Absolutely fantastic panel fitment, I appuled your attention to detail , excellent workmanship. Greetings from the UK .
Flawless panel alignment. Interesting that so much of the metalwork is glued together 😮
Thank you so much 👍🏻
Well done mate
This is hands down my favorite UA-cam channel
Thank you so much!!
Super interesting. Thanks.
Nice job👍👍
Is it possible to replace the glass with a metal sheet? I dont want glass there just stainless steel painted black. Making it unbreakable.
Great work - how do you find repair times for Tesla's ? we are always arguing with insurance companies in Aus with hours on repairs. Were do you source repair times for replacement panels ?
Shawn the qtr wheel arch do you always have to sand down and apply filler considering its a new panel ? and do you do this because its affected by the rolling of the inner flange and dolly work ?
Correct sanded down and a little filler was applied to fix minor imperfections when rolling over the wheelhouse flange.
Great job dude! Only thing I would say is idk the last time you checked the procedure but it now calls to wipe the glue instead of filler where you left the slits on each side of the quarter glass..I am a tech at the Tesla manufacture collision center
Thank you! I thought I followed the procedure correctly filling the rear 1/4 glass section with structural adhesive and the front 1/4 glass section only filled on both flanges with the remaining welded. I printed the procedure when I completed the repair and am always learning as much as I can. Do you mind clarifying what I did wrong? Might be a great learning experience for me. That’s a really cool job how do you like working there?
Cheers 👍🏻
@@shawn.collisionrepair it’s a very different experience working there. We are in teams of 10 and hourly so when there’s nothing to do we just sit there and still get paid the same amount or more than a body man that flags 100 hours a week plus overtime lol . But at the quarter glass where you leave the open slits on each side of your welds it’s actually weird but you just wipe glue over the slits and sand it down instead of filler. Same for the door jamb
Should not be anything other than epoxy primer or the adhesive where glass would be.
What revit did you use and the number of rivet?
Would the mini wheel not cut through the car frame?
Can you name the brand of mini cut off wheel I’m interested buying
How much does quartel panel cost?
Facts!! I’d like to know also😮
Can you tell me where you are located? I have a model y and would love to know where to take it if ever needed.
I want information on the mini cutoff wheel please
Why did you make a whole in new panel instead?
Where are you located @shawn
Por que não fez todo na mig ou na solda ponto ?
does this compromise the frame since its suppose to be one piece?
Yeah ... kinda' time consuming process. Hopefully it'll be automated in the near future.
Keep up with being fruitful
How much time did you put in to this repair?
of the rear left side?
