hope you guys enjoyed this weeks episode :) let me know which book out of this video you'd want to read - i will raffle another winner next week 📚🍀 congrats to Evan van Essen who won the last giveaway and gets Yuval Noah Harari - Sapiens 🙏🏼🎈
I would love to read the courage to teach! I really enjoyed how passionate the gentleman was when describing it. I love watching these videos, I have ended up putting so many recommendations on my TBR from here!
that gentleman explained 'the courage to teach' in such a wholesome way! also, i would love to have atomic habits by james clear. love this series! 💞❤️
As a teacher, I try to constantly read some articles about teaching, articles that teach, motivate and update my love for teaching each and every day. The guy described the book in a way that I want to buy it right now. We need inspiration every day. Keeping ourselves and our students motivated is probably the most important part of our job! * _ *
The teacher at 4:20 is an inspiration himself. So full of passion and it’s apparent that he’s eager to keep learning as a teacher! What a wonderful human :)
Oh yes. The video I had been waiting. I need "the last book you read" every single week! Please and thank you. I really want to read Atomic Habits by James Clear 🚀
this was a great episode! i especially enjoyed the teacher's commentary about the courage to teach. i do find the topic fascinating as even outside of school, we are always learning and teaching in little ways in life and it does seem that often we are encouraged to hide/bury our subjectivity. thanks for uploading!
My favourite teacher when I was a child in Orkney was the history teacher. He kept discipline by ignoring any necessity for it (for then very radical) and he was so charismatic that we all behaved and actually learned things. I wish I could remember his name but this was in the 1950's.
I feel so calm after watching this, thank you! I really enjoyed hearing the teacher talk about what he took from The Courage to Teach. In September I'm going to start a teaching program in London, so that would be a very interesting read
Martin and Rothfuss in direct succession. Hope any of those book series get finished before I die. Also that was a really great synopsis/summery/review of A Song of Ice and Fire. Well said.
Thank you for another great video of 'the last books you read' series. I might have found my next TBR after watching this (The Courage to Teach by Parker Palmer sounds tempting). Once again nice work, keep 'em coming!
Name of the wind is soooo beautifully written. The prose is masterful. Unfortunately it’s a trilogy and the last part isn’t out yet so beware! Still very happy I’ve read it. On another note, I’m always surprised by how many people are reading self help books. I always get so bored because they ask the questions but also fill in the solutions which I personally feel is very boring.
Nices Video like always! I would definitely love reading the book “courage to teach” especially for me as a future teacher. I really liked the way this guy explained the plot of the book and felt with him when he explained the problem of the evolution of academia…
I would love to read Name of the Wind. Just sounds interesting. As a non-teacher but a lifelong learner, reading about education systems is fascinating. I’m currently reading Teaching to Transgress by bell hooks which is about the author’s journey to reignite the joy of learning in academia by critiquing academic methods, but also about recognising education as liberating (in context of racism in America). I would recommend to anyone who teaches or studies.
So cool hearing people talking about the books, really relaxing and addicting. I'd like to have Name of the Wind, just got me curious. Great videos man, keep it up!
I'm surely going to read "The Courage To Teach" since there should be many valuable lessons of (teacher's) life to be learnt from it. In this ocassion I want to read Storm of Swords, though. I've watched all episodes of "What's The Last Book You Read?". More videos like this, please 🙏.
These videos are such a great example of simple but effective. Hearing people talk about things they are passionate about is beautiful. I honestly want to go out in the streets and ask the same questions to people now. I've been wanting to read atomic habits by james clear for a while now, it would be awesome to win the prize! :)
Another great video😍😍😍 I will never be bored of people talking about the books they read and the experience they had during that read. Like most people, I was so intrigued by “the courage to teach” , so I really hope I can win it because I’m kind of in a book buying ban😂😂 I need to read what I have before buying more, but so thankful for this opportunity , and even if I don’t win, I’ll definitely buy it one day.
I really love these videos, it's really interesting to listen to random people talk about the books they read. I would like to win The courage to teach.
Hi nowifi, Chekhov is a writer who I’ve been waiting on to read for a while. I’m 17 years old right now and got introduced to russian literature by reading dostoevsky’s “Crime and Punishment” and “Notes from the Underground”. I also really like Turgenev because of his Western/French style of writing. Now I am curious about Checkhov's work and would therefore like to have his collection of short stories :)
Book recommendation: Dom Casmurro by Machado de Assis. Machado was a Brazilian writer, one of the greatest in Brazil. This book was written in 1899. Nice video, as always 😎
Inspirational books and another amazing video! I would like to win/read Atomic habits, because it seems such an interesting book, that will change your structures in life. I really like to learn how you get more focus and how you can do more what you love :)
I am happily surprised by the number of people who speak English as their non-native language in this video! Personally, book number 1 ( The Almanack of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness) or 4 (Atomic Habits) would be something close what I am usually interested in

I'd love to win The Courage to Teach. He was talking so passionately about it. And as a teacher I totally agree with his thesis.

As a teacher the book on teaching courageously caught my attention.
I’d love the Courage to Teach!
Interesting reflection on the role of pure rationality vs personality.
Conscious/Subconscious balance
