Subscribed! Keep up the good work!!
I've added Ikigai, seems interesting
Dude, the Romanian girl what's her name, please
Bro!! the Romanian, Now.......please
For those who are interested, the second book - "Pizmovnik" by author Mikhail Shishkin is actually translated to English and called "The Light and the Dark". Thank you for the video, very interesting!
thank you for sharing this!
Allow me to add: for those in Portugal, the Portuguese version is "Cartas de Amor e de Guerra". For some reason, they write the author's name as "Chichkin", instead of Shishkin.
thank you so much for this information. I loved the description she gave, it seems really interesting. I'm definitely going to read it
Not sure why, but it makes me so happy to hear what people are reading! And they're all so happy to share it, too!
Same here
The Romanian girl seems sooo sweet; I feel like squeezing her! She put a smile on my face. :D
I've added two of the mentioned books to my to-read list. Great series of videos!
You don’t know how happy I am to see another one of these. Please don’t stop making these videos ☺️
won't stop!
can we just appreciate how good their English is!
Ikigai is such a wonderful book! It's a short non-fiction but very engageable. Even a non-reader can get into its content and enjoy. If you wish to live your life with better perspective, then you should read Ikigai. I highly recommend :)
thank you for sharing! definitely on my TBR now :)
I love the first one who recommended her favorite book
Love these videos! Always nice to see real people and I also write down some of the recommendations. I am even reading one of the recommendations from an earlier video (Memory Police from Yoko Ogawa).
that's so cool!
I studied at UVA on my year abroad in 2017/18 and am honestly jealous I couldn’t feature in one of these videos as an English Lit student. Absolutely love the content!
thanks a lot! I am planning to do a "what are my subscribers reading video" - feel free to send me a video with your name, your country and your favorite/last book to contactnowifi@gmail.com :)
OMG, my comment is on the video 😭, thanks man. Nice video and awesome recommendations. I'm reading now Crime and Punishment, by Dostoiévski
Crime and Punishment is my fave book ever! How do you like it so far? :)
@@farazriyaz9078 I'm not having much time to read, but is a good book, with great characters, and the social or psychological aspects make it more interesting
Keep them coming! I love, love, love these videos! I have the hardest time picking up a book without someone saying it’s good beforehand? And nowadays the youtubers that talk about books seem to suggest the same bunch, so your videos are helping me add different books to my TBR list! Thanks! And “salut!” to my fellow Romanian at the beginning ☺️
🧡🧡
I came across this channel as I was planning my move to Amsterdam and got gripped by this channel, and now that I’m here my accommodation happens to be exactly on this very street! 😮
that's so cool!
Mate, be careful, and don't doxx yourself online with possible addresses. Just for your safety! Welcome to the Netherlands, and hope you have a good time!

♥♥
Love this videos! More than the book reccomendations, it brings me peace, i don’t know why hahaha thanks for them (:
thank you Maryna ♥
It's amazing how people like this first girl can be so sociable and enjoyable to talk with
Love this series 😊 I am interested in reading White Chrysanthemum. It reminds me of The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah that I really enjoyed reading a couple of years ago. It's about two sisters with completely different personalities living under Nazi occupation in France and then how a series of events change their lives and relationships with each other.
Definitely recommend The Nightingale. Thank you for all the book recommendations.😊🙏
thank you for sharing!!
Wat een leuk idee om mensen op straat te vragen wat ze lezen!:)
Love these videos. You might get this request a lot but I think it’d be cool to ask people what the last film they saw was.
ty! planning on filming that one soon
Good idea!
i love this series so much
Best series! Please make more!
Hiiii, I just came back 2 years after I've seen this video to thank the first girl, because I would never had read Pizmovnik (The light and the dark) by Mikhail Shishkin if it wasn't for her, this book just blow my mind in a way I can not describe, I've never cried so much, its definitely a 10/10.
It got to a point that I couldn't stop thinking about it, it was the first book that I've read in another language and I'm so thankful, really❤
love this!! thank you for sharing
I love these videos 😍
Love these series so much! I'm currently reading The Ambassadors by Henry James
🧡🧡
Hou van de rustige vibe van de video en al de aanbevelingen omdat ik dit jaar elke maand minimaal 1 boek wil lezen! Keep up the good work! ✨
super vet, dat ga ik ook proberen! dank je wel :)
Ohh je moet dan echt de belevenissen van een muurbloem lezen !
I read the fourth book. The story is tragic, but beautifully written
I love these videos. Please do more of these.
will do :)
i love these videos 😍
🧡
I love seeing people talking about books
Yoo what a sick concept!
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Oh Murakami's Norwegian wood is a good one, although I would probably recommend "Kafka on the shore" over Norwegian Wood any day
Love this series
🧡🧡

hell yes!!
The frist girl was really enthusiastic and it was Charming 🥰
yes she was great!
More please!
on it!
For Whom The Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway. It's a harrowing tale of a group of anti-fascists fighting in the Spanish civil war, and so far it discusses how people's lives and relationships are shaped by war and the nature of death and existence as to be expected. Its very good so far though.
First girl 😍😍
First girl looks so cute 🔥
I LOVE MY EUROPE!!
The fourth book is White Chrysanthemum by Mary Lynn Bracht. It's also fiction, just inspired by history
and if you like this, you might also enjoy Min Jin Lee's Pachinko
the first girl is so cute 🥺
♥
I love the first girl
How on earth can you have Sun in My Pocket in that playlist of yours. It's like I've looked straight in the sun. I need to sit down.
hahahaha i get that
used to listen to this a lot when i was 15, so it’s just added for the nostalgia
I wish I was in one of these videos😩
maybe in one of the next :)
Im reading "de smaak van venijn " rn :)
nice!
Guys let's find the Romanian girl, and do a Twitter space with her, she must have a lot of things to tell us about her readings, and everybody here seems to like her
I once again ask: why does this man always go to Roeterseiland and ignore other University of Amsterdam campuses😩
haha are u the one that wants me to go to the UvA humanities campus?
i actually wanted to try out other ones, but right now everything was really really empty, so I thought if there will be enough people somewhere then probably @Roeters
@@nowifii Ok well if in a month the streets are lively again pls pls come to humanities :)
UVA Amsterdam? Ik had wel eens tentamens op Roeterseiland, in de jaren '90. Als je me toen gevraagd had wat ik toen las, wat dat Engelse literatuur voor mijn studie. But now, the last thing I read was Sapiens, A Graphic History. I don't read that much anymore.
UvA idd! Wat vond je van Sapiens?
Appreciate the first girl, most romanians wont tell you they re romanians, definetly not with a smile
Make this video 12,15 min longer plz
i will try, it's just a lot of work!
here are some of my other book vids
ua-cam.com/video/vaqjBFS37UU/v-deo.html
Guys, I have a crush on the Romanian girl, please help me find her on social media, please 🥺
whats the last book YOU read?
still reading "How To Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie, which sounds weird but is actually really good and insightful
@@nowifii wait are you an introvert
not really, but it's also quite intersting for extroverts i guess
