I don't know how many Brits might have been there...But I know it was at least one.... ME!!. 🤘🤪🤘...Flew out in Nov from Scotland to be at this concert...I also flew out in Jan to see them at Tokyo Garden Theater...Both concerts available on DVD/BR (This one out in late March),..Long May They Reign!👑🥰

Misa says she likes to play without shoes so she can feel the kick drum directly into her body so she can play dead on the beat with Akan. Makes sense , as by the time the kick goes thru the production chain , could be some micro delay. Misa cares about the beat and accuracy, She is always ON it !
The bass is an integral part of the BAND-MAID "sound". Never underestimate what BAND-MAID is capable of producing. Peace. 12.9

It's a trope that bassists are guitarists who can't make it, but I think a good bassist hears music differently; from the bottom up rather than the top down. In MISA's case she started on guitar and her high school sensei/upperclassman/mentor asked her to join his band on bass. She borrowed one, liked it, bought her own and played in Prototype for five years before joining Band-Maid. She still plays guitar and keyboards, and you know she loves bass. You mentioned Lovebites and they were there, on the walkway rail about halfway down stage left.
If she wore shoes...she wouldn't be the Barefoot Assassin. Have you heard MISA speak? She actually sounds like Mr T...when she tells the engineers"I don't need no click-track fool" 👊😁🤘🤘🤘
Glad you liked this one. Band Maid is absolutely one of the very few artists who consistently outperform their studio tracks. They make the audience part of the show.
And the Maids are also a rare musical talent when it comes to songwriting. The test? Ask yourself to name your top ten songs from your favorite bands. Can you quickly name that many?
Ask Band Maid fans. Not only will they struggle to limit their favorite songs to only ten, but you’ll probably find no two lists match.
For their concert tours, they never play the same sets twice. They have so many hits that they have an abundance of songs to rotate in and out of the sets.

PS Misa has stated in interviews that she simply “is uncomfortable” with shoes. She’ll wear slip ons for hot or grassy conditions
I think this is the best of Saiki, ever, power up a couple of notches, tons of confidence….
The audience participation you mentioned at 2:40; rather than being a Japanese thing, it is a Band-Maid audience thing. We also do it in the US. Saiki urges them on and gives a thumb up of approval. The guys you mentioned at 5:40; they just happened to get caught in the spotlight shining past Saiki.
MISA the Barefoot Assassin plays a five string bass ! I love its gritty tone and the extra string helps her win most of these duels ! All of Band-Maids Official Live Videos sound great and the production is next level as well ! That was a fun reaction. Thanks guys. I'm still a relatively new fan of Band Maid as well but I think you should consider Hate? from the same show next. After that the official live versions of Puzzle, Manners/Black Hole, Play, No God, Freedom, Domination, Choose Me and Moratorium. Or in other words, you won't go wrong no matter which song you listen to, These ladies have reignited my love of hard rock.

Yet again, on another level.
"You don't see that very often" is a perfect testment to the greatness of Band Maid. They write songs that are catchy... Songs that leave you no option but to enjoy and bang with it. They also are the best in any live setting. They execute and play like their lives depend on it. Every member is a phenom and they just play well and blend well together. They captivate and interact with the crowd and of course just to make it even better... they are charming as hell too.
If you want to see another duo Kanami(lead guitar) and Misa (bass) check "Hate?" from the same concert. Amazing performance!

Misa has said that she plays barefoot as she can feel the band through the stage, she was the only one that didn't wear in ear monitors for a while although I think she does now. She comes a cropper at festivals in the summer when it's hot and will then put on very minimal slipons as the stage can be very hot.
IIRC they mentioned somewhere that unlike the others she has pass-through holes in her IEMs. Makes me a little worried about hearing loss for her, depending on how large they are.

Great reaction! One can't go wrong with any of their over 120 original songs, however this band excels in live concerts as you saw. They are able to bond with their audience in a special way that will fill their performances with high energy which is transferred back to the crowd which fires them up even more. Each of these Band-Maid ladies of rock are spectacular in their own right and are elite, top tier musicians who play seamlessly together to produce awesome songs of absolute brilliance. The sound engineers didn't capture the audience singing back in the chorus. There's actually better versions of this from their other recorded concerts. I suggest Hate from this show as it's the best video from this live show they've uploaded.
