To me, it was a completely different experience. I always preferred fast pads, so when glass pad started becoming a thing I was curious, but a lot of reviewers talking about the adjustment period coupled with the high price just to try it, turned me off from the idea. Eventually, my Venus Pro needed a replacement as it was heavily unevenly, worn. I bought the Superglide, and God was I surprised. It was immediate adjustment, like, "Ah, this is how I wished it felt all my life," and I needed no adjustment period whatsoever. My accuracy went up (like actually looking at my numbers in game), as a fellow Soldier 76 main, it made big difference in tracking for sure. On top of that, my arm doesn't stick at all, so I've never felt the need for a sleeve, I've been using the Superglide for a year now and love it. Also, vouch for the Obsidian dots from Xray pads. They definitely made a difference for me.
Dark Kazemi from glsswrks is available to pre order right now until the 16th. Ordered one myself because every single person I've talked to said the glsswrks Akari had the smoothest surface out of all glasspads to the point where many of them didnt even need a sleeve and apparently the Kazemi is suppose to be even smoother while being slightly slower.
Honestly the very slick Endgame Gear's MPC450 (specifically the black version) which is a cordura pad does the same thing but without the downsides. I went back and forth between this and my Razer Atlas, the MPC450 felt extremely similar in speed to the Razer Atlass, but the MPC450 has tactile feedback, stopping power (it is a very firm pad but you can still push down on it), no need to wear sleeves and doesn't cause scratchiness with big skates. The MPC450 is a unique cordura pad though, it is very quick and felt like a hard plastic pad with a rubber base so the speed will feel very similar to glass pads, other cordura pads such as the Pulsar Paraspeed and the ones from ASUS and CoolerMaster isn't as fast and felt more like traditional cloth pads.
Might give one a shot 🤔 I remember when my Steel series XL mouse pad had uneven friction in weird spots so I washed it real good. I let it hang over night but it didn't fully dry so I was using my desk space for a short period of time. It was VERY different. I could tap the mouse and it would glide across lol. Started off overshooting a lot but quickly dialed it in. So maybe going glass would be the move. The natural wear and tear of cloth also makes things slightly inconsistent at times.
yeah, glass gives a very consistent experience. It has a learning curve for sure and does require a lot of mouse control. But I have really enjoyed it a lot. I still love my cloth pads so i'll prob swap back and forth depending on my mood :)
I’ve been using the atlas for almost a year and it’s amazing, I can’t go back to cloth. I’ve heard good things about the Kazemi but I’m not fan of the graphics, wish it were a solid color.
Which is your favorite mouse between the pulsar X2H or Viper v3 pro. In sweden where i live i got the X2H for only 60 dollars but im not sure if i like the form and if the mouse is worth the prize when better exist for just alittle more. I feel like the mouseform doesn't quite give my pinky and ringfinger enouth room. I've had a logitech g pro wireless (the oldest of them) for a long time but my switches started to let go when i didnt relese the button so i had to get a new one. Can you feel the performence difference between the pulsar and the razer mouse and if so how? How is the size of the razer mouse? I would really like to hear your opinion. on the matter. Thanks in advance and great video quality over quantity i got to say this is one of the best videos, keep up the good work!
I am working on an x2h video right now!! Hopefully up in the next few days. Performance feels the same from a sensor perspective. It truely is mostly a shape difference more than anything. I’ll go over it in detail in the review. I play pretty similar on both
how do you go about solving the lack of grip at the hump of the mouse if you are a claw grip wearing the long sleeve. Should I put a grip sticker on the back?
I find that with lighter mice it’s not a big concern for me not having grip on the back, because it is predominantly just supporting my hand. When I lift the mouse I am gripping with my fingers. They make sleeves though that don’t cover your palm if that is something you need though
so essentially, these pads are primarily used in faster paced tracking games like ow2/apex legends and wouldn't be suited for games like cs2/valorant? Because I was considering purchasing a wallhack glass pad but kept getting turned off by the idea of the speed because I'm used to the speed of the artisan zero.
@niclaswrld it can be, the sleeve I use covers my palm which helps with my hand on the pad and I am not always wearing long sleeves when I sit down to game.
if i’m getting the g502 x, should i get a glass pad bc u said it seemed like scratchy with glides on ur logitech mouse and i think those r the same as the ones on the g502 x
The stock skates on most mice are fine, what happens with larger skates though is you are more likely to get a piece of dirt or hair or something under them which can create that scratchy feeling. you can always get different skates though if it becomes an issue for you. @DiamondLobbyReviews just made a video where he touched on glass pads as well so you could check his experience too!
have you tried the Fnatic Jet? This pad is extremely fast it feels so smooth like your on an air hockey table and you don't need a sleeve! I would like to see you try this pad next see how it compares to glass. I think this pad is even faster than glass in my opinion especially with glass skates.
I have not, I did just get the Neptune Pro this week though which is also very fast and very smooth. Still a different experience overall from glass but has some similarities.
isnt it a glass infused cloth pad? if it is its great but it wears off really quickly, i had one a while back and its a LOT slower in the midle of the pad
@@Ottoni174 nahh i don't think there is any glass on this pad. I had this pad for over 3 months now and it feels like the day i bought it! It can get dirty fast tho which is only downside but they give you a microfiber cloth in the box.
@@i8suryc you can use stock skates, they can work fine. They do wear down faster and if they are large skates get dust and debris under them a lot easier which is annoying.
@kingderpington6082 because headphones are perfectly normal things even when not gaming. Sleeves are a dealbreaker because it's extremely tryhard/cringe to think you're close to good enough at gaming to justify looking like that much of an insufferable nerd. Unless you regularly make money competing its overkill. And even then most pro gamers and even "aimers" don't use glass pads or sleeves. It's unnecessary and makes you look like a loser who spends far too much time gaming, because you'd have to be to wear one. It's like wearing driving gloves to take your 99 Camry to Walmart. If you wear a sleeve to game, legitimately go touch grass.
@mikerzisu9508 then what brings u here if you cant replace your artisan raiden??? its like youre browsing onlyfans and say "no way, i wouldnt replace my girlfriend for these"
This mousepad/mouse marketing has become pathetic! Lighter mice for 190$ and these expensive mousepads 80$ and shit! I use a zowie mouse and a gsr pad not even 100$ for both
? You are clearly new to the scene. There’s plenty of really good light mouse under 100. I mean ive seen plenty of ppl who have those really expensive mice still end up choosing the wired endgame mice over them. Which you can easily get for under 80$.
You can actually just buy mouse with Avago 3310 or 3360 or 3366 with Frame Smoothing, it's also negotiate a lot of micro stutters from tracking, BUT now you can actually adjust friction with different mouse pad. I kinda prefer low sens in games (64cm for 360) and when i use low friction surface it's just feels like a high sense but it's harder to aim because i used to have some friction. Right now i'm experimenting with Raw Accel to have some smoothing with low entry curve negative acceleration, but it's not as good as old Avago Frame Smoothing like in 3366.

You veteran can use them in any game and people do, but I think they certainly excel in tracking yeah. Preference is the biggest thing tbh
what i learned: i dont have enough money to change out my skates every 3 minutes.
You can get obsidian pro skates that are very durable and it comes with 40 dots for like 10 dollars or so, it will last for a long while.
