- Ohio State Marching Band Script Ohio Le Regiment de Sombre et Meuse Band Concert 11 10 2016. The Ohio State University Marching Band, TBDBITL, The Best Damn Band In The Land. Marching Band Concert at the palace Theatre in Columbus, OH, November 10, 2016.
As a French person, I don't see the problem.
They took a very popular French military march and adapted it.
And I must say that the Ohio University marching band is really impressive!
To think they are students! How many hours of training to achieve such a precision?!?
And I don't talk about the band leader...
It is a French military band the regiment of sambre and meuse.
Le régiment de Sambre et Meuse.
The Sambre and the Meuse are two French River, it was the area where the soldiers of this regiment came from.
The march is of France
My dream is to bring the Garde Republicaine de Paris to Columbus and Play Sambre et Meuse in the Oval.
The name is "Le régiment de Sambre et Meuse" and not Sombre (mean dark)
That's right! I'm French. I confirm!
For those saying its too fast, they are playing it at 130-140 bpm which is more normal to march to. The original is around 100-110 bpm which would make script a slog.
Believe it or not, marches were written as concert pieces initially, not to be marched to
@@NickzAndMikz irrelevant since you clicked on a video of a marching band
@@andre7089 It's not irrelevant since it's a video about music too. Check your privilege
@@NickzAndMikz marching band music is meant to be marched to, so if the song is going to be rearranged for a marching band, the tempo will differ quite a bit since its its own interperatation, doesnt mean you have to like it. And i know my privaledge dont assume others positions and what theyre going through, its highkey disrespectful asf
A tiny bit too fast. My favourite military march.
c'est une marche pas un jogging !
Rythme trop rapide .
Beaucoup trop rapide
Trop rapide
Sambre et Meuse is a march it's not a sprint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is their marching band arrangement, they are not playing the original
@@andre7089 This right here
OH IO
Much too fast . It must be 120 bpm.
The British rifles regiment would laugh at 120 bpm being too fast - see 3:19 here: ua-cam.com/video/oaSWkXU83Ao/v-deo.html
@@TristanLockheart he's just saying that they are playing this marche too fast. This marche isn't meant to be fast
@@danemon8423 most likely because its french and might have been used in slow marches
Too Fast!!!!
Still dont understand its sounds perfect to me
@@mr.azeemen234 i'm french and it s Sambre et Meuse not sombre et Meuse in the title of this video and it's too fast!
Too fast.
Juan Antonio Ríos Olvera I mean, with all due respect, you’re just wrong.
@John Texas Neither for few french units... I've served 4 years as staff sergeant in 16°BCP... French Chasseurs are elite infantry walking faster than the regular troops.
@John Texas So I guess a guy from a half-civilized country just trashtalked the military history of the most victorious European country. Guess that happened. Don't forget the US is the byproduct of some random household dispute the Brits and French had. And by the way it's the Russians who saved France and continental Europe during WW2, nearly 90 % of German units were occupied with resistance movement and the Soviets. If you're talking about WW1, France and England won it alone, American troops barely saw combat. Get real dude. And don't even try to insult a French veteran based on your own historical ignorance.
@John Texas Ok boomer. I'll just go talk to some Irish or Brit, the former know history and the latter actually are a signficant part of human history and may talk shit with some legitimacy.
@John Texas My great grandfather, who wasn't even French but a Belgian, fought in the Resistance and was sent to a concentration camp as a result. Fucking dickhead.
You damn Americans ! You stole one of our best patriotic French Military March Song
"Le Régiment de Sambre et Meuse"
The Ohio one sucks
The French version will always be the best. Vive la France ! 🟦⬜🟥💪🇨🇵👊🗼🐓⚜️🥖🥐
O-H
Ce n'est pas un vole, je vois plus cela comme une marque honneur, le Chilie et le Canada l'utilise aussi.
Au contraire, personnellement j'apprécie que d'autres pays le jouent, c'est une marque de la puissance culturelle française.
I'm french and your hatred comment is a total disgrace. It's a shame.
After some few searches, I have very good reasons to think your profile is a fake and you are not french at all, and more likely based in south America. Am i right M. Gamo ?
Du calme Christophe
