    To my own research In USA, individuals living in cars due to partial homelessness result from a complex interplay of factors. High housing costs relative to income, stagnant wages, and income inequality drive this issue. Job loss, weak social support, medical expenses, evictions, and lack of affordable housing also contribute, while systemic problems and inadequate policies further perpetuate the phenomenon.

      Considering the present situation, diversifying by shifting investments from real estate to financial markets or gold is recommended, despite potential future home price drops. Given prevailing mortgage rates and economic uncertainty, this move is prudent, particularly due to stricter mortgage regulations. Seeking advice from a knowledgeable independent financial advisor is advisable for those seeking guidance.

      I've remained in touch with a financial analyst since the start of my business. Amid today's dynamic market, the key difficulty is pinpointing the right time to buy or sell when dealing with trending stocks - a seemingly simple task but challenging in reality. My portfolio has grown by more than 5 figures within just a year, and i have entrusted my advisor with the task of determining entry and exit points.

People maybe need to move out of CA. There are shelters for people who can't afford things, as long as you're not doing drugs, etc. Local counties have resources available and you can look things up at the library for free.

These developments are structured under a different assistance program whereby a tenant can pay 30, 40, or 50%. There are many programs under the umbrella of Section 8, not just one. I had a friend living in “affordable housing” and her unit was 50%. That made her still responsible for a monthly portion of over $900 on a fixed income. Why would the money go back? It goes to the landlord, the owner or owners of the building. Every penny.

Could have built thousands of mini homes with what they spent on this building. One thing is providing housing. Another thing is providing luxurious units with all amenities that most people that work hard and pay taxes couldn’t afford.

  • @aztecadog
    @aztecadog Місяць тому +2

    In the 90’s our corrupt government, nationwide, decided to tear down most of the housing projects and instead pay rents (section 8), bringing millions of renters into the rental market- one of many reasons housing is out of reach for a growing number of Americans, all the reasons created by government-
    The housing projects were well planned, they were near schools, bus lines, walking distance from industrial areas with work, they had health clinics/hospitals nearby, parks and recreation centers-
    But they were planned & built during a time when our government was semi decent, semi honest and sorta wanted to fix things, then the 90’s brought us what has become the most corrupt, most disconnected, most self serving government that even surpassed the corruption of the late 1800’s/early 1900’s that brought us the Great Depression and wars-
    This tearing down housing projects, turning them into lofts for the yuppies then building multi billion $ ‘solutions’ for the ‘unhoused’, anyone can see are failures is symbolic of our times

  • @Treyrizer

California is so large, it still has the second-highest number of vacant homes - about 8.7% according to the report, or around 1.2 million empty homes. Deed these homes to the homeless after they put in 2 years at 8 hours per day labor under the supervision of construction contactors !! The State can donate the basic building materials. They must work labor to qualify !! No free lunch !!

    A society has to have compassion and a safety net--but not to the point where they it disincentivizes the productive class. When there are more takers than makers, and the makers are sacrificing too much, they will leave. No matter the extent of a citizenry's compassion and empathy, eventually they will leave when they bear too much of the weight of a dysfunctional welfare state.

Now they will give these people who have not earned it a beautiful highrise that I cannot afford to live in working full time a basically free place to live that is paid for with taxpayer money. The people living here will continue to get excessive taxpayer money and will still be on the street begging for tax free money. It’s ridiculous.
