Sister Friend, this gadget is a game changer! No more inside pull, outside pull, winding the yarn before you can start to crochet, no more fear of breaking my expensive, gifted yarn bowl, no more lugging than bowl everywhere I go. I LOVE this product!!!!!
I have this and I LOVE IT!! I bought 2, in case I crochet 2 strands at once to keep them from tangling up. Crocheting is effortless with this. I highly recommend this particular product!
I picked this up at the Pittsburgh Knit & Crochet festival this past August for $ 25.00. Best.Yarn.Gadget. ever!!!! It does exactly as portrayed on this video. Makes knitting or crocheting a breeze...🧶🧶👍👍
I saw TL Yarn crafts video and saw it all over Instagram so I finally got one and I’m so glad I did. Works very well with my tension. A great purchase as a crocheter.
I believe Esty has extra spools for sale & I'm hoping they will make a taller one that can handle those big skeins !! I love mine & couldn't wait to get it after I first saw it !! No more yarn barf !! lol 💕💕
Thanks Alisha, that gadget is cool. Unless you are stuck on center pull. We used to be taught in homemaking class that when using a skein, it's spun to crochet from the center. The mechanics were explained in school, but that was nearly 60 years ago. Supposed to be more sturdy, last longer and it was due to the spin process. I wonder if that was all a gimmick back then or if it's something that's been disproven. The answer to the test question in class was all I cared about back then. But it's stuck with me. And I know those things aren't taught in school anymore. But I do wonder if there was ever a difference. Because now, people think I'm crazy when I mention this.
I've used yarn both ways. I prefer center pull If I'm not using this gadget. Without one, using the yarn from the outside is a disaster. Yarn is rolling & bouncing all over the floor. With the Wool Jeanie & i'm not getting those center pull knots
@@LittlejohnsYarn eliminates yarn barf from center pull, and keeps the yarn off the table or floor! A lot of yarn now, you can't find a clean center pull. I cake mine up, and put a small tube of carboard in the center and work very quickly changing colors on my spindles.
I LOVE how you really pulled on it - I did watch Toni's review as well and now that you have also certified it's worthiness - I may have to invest! I hope you didn't have to much warn mess to clean up afterwards.../😆
You go yarn scientist! I usually center pull but... I am pretty into it. Plus I have to use the outside when color controlling sometimes or for those fuzzy yarns.
Thank you for doing this review. It sure seems like this gadget will eliminate having yarn barf and the resulting knotted mess. It would save a lot of time and frustration that comes with some skeins of yarn.
Thanks for the great review, might have to have one. Love your videos! Don’t know if you remember me from New Orleans, but it was great to meet you. We met at the bar having dinner the first night.
I love it. I crochet with tread spooks and the always give me a head ache trying to pull yarn. I’ve even tried putting it on a wood pant hanger with latch and it just gets stuck. Oh I forgot I tried the stand on it’s own paper towel holder as well. I’m going to get one.
Alison Russell Crochets has a review on her channel. Her assembling the genie is hilarious!!! She also demonstrates using 2 cakes on it at the same time.
I absolutely love mine!! I just watched your latest on the other with the hook size thing.. I don’t think I will even try that one. Quite happy with one!! Thanks for sharing 🙌🏻🧶
My current solution is a small standalone clear hard plastic tote. (Hobby Lobby) To me, I think it's better than a yarn bowl. It's great when traveling or stopping in the middle of a project. However, this is a game changer. I love this. Free standing, it easily turns, and it looks like winding unused yarn would be simple. - Thank you for showing this. Its amazing. What is your solution, yarn bowl, lap? I started with lap.
Hi, I am not very convinced about this product, because I think when we knit, the yarn unrolls too fast. The yarn is vertically and I prefer horizontally. But maybe I will try it some days
I love this idea, now I am going to have to buy one. I watched TL Yarn Crafts review as well and was interested, Thanks for sharing. Do you have a video for the sweater you are wearing I absolutely love it!!
You didn't really test the 300gr yarn ball. What will happen when you reach the smooched part of the ball? I don't think it will turn at all and the yarn will get stuck. But it is a nice gadget anyway.
Um….stupid question . But I don’t sit at a table when crocheting. I often sitting on my bed…will it work if it sits on the bed? Or on the floor next to the bed? Don’t have room on nightstand . Thanks
That's genius! And so much cheaper than having to buy a yarn swift and baller, not to mention taking up vastly less space. I wouldn't want to have to haul it around various places with me, though. I mean, it wouldn't be so great to use while waiting to see a doctor, for example. Its would have to stay home.
I tried to Google it and can't find it. If you're not busy can you email me the link. littlejohnsyarn@gmail.com I don't know if UA-cam will let you post links.
@@LittlejohnsYarn 😊👍 I saw some one on UA-cam using it I asked where it was from or what it was called but she didn’t answer it took me 6 months to find it 😂 I was just about to send you the link but you found it not cheap I know but it’s a small business and their own invention 😊
I cake all my yarns, and this device doesn’t work well with cakes. The yarn unravels very easily and it keeps unraveling and unraveling until I stop it myself. Works just fine with skeins though.

Got one recently at a yard sale for a $1 and I’m so excited now!
I have this and I LOVE IT!! I bought 2, in case I crochet 2 strands at once to keep them from tangling up. Crocheting is effortless with this. I highly recommend this particular product!
I totally agree!
I love the idea of using this when working with multiple strands! Two would be worth the cost just to stop the tangles!
I am definitely going to order one of them maybe 2 lol. Thanks so much!
Im getting mine today yay
I will probably order 2 or 3 more😊
This is money well spent, I bought one a few months ago, best craft idea.
I want one! Now for them to make one big enough for the BIG balls of yarn.

I love your videos - you crack me up! I also want this thing!!
I bought one 4 months ago and love it. By the way you can fit 2 cakes of yarn on it. Very strong magnet. ❤️❤️
I saw TL Yarn crafts video and saw it all over Instagram so I finally got one and I’m so glad I did. Works very well with my tension. A great purchase as a crocheter.
I'm so glad I saw her video too. Best purchase
Love it use all the time

Love how thoroughly you tested this! I needed just a little more than what Toni showed.
Okay, I'm glad your review is positive cause I ordered one & it's on the way! I keep seeing these on Insta & I'm like okay I gotta try that.
Love mine!!!
I so can’t wait to be able to order one! Just gotta get over the baby shower/ holidays, etc. Hmm…maybe I’ll get one from Santa🤔🤣a girl can dream!

I love my wool jeanie.
Me too!
I'm so jealous of all ur wool in the back!
All the beautiful colours look so amazing I'd love to crochet with them😊
I love this, I have to have it, so tired of my yarn dancing across the floor. Thank you so much for this review.
But can it work while in bed or on the sofa? Hummm? I love the idea❤

Did you make your sweater? So pretty!
No I didn't. It is a cool thrift find.
Very nice gadget. Kind of costly.
I am totally gonna get this!!! How awesome!!!
And just like that.... it'll be at my house October 5th!
😂😂You're killing me.
Great review looks like like it will work well. Just wounder how long the magnet will last. Thanks for sharing with us 👍👍❤️💚💜💛
It's a pretty cool gadget. I googled (in general) how long do magnets last, 700 yrs to lose half it strength, lol. They should sponsor me, lol
Thanks!
OMG DeeDee Thank you❤️❤️❤️
Genuis!
Super
Thank you
Thanks for the great review, might have to have one. Love your videos! Don’t know if you remember me from New Orleans, but it was great to meet you. We met at the bar having dinner the first night.
You can also sit it on the round disc instead of using the magnetic and it will spin for larger yarn.
Good to know - thank you !! 💕💕

What are tread spooks?
I have, I love, but bulky yarns don’t fit until you use some of the skein, the big bulky skeins.

This looks Fabulous! But I have cats. 🐈 😻 🐈⬛️ 🐱 🐈
Is it shipped within the USA?
I absolutely love your top.. did u crochet it and have a tutorial for it?
💜🫶💜🫶💜
I wonder if it still works when the ball or skein gets down to half the amount of yarn or say 3/4 of the yarn is gone.
Have one and it is great. Works to the end.
Yes
Yeah, I would buy this. Too bad it's sold out on their website. I found one on Amazon but was $59.00 😮
I want to see a tutorial for the top your wearing please
WOW I've got to get this !

How sturdy is this I got kids/cat/kitten
My only question is, is the magnet secure? Like if you accidentally knock it over, will the magnet come off?
Thanks!
I miss chatting with you!

I wonder how well this would work with a circular knitting machine?
Does it work with cakes of yarn?
Absolutely!
You need to try the twizzer I love mine I got it from urban yarns , crochet anywhere 😊

Hi so this will not work for center pull yarn.
Gostaria de comprar uns dois, como adquirir? 😍
i wish i had the money to get it
Are you not selling tshirts anymore?
You are so cute.
Your yarn still gets stuck under the bottom or near the top. I have the plastic one and the wood one.
So you saying I don't have to wind my yarns into cakes anymore????
