sri lanka is on the top 5 most generous countries in the world ,every year for a decade , as I remember the last survey done in 2019, and myanmar was the most generous country in 2019 , lanka was down from 1 st to 4th one of the core teachings of buddhism is giving what we have to others without expecting anything back from them , this called DHAANA in sinhalese , and its the 1 st of 10 most higher merits you can see thousands of islandwide free offerings called DAN SAL( shortned the sinhalese word dhaana shaala) in may for celebrate buddha s birth day and in june to celebrate the arrival of buddhism to sri lanka and the negombo is the cultural capital of christians of sri lanka as kandy is the cultural capital for buddhists, really good people , and soo religious towards christ 😁❤

Because, no matter where you from, if you ask for food from a Sri Lankan, they'll give you their only meal and they'll stay hungry.

That's a real world example of Asian elders correcting bad behavior of kids and show them the correct path. As a little kid she is naturally love to have everything in that shop. But when someone likes to help you, you should not take advantage of that. That little cute kid doesn't know that because for them this entire world is theirs. So that shop owner kindly said to that girl, "Hey! Don't order a lot of stuff. That's not nice." Then that girl learned a life lesson right there. Then she also shared what she got with her friends. Thanks Steve for your kindness.
