Only in LA, homeless people live in better housing than working class people. And of course, this apartment is all paid for by working class people’s taxes. Great job, LA!

Maybe the good people of the community should have focused on creating jobs
for everyone instead of the select few. I commend the politicians.

600k managed by a "nonprofit." Yea right. You think there are not deals with the builders?
    "affordable housing"
    Is all absurd.

Well, one of the news stations interviewed two separate new (previously unhoused) tenants - and they seem pretty decent and intelligent. Also, the reporter said 40 percent of the units are being set aside exclusively for veterans, plus some of the unhoused people actually have steady jobs and are going to have to pay 30 percent of their earned income for rent. The politicians are finally starting to make more sense these days, in that they seem to have figured out that they need to first get the gainfully employed, non-addicted people (whose jobs simply don't pay high enough wages and salaries to afford today's ridiculously overpriced rents) off the sidewalks first to rapidly bring the sheer numbers of skid row tent city residents down... And then work on housing the residents with more complicated issues later.

This is the exact opposite of what they need to do. They house a few hundred , then a few thousand move in from other states hoping to get the same deal.. The cynic in me believes that's the plan and they have no intention to actually solve the problem.

I've seen the homeless TRASH places, by treating them like they were hotels, and still living like they were still in a tent! Remedial classes, on how to live a civilized life!!!
