Honestly Primarina and Inteleon wayy too low. Inteleon I kind of get since it shouldn't have been monotype, but that thing still rules. Primarina though is easily the most powerful Alola starter. By like.. A lot
Do top 10 strongest in game trainers !!
g-max blastoys was amazing in doubles.
great support and i got me a few games.
priety impressive with a wacan berry, witch it needed vs zapdos and regieleci. or it be a one shot vs those 2 powerhouses.
icy wind, hydro pump, helping hand and protect.
can't wait to use him again in the next S&V dlc with zapdos as a partner.
zaspdos, blastoise, T-landorus, incinaroar, rilleboom not sure about the last slot atm.
I really like Primarinas typing, especially for in game. But I think my favorite overall is Empoleon
Facts greninja is my favorite and best water type starter
Feraligator now compared to its debut is much better.
If we had all that we have now for gen II, this is my personal opinion for Feraligator:
Strongjaw as the ability, since it can learn Crunch and Ice Fang.
One could also give it a mega that is Water/Dark or Water/Dragon.
Water/Dark + Strong Jaw is literally just a Mega Sharpedo reskin
Water/Dragon with a new Dragon biting move would be great tho
Gutted that Blastoise and Feraligatr didn’t make the top 5
I'm calling it, Swampert is number 1
Edit: HOW THE ACTUAL F*** IS SWAMPERT NUMBER 3 (although I love Greninja more)
It's such a shame Ash-Greninja no longer exists.
Gator and primarina should be higher.
Grinja should be lower since the nerf of protean and lost of bonds.
The water starters are so busted.
Fire it can be a given either way
Grass........they are green
Idk these latest generations Grass Starters > Fire/Water Starters, Serperior is going to go insane withTera Fire 😅
@@juniperjahir38 thats just proving my point right there. Not disproving it by how that pokemon is better in a later gen while also having a tera type and hidden ability.
That's like me saying swampert had no weaknesses in mega using ice punch in the rain while getting a crit. It's so hyper specific that base version isnt as good as base swampert for that snek
@@ivanbluecool Meowscarada one shots every water starter with Flower Trick and Rillaboom stomps every water starter with Grassy Surge Grassy Glide combo that is without holding a focus sash, Serperior since generation 5 had Contrary but wasn’t able to use it until gen 6, it was already an amazing pokemon with Leafstorm Contrary while also having glare and had a remarkable speed stat, I’m just saying a pokemon that was already good is going to get even better by new battle mechanics 🤷🏻♀️

@@juniperjahir38 Empoleon isn't weak to Flower Trick and OHKOs with Ice Beam
i would put primarina in 6 place instead of blastoise
You should do an updated ALL REGION best team.
Samurott is the Daniel meme where Hisuian is the cooler Daniel
I actually really like Meganium, I’m using one currently in my HG run and it’s a pretty good tank. Probably my second or third favorite grass starter
Unfortunately it can't be a good tank to its poor typing with weaknesses everywhere.
@@TundraRage maybe so, but it’s done well for me to this point
Let's go! 🎉
How does Eq not effect toxapex and tentacruel
Video suggestion how to make certain starters good
Medicority of Blastoise will always be sad
What did they do Samurott?
I’m sorry but their isn’t anyway primarina is that low, it’s easily better then blastoise and empoleon. Feraligatr should also be higher, and ide argue it’s a little better then gyarados and quaquaval.
Water starter idea:
Astronaut Tardigrade
Type: water/bug (has type combination throughout all evolutions)
Other Sci-Fi theme starters are:
Moss cyborg Japanese chin dog
Grass/steel as final evolution
And
Laser red panda
Fire/psychic as final evolution
hisuian samurot is not that good imo, would put it below empoleon and swampert
How to fix normal Samurott? Give him Shell Smash and Flip Turn. The Hisuian form is nice but it noves he really should've gotten.
Ironically, the Unovan Samurott has better defensive stats than it’s Hisuian counterpart
@adamthespinygiant it's defenses are not enough in most cases, and doesn't have many ways to utilize it
@@Lightdragon773oh well. I guess I’m one of the few that prefer Jack (Unovan Samurott) over Aku (Hisuian Samurott)
Replace Shell Armor with Supreme Overlord as well. Kingambit's ability was tailor made for it
Can you please make a Pokémon xenovers best team there’s not a single one on UA-cam please make one
Bruh, G-Max Inteleon has the High Ground! Don’t disrespect it!
So is Quaquaval Josuke now?
I think I was the 1000th like (without even listening to the stip….)…..sorry Mystic?
Primarina at 8 ??? Absolutely garbage list tbh
Even garbage is that he mentioned inteleon can swap it's position to 8
The list was like its made by a noob who doesn't even have knowledge in competitive pokemon
It's better if You added **my** list of water starters worst to best
Anyways as all starters are returning in gen 9 we can see which were viable more in competitive play
Not only competitive, Primarina is actually a beast in game play of gen 7 games
Why you think sobble and poplio are weak if you care about them they will be good and also the starters will be for the legends in generation 5 starters are treekio fanaken and Squirtle they where Easter eggs for the next legends game next year. And please watch blueberry Academy trailer
Omg are you Fr?
