It's finally here! As promised we will start with the Lich Mythic Path. We will complete all side quests and dialogues. When I pick up special new weapons and items I will stop to show you stats, so you can decide if it would help in your own playthroughs. My main romance will be Camellia but I will also have romantic dialogue with Sosiel & Daeran. Until I get undead party members, my party will consist of Regill, Sosiel, Lann, Nenio, and Camellia. Pathfinder: WOTR is an isometric single-player role-playing story game currently in development by Russian studio Owlcat Games and published by Deep Silver, based on Paizo Publishing's Pathfinder franchise. Announced through a Kickstarter campaign in February 2020, the game will be released for PC, Microsoft Windows, and macOS on September 4, 2021. A console version for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X Gameplay, PS5, PS5 Gameplay, Playstation 5, Playstation 5 Gameplay, will be released at a later date. The game is a sequel to Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

In WOTR the realm of Sarkoris was destroyed when Areelu Vorlesh opened a rift to the abyssal planes of existence, and hordes of demons invaded the world of Golarion. Led by the evil Demon Lords Deskari, Baphomet, and Nocticula, the abyssal forces crushed all who stood against them, turning Sarkoris into a demon‑infested land now known as the Worldwound. Join the Crusade against the demonic invasion and rise as a new hero wielding unimaginable powers in this classic CRPG. The fate of this world lies in your hands.
Pathfinder has dozens of classes and subclasses with thousands of abilities, feats, spells, talents, and buffs to choose from. The spell listing allows you to choose from Evocation (Damage Dealing), Enchantment (Crowd Control), Necromancy (Undead), Abjuration (Buffs), Illusion (Crowd Control), Divination (Buffs/Disruptor), and Conjuration (Summoning). This is combined with an insane amount of class/subclass options including Alchemist, Arcanist, Barbarian, Bard, Bloodrager, Cavalier, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Hunter, Inquisitor, Kineticist, Magus, Monk, Oracle, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Sorcerer, Warpriest, Witch, and Wizard! It is Owlcat's goal to give each of these classes at least 5 subclasses each!
Choose your Mythic Path and embody an Angel, Demon, merciless Lich, wily Trickster, superhero Azata, law incarnate Aeon, truly evil Swarm, merciful Gold Dragon, or forgo all of them to stand alone as a Legend. Each path will allow you to improve your hero in unique ways, adding a new layer to character development and making your hero and their allies a true match for their powerful enemies.
There are more than a dozen potential party members in the game including Camellia (Half-Elf/Spirit Hunter), Seelah (Human/Paladin), Lann (Mongrel/Zen Archer), Ember (Elf/Stigmatized Witch), Arueshalae (Succubus/Espionage Expert), Woljif (Tiefling/Eldritch Scoundrel), Daeran (Aasimar/Oracle), Sosiel (Human/Cleric), Regil (Gnome/Hellknight), Wenduag (Mongrel/Fighter), Nenio (Kitsune/Scroll Savant), Greybor (Dwarf/Slayer). All of these companions have their own backgrounds, alignments, and motivations. All of them are fully voice acted with unique character models. There are even more followers that are locked behind specific story/mythic quest options!

Iomedae don't even lift a finger for her champion at all. Meanwhile Desna personally bestow Arueshalae her protection. If you try to attack her in prison Desna will simply teleport her away.
Plus, Desna rather than smiting the crap out of our succubus friend, she invited her to dream. #WhatwouldDesnado?
Desna is the one true goddess! Even my atheist rogue had to give her props
Yes true goddess indeed. She helped a succubus to repent which ended up giving information to Desnan which means she believes in goodness and definitely believed that even creature of Abyss still have goodness in themselves. She gave Desnan in Kenabres warning unfortunately Iomedae's #1 Simp the Prelate Hulrun shoo them away. Meanwhile Iomedae even to an Angel Commander still asking Commander to abandon the Angelic power because it's power from Abyss despite the Commander's good deeds (She instantly don't believe in Commander's goodness because Commander is born from Abyss).
I always interpreted the fact that she gets a bunch of mythic powers during this fight as Iomedae intervening in her favor
It is so wicked that Galfrey, who has been insufferable through most of the game becomes so likable when she becomes an undead. Love the writing of this game and thanks to your playthroughs!

Its true. The goddess doesn't care. The only time she deigns to grace us with her presence is when she starts seeing the commander as a threat, and even so she comes in hopes of making us give up the power. I dunno man, seems like her principles are more important to her than the lives of those that die in her name...

@@sharangcool ill pass on that one as well. She almost started a war with the abyss, if Calistria wouldn't have intervened. Honestly in terms of good gods Shelyn, Torag and Erastil are the few i can actually respevt, the others kinda suck.
It is ironic, since she defends that the gods should not interfere in the mortal plane, but the demons do it all the time, they kidnap people to be sold as pleasure meat and food in their plane xddd
To be fair, the gods (all of them) are bound by those principles. That is the price of their power and divinity. They CANNOT go outside of those principles. When they do it usually requires incredible effort and they usually pay for it, even die for it. They are also bound by the principles of escalation. If Iomedae came down herself to wage war against the worldwound you'd start seeing divine or near divine demons like Lamashtu or Deksari's daddy, Pazuzu, start coming up out of the abyss to play as well. This is a huge problem, and not just for the people of Golarion. Golarion is a prison world for Rovagug, and he must not be freed cause he's a threat to all creation. If things on Golarion escalate enough it could end up breaking the planet and the planes around it enough to free him.
Lastly Iomedae, for all her power, is a pale imitation of Aroden. This does not excuse her from doing more, but I hope this does put it into slightly better context. I actually think that her showing up to demand your powers is a bit of bad writing on the part of Owlcat, at least as far as Iomedae as a character in the canon setting. As far as I remember, in the actual tabletop adventure path, even if you go full evil she just withdraws her support. Her paladins desert you, the crusaders fall away company by company but by then you usually have your own army so that it doesn't matter. I played a necromancer wizard in the tabletop version once and had an entire army unit of undead even before Drezen. Very high quality bloody skeletons. The Vrock in charge of the drezen cultist necromancers was very upset with being attacked by what he thought where his squad's own undead but was simultaneously impressed with their quality.

I'm not the only one who thinks Antipaladin should've been implemented for this game, right? Tyrant would've made so much more sense for her undead self.

I recommend a mod. Its called Expanded Content. It adds 2 classes, Dreadknight (Antipaladin) and Oathbreaker (Similar to Cavalier but with different abilities).

Also, talk about straight up lying to the commander "not badly enough to call a disaster"....really? U lost Drezen, made the same mistake as Staunton and took the Sword of Valor away, lost all the grounds reclaimed by the commander and most of the crusade forces, leaving the commander to almost rebuild everything from scratch

My absolute favorite moment of the Lich mp. I honestly saw it as more of a mercy than anything. She was given a task she was clearly unable to fulfill but was forced to keep trying long after she should've been allowed to die. Now she can finally see the end of the Worldwound but without the burden that should never have been hers to begin with.
Nocticula was 100% right about Iomedae. She's every bit as awful as the evil deities, just with more sanctimony.
i mean... not nessecerly. Ember also misses this about the gods, which she gets a rude awakening in the ascension end. like it or not; gods are beings of idea (like the plato's idea), they're perfect, awesome and above... un diluted truth compare to beings of material plane. but here is the issue. they live at their own ecosystem and their own society, that governs ALL of them.
stuff that bothers us may be inconciencial to them, but they're beholden to their own casuality. iomaede can be truely caring about the crusade and galfrey but here is issue. Galorian is a tiny planet in the infinite wastness of a single plane of existence. and rules of the the society iomaede lives (meaning; gods as collective) says; don't stir shit up unless it's not inside your own plane of existence (where their 'haven' is basically), because if you stir shit up, eventualy some other divine entity or entities will be pissed off, and it'll turn into a cosmic war.
It's not that Galfrey or the crusaders are meaningless to her, they're not worth starting risk a cosmic war and causing, trillions, kentrillions, duedecillions to suffer. most of the time best a god can do is giving you divine powers... such as... oh! her paladin abilities...
@@sethrougen8968 Iomedae literally lets Galfrey die, but Desna will teleport Arueshalae away if you attack her in the prison. Iomedae is literally as awful as the evil gods.
@@1meme985 indeed galfrey deserves better. its awesome to be that 'better' by romancing her then ascending with her at your side.
i did a 'vampire' playthrough, wihch is heavly moded lich basically. by messing with the flags i romanced her. and it was awesome to think i am slowly corrupting her into my service and love.
at least i dont plan to let other necromancers touch her.

@@SlanderedGaming It was so charming seeing the horse unridden. It was like he was a part of the team. The poor guy's been demoted. Not only that, but it was funny how you forgot about it. You know, you've made me want to get this game. However, one thing I hate about Kingmaker is when you are traveling in the world map you have to sleep every five inches. Do you have to do that in this?

Yeah the lack of care she treats her subjects with is ridiculous.
As a Lich (Human Sorcerer) my favorite spells were Disintegrate and Finger of Death. She went down pretty quickly :)
Finger of Death has absolutely become a STAPLE on my team. Love that spell.

@@sethrougen8968 I've heard about it a lot lately. I hate when companies virtue signal like that. It doesn't change the past, and it doesn't change what's happening now. It's like they are taking the "As long as we don't talk about it the neighbor isn't beating his wife." line of thinking. All this does is make it so we can't fight slavers.

discorce is always positive. even if it's the covnersation "should we kill/enslave/burn people" ect. Even on a silly converation like that, there may be something to discern, something to reveal, like it may lead to a question of WHY for example. If we did not asked WHYs we wouldn't where we are now, talking with people from other parts of the world via our magic devices while watching vidoes of imaginary worlds.

First, it's not Owlcat who started that, it was Paizo. Paizo came out recently and said that they weren't going to emphasize slavery as a part of their future adventure path writing because their current efforts - especially in Absalom "freeing" it's slaves only as a last resort to fight off an invader - are insensitive at best for a topic that needs better writing than they can currently employ. Wrath came out before any of this discussion even started regardless.
@@AncroKT Paizo is a worthless company just like Wizards of the Coast as they scrub everything that makes the modern liberals angry which only pisses off the actual fans. Honestly I hope both companies die so the rights can be sold off to someone who actually cares about the material and the lore.

Yes you just need to loot her body first. I didn't do that the first time so I actually had to backtrack to this point and do it again. *facepalm*

IS becoming a fully fledged LICH possible on Auto Crusader Mode? I really hate the Crusade system (I hate the Kingdom management in Kingmaker as well) and tend to set it to automode.
Yes it is. The parts that require Crusade mode will just have a set number of days you have to wait before the task is completed. Obviously you cannot ascend but you can still become a full lich.

So I am here as a Lich also, I had two questions on this -
Galfrey will not give me the Lexicon part 1 unless I kill her? or does she give it back later on?
and the other question is Bone Hills on the world map. I understand it's revealed during Iz, but is
Hulrun the only way to have that happen? If he is not there, then you can't complete the tile puzzles?
You have to kill Galfrey and then loot her body BEFORE you ressurect her.
You can enter Bone Hills regardless of whether or not Hulrun is alive. Might be a Perception check to show it on the map if he's dead.
Ok, I really didn't want to kill her, that seems pretty harsh seeing as other mythic
paths she will just hand it to you and say she doesn't need it anymore.
I'll look at bone hills again then, I am level 20 so I hope I didn't miss the perception

@@fzoulcmbyl2134 You only have to kill her for the Lexicon if your Mythic Path is evil. She will hand it over for Neutral & Good paths.
Which is more Evil? Devouring your former comrades, or corrupting them and using them for your own ends?
Corrupting and using them because deep down they know it's wrong and are horrified by what they have become.
Sosiel is there, or just the portrait is used for some other character?. If it is really him, is this something about romancing him even with lich??? I just get along with as much as possible wit Wenduag and Regill and they still go for my throat. Regill did not enjoy me taking the Nocticulas Profane Ascension, Wenduag was just not my first choice (Lann was) in Act 1 and there were no way to stop them getting hostile if I go for the related companion quests after that point. I was like, fuck this bullshit even a DC 42 persuasion dialog check do nothing with Regill during his last quest. Though he is Evil, I very enjoy Regill roleplay wise, he is a very well designed character and his dialogs are well written but no way to turn around the table with him. Now I watch Sosiel murdering the Queen, good job Owlcat... way to go.
Yeah for whatever reason Sosiel doesn't have a hostile reaction to you doing this in front of him. It absolutely makes no sense and weakens his character.

Are you asking if you need to be a specific class to get undead party members? If so the answer is no. It is strictly tied to your Mythic Path.
