Absolutely stunning yarns!! And the wooden pulls for the center yarns are adorable! Look at how you've made our dear Crystal so happy! I'm sitting at my computer gasping in delight. It was wonderful that you included that shawl piece all knitted up.
Also, Pleta (with "e" pronounced as in Feta cheese) means knitting. And in Bulgaria we say knitting for both knitting and crocheting, we just specify is it with hook or knitting needles 😄

My brother in law is from Bulgaria so I thought it would be fun to buy some yarn from there to make him a gift. I so love to see the fun different kinds of yarn!

Hi, Crystal. I'm not sure but I think what you have around your neck is called a "Sock Blank." They are machine-knitted strips that are dyed to produce long gradual color changes. They are made to unravel and create a project, and that is why it does not look finished on the end.
Yep, I’ve heard it called a ‘sock blank’. It’s a great way to get a dip dyed gradient.

I found out about them when I watched a video on how to make your own ombré cakes & learned you can do it with these sock blanks. And even make matching socks by knitting two stranded sock blanks & then dyeing them.
We weren’t saying she couldn’t, we were just adding to how it can be /has been used.

Love watching you so excited tearing open the yarn packages and throwing the string in the air over your head. Such the biggest smiles and laughter. Think Mr. BOD loved the yarn as much as you. Making me hungry talking about the donuts, muffins, pudding and souffle. Especially loved the souffle black and the cotton cake purple + green.

Yes ther is actually. It happens upon your 1st visit to a well/newly stocked Hobby Lobby or Joann’s. Mine personally is the new HERSCHNERRS yarn catalog. That yellow/orange gradient yarn that you are wearing like a shawl is a sock blank. It's knitted up in that fashion in order to dye the yarn. It is NOT bound off. You can either cake it or you can knit or crochet with it in the blank form. Have fun with it! The yarn is beautiful!
That was one of the cotton cakes, think they did that to demonstrate how it works up. Think leaving it like a scarf would be nice.
If it were not bound off it would unravel.
This has to be some of the most beautiful yarn I have seen in awhile.

Wow! The yarn is gorgeous. The wrap they actually sent is called a "shawl blank" which is used to crochet or knit up in your own pattern. Much like "sock blanks." It is beautiful and I am truly in love with the cotton star an cotton cakes. Crystal and Mr. Bod, you guys are great together!

Wow- hubby knew that yarn was 3 weight and throwing out the “ ombré” … I’m impressed! She is lucky to have a hubby that shares in her passion and doesn’t stifle her. My husband is the same way with my passion for yarn. He never complains that I’m spending too much on yarn. He has even accompanied me to a couple yarn cons before the pandemic. I’m so lucky!
