You may be pretty cool, but you will never be "pause snatching 200kg in a TMNT t-shirt" cool
Mark my words davepoon 2 ill fucking do it
im crying now
cooler will be "pause snatching 200kg in a my little pony t-shirt"
TMNT shirt + ATG's intro music= much more anabolic
Not 195 kg? Is that kilo or lb?
People in my gym need a belt to do preacher curls
Lmao I've seen that
lel
Paul Ryall thats fuck8ng hilarous
ya, and also need a belt do the pull up
It pisses me off when I see people do that.
Almost 5 years later, still one of the most impressive snatches ever recorded.
7 years and still .... :D

Ok boys, it's still impressive
The fact that this man can hold 200kgs above his knees then throw the weight above his head is insane 🔥🔥🔥
It makes no damn sense how that’s even possible
He was insanely strong! Just insanely! Consider that nowadays 102 kg category snatches like up to 180 kg.

😂😂😂 "what a weird position to stall- oh, nvm"
Gym dudes aren't strong they are good in high volume hypertrophy .
@@nw3877 Yep. I'd say that 95% of gym dudes (maybe more) can't even deadlift 200kg, or, at least, hold 200kg in that position.
@@njsfer lol, you said it like it's nothing. It is still a lot, for non professional it's close to impossible or atleast without long range (in time) back injury.
@@PoRoKLusT nah Id say 99% of the population can get to a deadlift of 200kg(natural). far from impossible. i think most people can even get to 300kg natural if they dedicate themselves for years.
That ninja turtles shirt though
Gggmanlives wait, you're into weightlifting?

Yes.
Awesome! I love it when the channels I'm subscribed to unexpectedly collide

That's how real men foam roll - with a steel knurled bar.
Insane strength. Goal achieved........wonder what the next goal will be? Clean and jerk Ireland?
+Matthew Jackson You forget that Clarence is on the bloody thing
I don't understand.clean and jerk Ireland?
+Antón White I was making a humorous reference to Klokov's next goal being to clean and jerk an unfeasably large object........say a land mass. As I live in the UK, Ireland sprang to mind.
Its less funny now I've explained it.........:-D
+Matthew Jackson I still laughed :D
In that case, sir, you are welcome :-D
YESSSSSS BLYYYYYYYYYYYYATTTT
HES A SCARY MAN
You know Klokov is special when a room full of elite lifters are stopping to watch him
They’re not elite lifters 🤦🏻♂️ he’s the elite here
@@Sidd_vicious No, the people at the training hall of the world championships are definitely not elite 🙄
And he makes them look like kids. Your question?
You're very inspiring to watch Dmitry. I tried this snatch today w 85lbs (39 kg).... that was my max :)
My max is empty bar
Good job!
Your only competition is you yesterday my friend good job
What about now?
Keep goin, bro. Next goal is 50kg
i love how everyone stops what they're doing to watch him lift
8 years later, still gives the same goosebumps
This never gets old... absolutely love the energy he brings.
bro the mobility impresses me as much as the strength
Unbelievable athleticism. Also strength. Also flexibility. Also confidence. Also commitment. All around fantastic. In 1973 his lift would have won the Senior National clean and jerk contest in the super heavyweight division. (I was there for that competition and as I recall, shot putter Al Feurbach, won with a 420 lb. C&J, twenty pounds less than what Klokov snatched!)
But Feurbach was WR holder in the Shot, not a full time weightlifter...
A boomer I appreciate :O
Wow
The crazy thing about weightlifting over the years is the clean and press record is not far off from Lasha’s 267kg clean and jerk. I think only 30kg. Klokov is amazing, Lasha is the strongest weightlifter of all time, but the guy with the world record clean and press has got to be right up there. Also Naim Suleymanoglu. 190kg clean and jerk at 60kg I think it is. Every few years someone comes along in weightlifting and just does the impossible
When other people growl in the gym, I think it's bollocks and unnecessary drama but when Klokov growls, i feel like its super necessary.
I nearly blacked out trying to deadlift this today - he throws it over his head like it's nothing 😭

His ability to keep a straight fucking back while stretching all the way down is preposterous. Try it yourself it's fucking hard.
straight legs. its hamstrings
Actually, if you keep your back straight, its a lot harder.
still hamstrings, though. well yeah oly lifters need to be really mobile.
The way his shoulders go back and all that stretching before the workout...you hear all the fitness gurus on youtube, telling us not to do those things, yet this guy does it and is a fucking animal💪😎
Because fitness gurus are not Olympic weightlifters or athletes there speaking in terms of the average person going to a commercial gym and king casual weightlifting

I love how the straps fly off his wrists when he drops
Yeah for the first time I kept wondering where they fell from?! Coz the video doesn't show him wearing it.

This is so impressive that a 230lbs weightlifter can bend his waist like that
440 lbs
@@denismorozov6027 He's talking about bodyweight, not the lift
Imagine walking into your gym and see a Russian in a tmnt shirt rolling on a bar mid air
Size, strength, FLEXIBILITY AND MOBILITY! Pure awesomeness
4 years later, still watch this from time to time. The literal video that got me into Weightlifting: A ripped russian dude in a TMNT shirt throwing 200kg into the air like it's bullshit ♥️
I'm more impressed by Klokov's 200kg pause snatch than Lasha's world record 223kg snatch.
Klokov's body weight is only 105kg and Lasha is 175kg.
Yup I’m with u on that. Pound for pound this is way more impressive than lasha.
I just came out from Qatar 2023 competition video where Garik Karapetyan shatched 180 kg for the 1st place in the 102 kg category. This just shows how insanely strong Klokov was.
so satisfying to watch. he really mastered his craft. peak sports performance by an amazing athlete
0:57 in the background at the stadium, the two guys on the right. Best.
And damn, this video really does compell me to work on my flexibility. I think flexibility invariably increases one's strength.
that's cause space=strength, think of it as an elastic band, the further you can pull the band, the stronger it whips back.
+Caius Filimon Actually if you stretch your current muscles they weaken so you must continue stretching everyday
Caius Filimon Im not 100% sure just google it.
+Caius Filimon LOLLLL. HOW'D YOU EVEN SEE THAT!
+namn which in turn can increase strength... Hahha sorry im that guy
0:25 Impressive amplitude stretch ! awesome mobility
To have so many people watching you is an awesome achievement
Сколько раз уже видел это видео и каждый раз восхищаюсь этим спортсменом- талант просто.
0:45 dmitry where are you?
AHAHAHAHAHAHA
I love how everyone was just smiling after he made that lift.Even Shi Zhiyong was walking away with huge grin on his face. What an incredible feat of strenght.I am so jelous on ppl who were there whitnesing it in person.
Where's Shi Zhiyong?
i wacht this video over and over. Can't stop the overwelming emotion that covers me up!@@
Don’t give up, greatness takes time.
This guy is one of the most impressive lifters I've ever seen. Phenomenal power n technique... As expected given his background. Respect
Blue bleachers?
This video is so iconic. I've watched it many times
Every time the bar reaches the hips he shouts work-amazing
This was freaking awesome. Always motivating
Honestly that flexibility might be the most impressive part of this.
Indeed
I think it's the 200 kg snatch
Most people can get that flexible but almost no one can snatch 200kg
as if he wasnt cool on his own, he has a TMNT shirt.
Still the most legendary weightlifting vid ever
I watched this 7 years ago. Watching it now makes it even more impressive somehow.
Настоящие эмоции!!!
@0:00 klokov dont use the bar as a foam roller the bar uses klokov as a foam roller
The bar bar uses him to straighten out where the bar is bent.
The sloMo helped me see how someone will snatch a ton more
I like when someone is super happy; it's nice to see that!
5:34 that moment makes that video best video of 2020 already
His technique looks even better now than when he was competing.
I feel like he could have the wr easy for his weight class if he competed now
+zero98ify He's almost 250lbs here. No where near 231 and is probably constantly on shit now since he's not tested. Still impressive as hell... but come on, he'd compete if he knew he could take the world record
+Conrad Sienkiewicz didn't he nearly have the world record a few years back? He was like 10 or so pounds off, got that lift, went up a little bit and failed it at the top. Still wondering why he left the sport tbh, he was very good most years and would've only gotten better as time passed. I guess crossfit pays better or something.
+zero98ify World record was at 200kg, he hit 196kg. Going from 196kg to 201kg is an enormous jump at that level. He snatched 206kg during competition prep, but replicating that in contest is something else. Also I think he had a lot of political issues in Russian, he said that in some interview. Similar with Koklyaev. He did 200/250 in contest rather easily but they never sent him off to compete either.
He's competing in Rio in August.
This is like my 5th time watching this now i just cant get enough of it
Damn he gives me shiver down my spine. Total admiration.
What a joy to watch! Absolute amazing strength and flexibility.
Uk u a beast when every stops doing wat theyre doing to watch u lift
Incredible to watch this today … his torso angle, his stance and a ninja turtle shirt. What a legend !!

When he did that 0kg pause snatch, my mind was blown away.
You know you're a beast when you got a bunch of also very strong people mirin
If you call them strong then don’t really know what strength is
Когда поднял 70кг так как будто пустые руки вообще без веса ; я понял какой гигантский там запас; Дмитрий 💪👏👏🥇🏆
Very good video. Fantastic to learn if you look at it carefully.
Superhuman strenght demonstration. Priceless.
For everything else is Eleiko. :D
I still cannot believe he is a retired athlete
Dmitry Klokov best!!!!
This guy trains hard and is dedicated and is extremely powerful
Great weightlifter mr. Klokoved🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
Who spotted Annie Thorisdottir and Frederik Aegidius in the background at the 200kg lift at the end!?!?
That guy is just insanely strong! at 3:10 doing 170 kg with pause. Just holding it and POW... 170 KG!!! That is insane!!! Most people cannot even lift that off the floor... and he uses the weight as a warmup toy... Incredible! Huge respect for this guy!
Amd he is not a heavywheitgh lifter but a middle weight
@@alexsveles343 It was 7 years ago. Do you know if he is still active in the weight lifting sport?
@@HardToCatchTwiceCrossfit now I believe. He doesnt compete anymore
@@olyseth Crossfit... Ohh snap. Just lost all the respect for the guy now... Sad... Brains injury perhaps?
He can also easily strict-press 170 kg. It's insane! I admire anyone who can strict-press even 70 kg.
Красота от Клокова, респект Дима!
I'm not sure how much that was but I'm impressed...you rock
i come back and watch this before the gym sometimes just to get tumped up
His scream / grunt sounds amazing . Sounding like a last boss or something .
Sounds like a cave man, in a cool way
The amount of strenght needed to achieve this exercise is absolutely insane, mind-blowing really
I am in love with this man.
0:41 Jeez how is a dude that big so flexible?

I am watching this in 2023(right now) & man! He is strong!
Slow mo at the end was perfect
5:27 Annie and Sara in the background to the left! :D #crossfit
crossfit is so bad. it includes olympic weightlifting, callisthenics and powerlifting but absolutely ruins all of them
high rep olympic weightlifting, bouncing deadlifts, kipping pull ups, bad form throughout
really bad form and lack of direct and applied training
5:42 YES BLYAT!!!! Well done Dima ;)
He may not have the world record but Klokov is the scariest lifter of all time...super human strength. God bless you, sir!
the first 1min 30 sec is the perfect warm-up 101!
