Re-reading All the lights we cannot see by Anthony Doerr, God I can't keep it down. Such a beautiful story.
Reading Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune rn !! I'd love to read Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari ! whether it be the novel one or the graphics, learning about humankind is always so fun
Would love to read one hundred years of solitude by Gabriel Garcia Márquez. It sound absolutely riveting!
I'm currently reading The Karamazov Brothers by Fyodor Dostoevsky. Btw I've read major works of Kafka (including the one that lady read in the video)
I love these series!! Great work btw i really appreciate every book and song recommendation!! Currently Im reading ''It's kind of a funny story'' by Ned Vizzini. it deals with depression and mental health, it is about a teenager that checks himself in a mental hospital, the writer has done an exceptional job describing those things so i would totally recommend it! i would also love to read Kafka's Letter to the father.
this sounds really interesting - thank you for sharing!
Wow! I'm watching you from Mozambique, it's a small country in Africa. And, my first language is Portuguese. I'm currently reading " A Metamorfose " by Franz Kafka.
Thank you for sharing this interesting series of literary social videos, i love it. The book I would like to read and which has been on my list for ages is 100 years of solitude.
🥰 i'll add you to the giveaway list :)
So many good suggestions again! 🙌🏻 I’m currently reading “Under the Whispering Door” and “Circe”. And I would love to read “100 Years of Solitude” 👌🏻 Thanks again for the great video ❣️
aha, i have all 3 on my shelf. but haven’t gotten around to them yet!
@@cannedasparagus Good taste in books haha. Circe is kinda cool because I learned a lot of things about Greek mythology that I didn’t know yet. But it’s kinda hard to read and I had to focus while reading it. But still worth reading of you’re into mythology and stuff 🙌🏻
I’m currently reading Sapiens and The Starless Sea, they’re very different but I’m loving both! I would love to read 100 years of solitude, it’s very high up on my tbr list.
loved the starless sea. 100 years of solitude was an interesting read for me. I didnt like it at all at first, I put it down, read a different book and when I picked it back up again I loved it. I find it very interesting how your mindset is very relevant for how you experience a book.
I'd love to have 100 years of solitude
And it's also very nice to see when people are invested in explaining the book or their feelings about it
I´m currently reading 1Q84 from Murakami, just finished the first part, and so far has been quite a journey to be honest. It´s my first book from this author, and I never thought I would like it this much. Also it is best if you read first 1984 from Orwell, this way you are going to really appreciate and understand 1Q84. Sapiens has been in my tbr for so long, I would love to start reading it!
I love this man!! Inspiring to get people reading again. Also very interesting to see what other people are reading. My reading list is stacked since you started this series. Hope somebody wins the giveaway who wants too start reading again.
Hey Nowifi!
It's almost irritating how entertaining your video's are man, haha ;) I'm always busy with school, but at the moment you upload a new video I'll watch it immediatly, even if i have to hand in the assignment by the time i have watched all of your video's again. So by this, please stop making video's, or I'll fail all of my classes. Haha ofcourse I'm joking and I'm lucky to have discovered your account so soon, because we all know it's gonna grow much in the next years.
I recently watched a netflix-documentary about Joan Didion and i really liked it, so the moment I saw the man talking about ''Slouching towards Bethlehem'' I honestly got jealous. I would love to read it!
100 years of solitude is magical realism! A very "Latino-American genre". I recommend Love in the times of cholera, a wonderful book about Colombia, marriage, and love. The bestr Márquez in my opinion.
Great books in this one: Kafka, Marquez and Harari are some of my favourite writers
Hey! Always looking forward to your new videos!
Sapiens has been on my reading list since forever, so maybe I will finally get to read it
Love for the series and people as always!
loving these videos so much!! Also, I have so much appreciation for your courage and interest to approach strangers on the street and ask such considerate questions. Keep doing what you do!! And currently I'm reading "The Gift" by Edith Eger. I think out of the ones that were recommended in this video, I'd like to read the one by Joan Didion as I've been quite curious to dive into her writing :)
Never stop these videos omg I could watch them forever
🧡🧡
These videos are a pleasure to watch. I would love the Kafka letter to his father, I love Kafka but have not had the chance yet to read that. I am rereading One Hundred Years of Solitude right now so it was cool to see it in the video.
Would love to get my hands on the Comic book version of Sapiens, would be amazing. Liked and subscribed :)
added you to the give away list! thank you 🧡
Amazing content as always! I love watching these videos. I just finished conversations with friends and I’ve been meaning to read joan didion’s work for awhile now so getting to read slouching towards Bethlehem would be great!
This episode has the best set of books!!
This series is amazing! Thank you so much for this
If I had to choose a book to read, I'd go with Sapiens
Do this book content every week. I LOVE this series
I really enjoy these videos, love to get some new recommendations and perspectives on books. I would love to receive ''Óne hundred years of solitude'', as I am intrigued by it and I love magical realism. Thank you for the videos, and keep up the great work :)
I just moved to Amsterdam and got into reading again so i loved this video. 100 years of solitude has been on my list for the longest time so I would like to read that one!
more of these series, pleaaaase!
Thank you for all the effort you put into this kind of videos, they're so inspiring and it always helps to get out of my reading slump! The last book I read was On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong, it was a devastating piece and it broke me in the best way possible ahah! I've been also stuck reading Eating Fire by Margaret Atwood, i love poetry but it's hard to be consistent with reading it, especially during exam season :/ I would really love to read One Hundred Years of Solitude, it was my mum's favourite book and she always went on and on about how talented Gabriel García Márquez was!
Really like these chill cool videos. The book I'd like to read is Sapiens
Currently reading letters from a stoic. An English classic book with old English which I am still processing right now 😆 love to read thinking fast and slow, since it's been long time I don't read book related to psychology. Looking forward to next video, keep it up the good work!
I'm currently reading The Ruins by Scott Smith (I love fiction and horror but I'm starting to explore other genres). I'm always looking forward to these videos. I make note of every book recommendation I feel I'd like, and Sapiens has been mentioned a couple of times so I'd be really interested to read it!
Again, thank you for the videos!
It's a nice series! I'm looking for the next videos!
thank you! just published a new one :)
I would love to read the thinking fast and slow by Daniel Kahnemann! Im getting really into non-fiction books lately and especially the self-help books. Love your music videos, but these book videos even more. I also study in Amsterdam and I always look out for you on the campus haha but have not yet seen you unfortunately. Thanks for giving me more inspiration for which books to read!
i just finished reading scythe, the first book in the arc of a scythe trilogy by neal shusterman. currently reading the second book called thunderhead and finishing kitchen by banana yoshimoto. i also started the memory police bc of one of your other vids :) thinking fast and slow has been on my tbr for some time now so id love to finally read it haha thanks for another great video!! looking forward to the next one!
Love your videos man. Great production! I just started in Wind up bird chronicles by Murakami. Like 600 pages... Its kinda weird but kinda fun. I'd love to read Thinking Fast and Slow! Seems really interesting! Anyways, keep it up my man!
There's something so lovely about this. I like getting a look into life in Amsterdam 💕
I am currently reading Tuesday's Gone by Nicci French. Second in a detective series by a husband and wife team.
I'd like to win Slouching Toward Bethlehem as I love how the man spoke about it! And I'm interested in Joan Didion.
Hey Nowifi! I would really love to read ''Slouching towards Bethlehem''
I just couldn't stop screaming when I saw human acts by han kang, I read it last year and it's one of my favorite Korean literature.
I finished “White Chrysanthemum” (Les Filles de La Mer) by Mary Lynn Bracht yesterday, which I read because someone suggested it on one of your previous videos! Highly recommend it to everyone! Specially now that talks of a new war are getting louder… If I could choose a book to read from this video, I’d say “Slouching Towards Bethlehem” by Joan Didion; I’ve been wanting to read something by her for a while now and I too would like to be better/make a greater effort to see what is happening around me and to describe it in words.
I just finished reading "Goodbye to Berlin", a book of pre second world war essays, and started "Circe"
I would lovee to read sapiens as i've also heard about it for sooo long now!
Keep up the great work, really interesting to see what others living in the Netherlands (like me) are reading! 🤗💛
happy to see my last recommandation made it into the video! :)
of course I will be sharing my current read again: rn I'm reading "an editors burial", it's a collection of stories which were originally published in The New Yorker and all inspired Wes Anderson to make his new movie French Dispatch, so I would recommend watching the movie as well :)
This series is so cool. I would love to read Sapiens.
I have just finished reading Ikigai because someone in an earlier video recommended it. This is a great way to get more varied book recommendations.
so cool - i will tell the guy if I see him around - how did you like it?
@@nowifii it was really quick and a good introduction to the subject. Not very detailed but interesting. I agree with the recommendation
I absolutely love these book related videos! I would love to get Sapiens by Harari.
🧡🧡
Sapiens, a brief history of humankind is on my to read list. So if i'd have to chose it choose sapiens. Awesome video again.
I was thinking about buying the second book; 'Thinking Fast And Slow'. Now that I see it here, i'd totally give it a chance. Plus I love the fact that everyone's actually reading something. Nowadays people seem to be losing interest in reading due to excessive usage of social media. Refreshing video for sure!
I recently entered a beautiful bookshop simply because I watched one of these videos in the morning reminding me how great books are.
I'm reading the one you put in the end card: Mensenwerk (Human Acts) by Han Kang. I'm really interested in the comic version of Sapiens. I fear the "adult" version might be a little too dense for me, but I'd love to try it as well.
Love this series ! Currently I'm reading The soul of a new machine by Tracy kidder , it's a great book about a team of engineers trying to build a machine with hard circumstances, I'm enjoying it so far even tho I'm just ~15% through, It would be a great read for anyone interested in tech/ business, reminds of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson, I'd Also love to get 100 years of solitude, heared about it alot !
Ohh I would love to read Letter to the Father! I’ll sign up for that one 😄
love this series
Currently im reading "Elizabeth is missing", which has been one hell of a ride so far! I'd love to read sapiens, it has been on my list since forever.
it's been a while since I was really into reading but i saw there was a lot of hype around The song of achilles so I thought why not give it a try and hope to find my love for reading again. It arrived in the mail yesterday evening and i finished it just a few hours ago, might have been the perfect choice to get me back into reading again it was soooo good 😋
So nice from you!! I think I'll go for Slouching towards Bethlehem!
🧡🧡 you're on the list :)
I'm currently reading the 100 years of solitude book as well, and man is that one of the weirdest books I've read. Definitely not for everyone and imo not a quick read either (for me at least) but worth the read.
I like the music in the background
Currently reading The memory police by Yoko Ogawa. I’m really enjoying it. I think I’m reading it in a good moment of my life where I needed a book like that, which I think makes the experience a hundred time better. I would like to get a hundred years of solitude as I really love surrealists books! Thank you :)
Sapiens please! This man inspired me to read it :)
Thankyou for doing this. I love books and feels good to hear other peoples opinion amd tastes in books!! I am about to start "The gene" by Siddhartha Mukherjee...My last read was " A woman is no Man" by Etaf Rum..
Would love to read Letter to the Father by Kafka!
“Slouching towards Bethlehem” sounds really interesting! Joan Didion is definitely on my tbr now!
one hundred years of solitude sounds fucking cool :)
great videos as always! thankyou 🙌i'm currently reading Libertie by Kaitlyn Greenidge [ fiction ] and it's had beautiful writing telling about black American - Haitian women during war + giving an interesting detail of specific herbs for medicines. i liked it so far eventhough the plot went a bit rushing in the middle of the story.
i would love to read 100 Years of Solitude bc i've been dying to know what's happened during a solitude that stay for such a long time.
Nice video ❣️

These videos are great! & somehow relaxing. I would like to read Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion, the way that man described it made me want to read it. "Sparkling"! :)
I just read sapiens and one hundred years of solitude last year, both were really good. I would love to read thinking fast and slow.
thank you so much this series. it brings a sense of belongingness when i see people across the world reading similar books as me. the book id love to read is 'Slouching Towards Bethelehem". I have been trying to get into her work but have been avoiding reading books and focusing more on interviews and essays since i want to read the physical copies of her long works. Thank you for organizing this giveaway!
glad you like it!
I juts finished The maid by Nita Prose and really enjoyed it
I just finished The Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead. I would be interested in reading Sapiens.
Good work bro for this video and the books recommended. You should read books by Robert K. Massie. He's a historian and his style of writing has a novelist touch. He makes history books interesting and enjoyable to read. A must read for sure. Thanks!
thank you
100 years of Solitude is absolutely a fantastic book! Highly recommend it. Also, A little Life - by Hanya Yanagihara… magnificent

Hi!! I am currently reading the Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir. It is a philosophical interpretation of the position of women through the history, as well as describing ways to 'overcome' this position and inequality. I would love to read 100 years of solitude, since I absolutely love the magical realism genre :)
Great books in this video! I'm currently reading Humankind by Rutger Bretman where he talks about how humans and how they are good/bad. Very interesting to read!
