@@larsvermeer I would say the book doesn’t have too much of a plot but it’s interesting seeing a college student in Tokyo navigate his lonely life. Also, just beautiful writing in general.
I'm currently reading "crying in h mart", it's a memoir by Michelle Zauner (singer of the band Japanese Breakfast) and she writes about the time her mom was diagnosed with cancer, their relationship throughout her life and her identity as a korean-american, definitely recommend reading it!

I'm currently reading 'The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation' Vol. 1 by MXTX. It's is a xianxia (Chinese high fantasy) novel filled with adventurers and there's romance between the 2 main male protagonists!

I just finished Mrs March by Virginia Feito recently. It was brilliant! I think it came out just last year. Really recommend if you enjoy unreliable narrators.

I love Murakami! A lot of his books are translated into lots of languages so that helps.
