  • Find out what Glen Campbell played when asked to perform a few "solos" on guitar during a live TV broadcast in 1981! Fan Hendrik Sibma helpfully identified these pieces: "At the beginning of this clip Glen is playing a bit of Chet Atkins' 'Hybrid Corn'. Chet recorded this song in 1951 as a B-side, with 'Crazy Rhythm' on the A-side. 'Hybrid Corn' is based on Johannes Brahms' 'Hungarian Dance No. 5'. Next...
    Glen fans will recognise the riff around 00:19 from 'Southern Nights'. Glen learned/(took) this riff from Jerry Reed, who used it on several songs. Most prominently on the great instrumental 'Stump Water' which appeared on the 1970 collaboration album 'Me and Jerry' with Chet Atkins."
