The way you found an easier way to drift a hole for the axe was brilliant just so clever. Making a hole in an axe is the toughest part of the build I believe.

Anyone else get excited if something goes wrong, that way you can see the actual process of dealing with a mistake professionally. Also you get to realize that even the pro's can have things go wrong.

I love seeing the designs of the axe in real life from this video. They look like a museum sculpture compared to all the other household axes.
With all this machinery and technology we struggle to make such an axe, but the old blacksmiths made these weapons daily and by the thousands, just shows how much skill u need to make these

Christina Gonzalve we blacksmiths are crazy as hell, we enjoy flying hot scale, and things that could seriously burn/hurt us lol.
Christina Gonzalve Don't let it fool you. It is metal. It has low relative heat capacity; you'd probably be burner more severely from a spoonfull of hot oil or grease than a red hot piece of metal falling on your skin. Those sparks don't hurt much. The sucker is if something hot gets stuck on you, or your hair gets burnt. But I think they know their safety procedures.

The moonlight greatsword from the soulsbourne games would be really cool. I know that if they treat the metal right they can get that blue hue so it'd look really cool.

Justin DErrico Im sure they would, but quite alot of these weapons are made for companies, eg: the dane axe was made for ubisoft, so they dont have it anymore.

Even at pregame look at the axe they did an awesome job with the axe and I’m a huge fan of God Of War so I absolutely love this and the blades of chaos they did before
I once forge welded a tomahawk style axe. These guys are true masters of blade smithing.

The Ornateness involved with making it would be near impossible to replicate, they would have to color the metal as well which would take up so much time beyond forging it. They would likely have to assemble it in pieces.

It's basically cost vs profit. It costs more to be on TV since you essentially have to buy time, or get picked up by a network. Whilst at the same time there's bigger risk that people simply won't watch it

Do one where Ilya forges an extremely complex and intricate longsword, which then gets ground and ground and ground down until all that is left is a very simple and tiny letter-opener, sorta like that cartoon where an entire tree gets turned into a single toothpick.
