![Skein Tones from Lion Brand | Can I really find my *PERFECT* match?! [YARN UNBOXING]](http://i.ytimg.com/vi/sz3JadcP4rU/mqdefault.jpg)
I saw these on the Lion Brand channel a few days ago and I lost my mind!!! I don't usually tell people this, but I make little dolls and donate them to my local-ish volunteer fire department and the police department in the town near me (I live in very rural Oklahoma). They then give the dolls to kids that have been through a traumatic experience (like a house fire, domestic violence, etc). I've been doing it for a few years now and I never know whether I should be happy or sad that they always need more dolls. But before now I've had to just kind of mix and match yarns to get different skin tones... now I don't have to... AND I love Basic Stitch yarn because it is soooooo soft and perfect for a little human to cuddle with. I just can't thank Lion Brand Yarn enough for this yarn. Thank you too, Crystal, for bringing to more people's attention!

Crayola actually has markers and crayons in separate collections that are all skin tones. They've been out since last yr. I thought that was very cool.

My mom made personalized crochet dolls from the late 40’s until she passed in 2017. How she would have loved to have this color assortment to truly match the folks even closer to their dolls! Thank you for showcasing this line. Truly incredible game changer! Take care : )

I love the idea that Lion brand has showcased the beauty of all complexion colors, they are great for amigurumi and also just beautiful neutral colors. These are going to be great for fall projects. We all acknowledge people have different hair colors and eye colors, why not celebrate different skin colors.
I watched the lion brand video on these skein tones yarns this morning , they had an amigurumi doll maker advertising the yarn. She was very excited about it too.

I love all of the different shades in this yarn! It reminds me of how Crayola has skin color markers and crayons in many shades.

It's an interesting concept for sure, and like you said, extremely useful to make different skintones for amigurumi dolls.

When I saw the colors I thought of mosaic, blanket and how much fun it would be deciding which darker color with which lighter color for each pattern run. Love those colors. And yes you are a peach. :)

These yarns are not just skin tones but colors that go with skin tones - while your skin is lighter, the darker browns make it glow. It is a great line of colors! I love the idea of a gradient blanket with these colors.

Nifty. I can finally make rag dolls that match their recipients of all shades now! This makes me very happy. I donate dolls to my local CPS and women's shelters and I need more skin tone options to be properly inclusive. You are "peachy" . My Mom and I would be Ivory, my sister would be hazelnut and the little girl next door is a beautiful coco... I think I know my next project.
I do dolls and I make them all colors. It’s nice to see a variety of skin tones to choose from. They can also double for hair colors. Love this idea Lion Brand had to do a line of these colors. Wonderful review.

I've been wondering about this yarn, I'm glad your giving your opinion on these. I do like Lion Brand. It would make a great blanket. The only thing about the basic stitch yarn I don't think you can put it in the dryer. I like wash and dry, especially the ones I make for people. Makes it easier for them. Thank you very much.

That's how the "ei" is usually pronounced, but I've always heard "skeen" and I live in WNY too!

Yes Crystal, they all would work great together in one project. I thought that right away. Use them all in an afghan or throw. The pallet is already picked out for you.I always had a hard time choosing all the right colors to go together for my blankets and here it's made things simple.💗
