I've been doing lunges to help grow my quads so my knee patella stops popping and I was surprised how much it's grown my glutes. The extra muscle in my glutes seems to help my back too since when sitting down somewhere hard it provides extra padding. Once I added two 15lb dumbbells to my lunges my patella started to realign and only pops after I get up from sitting too long.

Thanks for this video, I used to have good roundhouse kicks but they got weak somehow. It turns out activating the glutes adds so much more power. Can't wait for your other glute videos. God bless you guys.

This helped so much! I didn't realize my glutes were the problem. I had a tight hip flexor that was making it difficult and painful to walk and was making my knee buckle.

Woohoo! I passed the tests....i'm 58 and run/bike and do squats at home, every other day for squats so i think i'm good. At my age and being in menopause, i want to be strong to avoid breaks or fractures and because of the years of running (30) my joints are feelin the overuse, but ya can't tell a runner not to run. Ya have to take glucosamine/chondroitin, plenty of calcium and use weights at least 3-4 days a week and STAY STRONG.

Can you guys do a video on pelvis grinding during pelvic thrust and what it could mean. It's always on the right side. If I stand straight and hyperextend I feel a pain by the right si joint and glute. If I lay on my left side and internally rotate my hip I feel the pain in that right glute but close to the si joint. I've had it for about a little over a year. I deadlift, sprint, jogg with no discomfort.

Anything is possible - depends on what x-ray/cat/ and doc say...
I had Right hip replaced about 1 year ago - pain, limping, compromised mobility for about 4 years from age 50-54 - was an everyday runner until then. Tried everything - PT - exercises but the hip joint was so degraded/damaged there was no alternative - I was doing everything to avoid surgery but again the joint was gone - specifically the head of the femur was worn and abnormal on x-ray - it wasn't going to get better - I was not a fan of surgery believe me - but when I asked the dr. - Is this elective? do I need to do this? A smart man he is - he simply replied - it is elective until its not- it's up to you - if you can tolerate situation you do not have to have it... but eventually I think you'll need it that sealed the deal - I honestly felt I did everything I could have to avoid the surgery so I sent a couple of messages above and booked the surgery - just before covid - Hospital for Special Surgery, NY, NY - place is amazing - 5 star hands down best experience ever - was walking several hours after surgery - out the next day - back at work in a week. I'm still in disbelief at how successful this was. 1 year out - I'm in the best shape of my life. I watch Bob and Brad often - great and informative... thanks to both of you.

I need good glute exercises. I can't get out of a chair without arms, off a toilet without arms and am on a walker. I've been exercising 4 months and also have severe knee valgus. I need my glutes back so I can stand and walk without the dang walker.

I know how you feel. After being a very fit and active person, my hips began to tighten, and I was told I need, 2 hip replacments, which I do not want. Will try these workouts, as I'm exhausted, and depressed, as all workouts for me have failed.

@@Susan-md6nd I hear you and am so sorry! I know I have done 8 weeks of PT with a nut job that made me worse. I completed 14 weeks with another PT that got not much accomplished but a lot of inflammation in the knees with every workout for 2 days at a time. I am now trying some off youtube for hips and knee valgus but have another few weeks to go to build up to the proper reps because of all the inflammation they cause. I am not going to take a wheel chair grrr.

@@dawns.2492 I Pray you have success. I'm looking at stemcell, as here in Melbourne, Australia, we have one of the best clinics in the world. Like you, I have tried physio, chiro and hydrotherapy, had to stop the water workouts, due to the dangerous, bar with no grips, and only 1 bar, to get in and out. We did have a lg above ground pool, for 7yrs, I loved it, but could not get up the ladder. We pulled it down, as it was 7yrs old, and we need a new one. Praying I will get do swim again.
