Glad you came around to using the rewind. It's Baffling to me how so many content creators who are playing pikmin for the first time or in a long time since their last, who both suck at the game, but also have this weird pride about not rewinding. All the Dandori masters rewind and get back into the action so they can learn from their mistakes faster. What, you afraid the the comments are gonna say you have a dandori issue **AND** you rewind? There will still be a dandori issue regardless.
I can tell you personally that the reason I avoided using the rewind feature was because I wanted my actions to have consequences, if I left a pikmin behind I should be punished for losing that one Pikmin..... Unless it's in caves because SCREW that empress bublax (you know the one)
It's more fun for me and many others for the game to have consequences, to have real reasons not to make mistakes. Pikmin 1, 3, and even 2 are so much more fun for this, and 4 is more fun for me without rewinding too. If you're going to critisize people for having "weird pride" without understanding why it's fun for them, that's the same energy as other people critisizing you for using the valid options provided for a chiller experience. Just let us play hardcore while you play a chiller game.
Hey Choc, you thought about using Oachie as a second captain? I usually send him around the map where other starbits are to get more glow pikmins. Also the ugly green egg? You can break it before it hatches so that should make your life easier on future nights. Also, also, you need the fireproof suit to get into the kitchen dungeon. Love the series, cant wait to see how it ends!

the cave on the stove is a fire pikmin only cave, you can enter it with oachi if you have the scorch guard. after completing this cave you will get a pretty good item.

If I had any advice, it would be to spend some time getting spicy sprays. They're especially nice during the harder night expeditions. Serene Shores might be the easiest place to grind them
Absolutely. He's been picking things up very well, and even if his pikmin take a heavy hit when he's figuring out something new he gets through it and makes progress. Some might just be going "haha bad at pikmin" cus he's brought it up, but an immature mindset like that is the best of them.
This series is really nice. I would recommed doing olimar's side story next, the game treats it as a seperate thing but you can get a reward from it that's quite fun to mess around with. I did it last in my first playthrough and didn't get to mess with it.
Once in Pikmin 3 I tried once in Pikmin 3 I tried to clean the Red Pikmin heard because I had about 600 of them. So I just grabbed 200 Red Pikmin, led them into the water, and just left as they drowned. About seven survived Thomas so I just ended the day and they were eaten by Bulborbs. When I was back in the DRAKE, I decided to see what the crew members were talking about, and they were just pinning the blame on the captain for how many Pikmin died. I just imagined myself just looking on and then just looking away like that one monkey meme.
If you ever don't know where Pikmin are when it's near sunset, check your map! Pikmin are represented by colored dots, so you should always be able to find your entire squad if you just look there.
Honestly, the newest D&D book I have, "Strongholds and Followers", has rules for commanding armies and whatnot, and mass combat...and the comment about Pikmin D&D has me making plans in my head. *Curse you Choc, you've doomed me.*

Recommendation is to get more ultra spicy sprays! They help get rid of bosses super quickly or help ur pikmin do tasks faster in case you want to get treasures faster. Also I recommend to talk with olimar and finish what he asks if you, it’s extremely important as it unlocks something you’re gonna need! Also if you are lacking in pikmin types you can go through previous dungeons to gather up pikmin such as purples. It’s crucial if you do plan to 100% the game or at least get all treasures

Destroy the jelly and get the Ice Onion so you can propagate Ice Pikmin. But I'm sure you will find it eventually, so even if you don't see this comment, I bet you'll find the Ice Onion by Episode 5.

You've called the d4 a d3, and a d12 a d10. d10 are more shaped like a top to spin, putting 5 sides on the top, and 5 on the bottom *with 10 being marked with a 0*, same goes for a d100 though 100 is also 00 so the number prints could be evenly sized. d4 are the triangular pyramids and d20s...well I hope those would be obvious, though a d8 is just 2 pyramids stacked onto each other

If you're talking about the thing with the star, that's meant to tell you if there's any treasure nearby and how valuable it is. It's optional, but it's pretty neat to buy.
