Today our Blacksmiths take on Assassin's Creed to create two new, Greek weapons from Assassin's Creed: Odyssey - the legendary Broken Spear of Leonidas and the single-edged curved sword Kopis.

Beautiful work guys! I used to do this kinda stuff for a company called Museum Replicas. I came up with and designed the "Create your own sword" line for them years back. I've always wanted a job like this. You guys do awesome work and it seems like a lot of fun as well. Keep it up guys!
Mace of Molag Bal from Skyrim would be really nice its one of my favorite deadric artifacts.

I like seeing how the blades are forged and all, but just as much, I like seeing the details of how you guys put everything together, as well as the detail work like engravings, runes, etc!

tbh I wouldn't care about the mechanics of it. The hilt alone is absolutely gorgeous and would look amazing even without the added "function"

I actually came to comment this.
It’s always awesome to watch everyone work on these because you can tell they’re all master smiths and masters of their craft. Every time I watch other smithing videos or Forged in Fire everyone deals with their own challenges but these guys always make it look easy (maybe it’s the editing but still it’s amazing). You can really tell they know exactly what they’re doing.
I'm just discovering this channel and all I can say is that is absolutely awesome!!!! I never thought that you could do something like being a Blacksmith look so interesting. I'm already in love with the channel despite having only watched this video, but many, many more to come.
I would love to watch longer edits of your videos, where you get to see all of the crafting that went into to the weapon.
It'd take hours.

Kubikiribōchō (首斬り包丁, Viz: Executioner's Blade, Literally meaning: Decapitating Carving Knife): A giant sword with a butcher-knife-like appearance, the wielder can use the semi-circle on the blade to decapitate an opponent's head, hence the name. The sword has an ability to regenerate using the iron absorbed from the blood of those it cuts down. It is also called a "Seversword" (断刀, Dantō).

This greek kopis is very similar to Iberian falcata too. Almost the same blade, made entirely in iron and horse head handle.
Used by ancient Iberian people of Iberia, Spain was the terror of the early Roman legions during the conquest of Hispania, shattering large scutums and roman skulls quite easily.
Same than Kopis in macedonian army.

that's not a khopesh at all, that's a "falcata", a celtiberian one-edged sword, The Romans feared at first, then they adopted it. We don't know how they really named it, we just know their denomination. "Falcata" means "sickle-shaped". I think it's an accurate definition.
I know right people need to learn the khopesh Sword is more like a sickle sword from AC origins

Only saw the small thumbnail before watching and was hoping for the upgraded version with the intricate detail. but still a great video and two superb pieces. I'm loving the game too.

but why?
Now I'm imagining a 4 foot long steel shaft of blunt force trauma, with the ability to project a quick stream of ink 8 feet away to blind enemies, and stab fairly decently with a round tip. And as soon as you murder the guy, you can help out by drawing the position his body was found in before the police even show up. A true gentleman's utensil: a weapon with civil service uses.
Maybe it can suck up the guys blood when it skewers them, and then you can write their final wishes with their own-this is getting darker than I intended.

you should honestly do a masterclass. I'm in college right now majoring in psychology and minoring in architecture. I would LOVE to learn and master bladesmithing. It's so satisfying, beautiful, and if I had the chance to major in a topic like this I would in a heartbeat. Do you know any good sources to learn how to blade smith? do you have any recommendations for beginners?

Well soul edges original form can be made but soulcalibur has many forms and so far i only counted 1 practical version

They technically already have, now that Geralt is going to be a character in Soul Caliber.

Kopis or the Falcata - both variants of the sword were lethal in the hands of a trained warrior - esp Spartans as they were a city-nation that knew little else except war. Since a major weight of the sword was in the latter broad half of the blade,which was thickened like an axe, it acted like a sword-axe and when swung with force. could literally tear the armor or shield of the enemy. Mighty effective. Ideal for thrust & stab too. One of the ancient weapons that forged empires. Alexander too used a similar sword.
Plz do some more historically accurate builds. Like some Bronze Age khopesh or something using original techniques

Already watched that vid, and what they just built in this vid was a short spear. Also they did a number of builds from the same shows numerous of times.

A heron marked blade was meant to signify the skill of its wielder not so much any significance in the sword itself. Besides, Rand ended up using two different heron marked swords.
