What does everybody think about the switch? I like the style of gun trigger on the m18 0882 (the handheld one that looks most like this Dewalt). You can spot clean real easy with it, and it has a lock to keep it on if you want. The flexvolt Dewalt batteries look cool. And I think this vac is about a pound lighter than the 0882 m18. I'm not sure how noise compares. The 0882 m18 doesn't seem too bad even indoors.
After using this vacuum for sometime I will agree that I like the vacuum except for the ridiculous noise level. You have to have ear protection in the run this thing.
tip; you can take teh round accessory, pull hair off, it detachable. then put it right on many dewalt tools, the quick connect dust port
Tap the filter with a screwdriver handle, it works well for removing debris.

A bit late to the show. I run it with stockings over the filter and a 9A. Got one for the wife too. Works great.

I've just bought one primarily to use as a dust extractor attached to my Dewalt cordless orbital sander , have you tried it attached to a tool yet ?
I would have bought this vac by now if the replacement filters were available somewhere. Any idea where the filters can be purchased?
ACME Tool has a DeWALT two pack hepa set for $30. That appears to be the best deal.
So does it come with a 9amp battery? Or would we have to purchase a 9amp that would cost 3 times as much as the machine itself?

I'm a painter... Is this any good for dusting off baseboards and window sills, etc? Does drywall dust clog it up?
