GOD BLESS YOUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. I HAD THE CHANCE TO VISIT IRELAND 🇮🇪 ON ST PATRICK'S DAY I ENJOYED IRISH MUSIC AND GUINESS STOUT. LOVE 😍 FROM CYPRUS 🇨🇾 🇨🇾🇨🇾💕💕👍👍
I saw this when I was 14, my Uncle thought I'd enjoy it because I had already started Irish Dancing. To this day, it still gives me shivers when the flute starts 😍😁😁
Wow... I'm almost 17 now, and my mom and dad used to watch this when i was really young. Its quite nostalgic to listen to this again, and makes me realise how quickly my life has gone by already. Also, being Irish is so unique and thats something amazing about the culture.
ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE by the whole dance company, their routine was truly flawless..."God Bless Ireland for Lord Of The Dance". 'Nia Tillbrook.
Oh my goodness, watching this on UA-cam sends shivers down the spine, Imagine the Atmosphere there. My Goosebumbs have Goosebumps. I will sum this in 1 word. Breathtaking!
First time to see this on UA-cam. Love this hymn but never understood why Flatley was synonymous with Lord of the Da ce. Now I know why! Thank you. Want thiplayed at my funeral. The Dance goes on!
Oh the beautiful memories this gives! My eldest, who is now 27 would watch this every day when he was 3! This went on for months 🥰 Thank you @MichaelFlatley for the energy, the memories and this onederful show! 🥰❤
Seen this once in my life and I nearly cried, I love this music so much and it was surely one thing I'll remember for a life time, was so amazing. I simly Adore this show. I find myself trying to clap in tact to it but its to hard, can't keep up witht the shoe tapping!
Man, when i was ust a young lad, my mom signed both my brother and I up for Irish dancing. being the only guys, we feckin HATED it. Now watching this, because randomly last week i had one of the song playing in my head - i realise how badass these guys dancing are. Holy shit.
Morgan Comer has overtaken this number. He will never surpass Michael Flatley, in my book. Michael will forever be the true Lord of the Dance. My favourite tune of all.
I get goosebumps when I hear the opening whistle. This is something that is very good to get goosebumps over, no matter which part you're listening to!
Потрясающе!!! Пересматриваю видео постоянно. Очень нравятся Ирландские танцы..., ну и конечно в исполнении Майкла Флетли. Желаю дальнейших творческих успехов и счастья всем. 🤗
Man I was so surmised when I found out the "Lord" in "The Lord of the Dance" Actually is Jesus. Its from an old english hymn who would have guessed : O
:) Check out Lord of the Dance sung by the Dubliners, it's phenomenal. They sing a lot of traditional Irish music. It's one of the reasons why I like the music from Lord of the Dance so much is because I heard theirs first.
I actually had heard this hymn several times before I even knew about this song and dance. And at 2:32 The hymn itself is played. “Dance, then, wherever you may be, I am the Lord of the dance, said he, And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be, And I'll lead you all in the dance, said he.”
"Lord Of The Dance" should become a film based on Michael Flatley's life from humble beginnings being born to Irish parents growing up in Chicago to the glittering and successful life long career and the smash hit show of the 1990s and the part he played in bringing 1997 show to life in the film titled "Lord Of The Dance : The Untold Story". I’ve commented before, but I just want to say that listening to this with headphones on is so much better than without. You can hear every instrument and the taps seem so much more powerful.
During the slow mo parts, you can see the flags featured in the first 3 segments of the show, which confirms that the cameras recorded the show at different times in different angles.
When I watch these people dance it dose send magic in my bodey.they are truley amazing .no wourds can describe the profesional coordination these dancers have.michael is truly a pro and its clear he loves his dancers.the love on the stage is magical.please foreverstaydancing michael and all the team .kathleen north cumbria
I'm inspired by Michael Flatley, but I'm a musician. Used to Irish Dance when I was younger. Parents stopped me though. Was too expensive. wouldn't mind taking it up again.
They finally came to my city a few years ago and I waited on the edge of my seat. The song came on and he went flying across the stage!!!...but it wasn't him! It was the new young guy they have now. And I was DEVASTATED! Granted the young guy did fine but I guess I just never factored in the Lord of the Dance would be anyone else.
saw the show last night in ft. myers. still a great bunch of dancers they have continuing the magic. was three rows back. my mother was giddy the rest of the night. great time.
Saw this show last night awsome! Altough the main guy was no Michael Flatley still amazing though! Every time I hear this I just can't stop smiling! :)
I was lucky enough to see Michael Flatley in this in Boston. The man was amazing, the show was one of the best i have ever seen. All these years later I still remember what a great night it was.
The song/hymn Lord of the Dance was written in 1963 by Sidney Carter in England. The tune he chose is an old Quaker tune written in Maine in 1848 by Joseph Brackett called Simple Gifts. Sidney Carter was actually looking at a statue of Shiva (a Hindu God of India) who has the attribute translated as "Lord of the Dance" when he conceived of the song. In the UK Lord of dance has a copyright even though the tune it uses Simple Gifts also has a copyright. The tune sped up when it came to Ireland, and Michael Flatley and Ronin Hardiman presumed it was a long-time tune and tradition of Ireland. .
now 30 people.....they were no doubt watching dancing cats and dogs, then this slipped into thier autoplay....these aren't dancing cats and dogs.....some people are just that narrow minded.......end of story

Sweet little spirit 💕 when she starts to play her flute ... You drift of to some other dimension ☺️
Absolutely stunning. What a terrific display of initial concept, art and animation skills as well as synchronisation of music. Totally amazed me.
Been taking tap lessons 10 years now, one day maybe I can be this good, I love to tap dance and I would love to be able to do something like this.
I love him....i love irish

The whole performance is real nice, but there's something about the intro music that makes you want to listen to it again and again. so smooth.
This tune never fails to make me emotional it is just superb and i cant praise it enough.

Yes but he calls himself Lord of dance only. I don't think this is blasphemy.
surmised? surmise is a verb, not a noun. don't you mean subsumed?
I actually had heard this hymn several times before I even knew about this song and dance. And at 2:32 The hymn itself is played.
“Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the dance, said he,
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all in the dance, said he.”
My childhood ❤️ my mom always loves to point out how incredible it is how high they jump but don't make distance with the jump. It's perfect ❤️
Ich sah diese Show 1998. Das war das tollste und schönste was ich bisher gesehen hatte. Und nun im Jahre 2022 bin ich wieder dabei.
