At 70 with nerve damage in my hands, the 9mm P365 was getting too hard to handle. I'd been wishing that platform was in 380 and it happened. I bought one as soon as I could and can shoot it better and longer than the 9mm version. The pistol with the 12-round mag fits my hand just right and still conceals easily. I'd much rather get several 380 self-defense rounds on target than hit once with a 9mm and then not really where I want with the next rounds. I can hit where I want each time with my EZ380 and should be up to that soon with this new 365, I still have larger 9mms for home use but I need something small to conceal that I can still manage. The original 365 was fine for me when I got it but not any longer. We old guys with messed-up hands still need to be able to protect ourselves. I salute Sig and Smith & Wesson for making easy to use 380s since there is some fine self-defense ammo in 380 these days like Underwood Extreme Defender. I do have an EZ9mm for times I can conceal a bit larger pistol. For those who like 9mm, 40cal, 10mm, 45 cal my hat's off to you but don't forget that not all of us can handle stronger rounds in small pistols and we shouldn't be forgotten as far as our 2A rights. Excellent presentation on this fine little pistol. There is a market for it and I'm one who was wishing for this pistol for a while now. I really think 13 rounds of good 380 self-defense rounds should cover me when I'm out. At home, I can reach for a rifle. I always have a spare 12-round mag as well which makes 25 rounds. Some of you may find when you get older and your hands get weaker that you like this type of pistol as well. I was young and strong at one time as well.
I'm a smaller female with arthritis & agree with everything you said! I also have the 9mm EZ Shield but have trouble concealing it so & I am really loving this little gun. Way to go Sig!!
Turning 70 this year and, yes, I can see the day coming when my P365XL might have to be replaced…so I got a P365 380 and it’s a remarkably nice shooter. Loaded with Hornady Critical Defense and a spare 12 rnd mag I feel like I’ll be ok.

For so long .380 pistols were so snappy “you might as well get a 9mm”. But this latest generation, including the M&P EZ, have fully tamed the recoil (apparently not the Ruger LCP Max .380 - all reports have that one still pretty snappy).
Well said, sir! At 76 with arthritic hands, I had to give up riding Harleys and am now ready for softer shooting pistols. Not getting rid of my P365XL, but will add the .380 to my arsenal.
@@CaveWyatt I agree the Lcp Max is a little snappier, but manageable to me anyway. But it's also only 10 oz and holds a 12+1 mag in a much smaller package. So it depends on what your sweet spot is, but the 365 in .380 is definitely the better range gun and softer shooter I have both and the 365 XL 9mm wouldn't sell neither one. I carry both 380's in rotation depending what iam wearing. Always take all 3 to the range because the XL is also a sweet shooter, also my Trip to the mall or movies etc choice👍🏽
About two years ago, I put out a video saying that Sig should put out a 380 ACP version of the P365. It took them long enough. Ruger's LCP MAX may have stollen the thunder. Or not. The 380 ACP cartridge works very well from a barrel of 3-4 inches in length. You gain a lot of ballistics over a 2.7" barrel. The reduced recoil is not an insignificant benefit.
That’s something someone would say if they’re a casual shooter. You can learn how to turn 9mm recoil snap into recoil drift that absorbs into your frame. Yeah don’t care if it’s a sub-compact it’s a matter of training…and let’s be honest…expendable cash to do so properly. So if you can do either I get it. But don’t go around talking like you know unless you’re a very frail person. And then that only applies to other frail people.
As soon as this was available I picked one up. For me it's much more manageable than my 9mm Beretta APX Carry for CCW, and that makes me feel more confident if I need to draw it. Though .380 ammo is a bit expensive I think the trade off in confidence is worth it.
Both 9mm and 380 versions of this gun can be had with ( or without ) thumb safety. A good deal as to choice. Here's another.....with whatever caliber you buy, you can buy a slide/barrel pair for the OTHER caliber....and convert your gun to that other caliber, your choice. Pretty nice.
It’s funny, when the Glock 42 came out lots of people complained that it wasn’t a 9mm. Then all the micro 9s popped off and lots of people are switching to 380. Love the “American 9mm”, 9mm short, 9 Kurt, etc.
I own a number of defensive/concealed carry guns including the Sig P365XL, Ruger LC9S Pro, and Bersa BP9CC in 9mm and the Glock 42, Bersa Thunder PPK clone, and I just acquired the Sig P365-380. The Sig P365-380 has now become my new EDC. The XL while the best and least snappy and most accurate 9mm, gouges me in the abdomen due the longer tang and sharp edges on the rear iron sight especially when sitting down. The other 380’s are limited to 6 and 7 rounds respectively. With the 10 and now 12 round mags for the 365-380, you have a sufficient number of rounds for any personal defense situation. It is also noticeably lighter and doesn’t gouge me even while sitting in the drivers seat of my car or at a restaurant table. My groups are considerably better (I use Speer Gold Dots) and the recoil is considerably less than the 9mm family of short barreled ultra compacts. Look at studies on defensive handgun shootings and the caliber that is most successful in stopping and attacker is the 380 by a significantly wide margin, roughly around 35%. There could be a number of explanations, such as a person is more likely to carry and shoot a 380 more accurately, especially women. Since the revision in Texas carry laws last year, virtually no establishments allow open carry and many others only concealed carry by LICENSED gun owners. Honestly, I can’t argue with the logic. With the 12 round mag, with large hands I have a full grip. I can only get a half pinky on the 10 round with the extended pinky and nothing but 2 fingers on the flat base plate. I bought some Pierce pinky replacements which are about 1/4 inch longer than the regular 10 round mags and it accommodates my pinky with a little room to spare so I highly recommend them.
this was my first striker gun and 380. coming from a usp45c which is too much power for me to shoot as fast as and accurately as id like but also a lot more difficult to conceal. trigger isnt as good and i greatly prefer paddle mag release, but i can get faster accurate shots and put a lot more rounds through it in a trip to the range. ive been using civil defense as a carry round and it runs really well. awesome little gun
Lots don't think 9mm short err I mean .380 isn't enough, but lots of deer errr um things have been put down for decades with it. For me light weight and easy accurate follow up shots is more important can't wait to try one out. 11 rounds of something you barely feel on you sounds nice.
Seventy today and got one around Christmas. Have not found time to fire it yet, but other videos I saw indicated the kick back is more manageable. Looking forward to firing it soon.
Do people think getting shot with a few 38s is like being shot with a potato gun? I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure it will kill you just as easily as a 9mm.

I put a Wilson Combat XL grip module on mine and use the 12 +1 mags that fit flush with the grip module. Also added a Holosun green dot and put a flat rigger on it. This is a dream gun to carry concealed in the appendix position. No printing and you literally forget you have it on.
Same size hole so the bad guy won’t mind. If statistical distances of engagement are to be believed then maybe the 9mm is even overkill. Who knows what works best except a dead person and such that we can’t ask them it’s a case of pays your money and take your choice. I have seen a guy shot five times by policeman’s 9mm and not go down yet seen a pig drop on the spot from a 22 short. Depends on the weather it seems.
Shot placement. We've all watched the alligator hunters on TV kill gators with a .22LR to the head at point blank range. One would think a large animal like a gator would need a bigger caliber to put it down but putting that tiny projectile into it's brain does the job instantly.
It's awesome because you can run it as fast as a .22lr!!!!!! Just got my wife one and now I need one for myself. My double taps are insane!!! And hey, .380 is more viable and lethal today than it was 20 years ago. Within 10 yards for any real world defensive use I think the ability to mag dump in a fist size group at 10 yards is fantastic. 9mm in small pistols with defensive hot ammo is not like shooting target ammo lol
I just bought the P365 .380 today and its performance level blew my mind! I put 100 demo rounds through it and was shocked at the range I managed to get out of this little .380! I dumped my last 10+1 in 1sec. intervals from 30ft. and put them all at target center, I was like woah nellie! Watching that BC Shoot-n-C light up at that distance with what seemed like very little effort on my part was more than enough to confirm that the P365 in .380 is fully capable as an EDC defense weapon! 🤯
In a full-size or compact carry gun, I choose .357 Sig, so I'm not particularly recoil sensitive. In a gun this size and weight, I'll take .380 Auto. NOBODY gets follow-up rounds on target faster with a 9mm than than with a .380 from the same frame. Same with .357 Magnum and .38 Special.
I have 3 handguns. A Glock 45, a Glock 43x, and a Sig p365 .380 rainbow 🌈. The nice thing about the compacts is that you can pocket carry. This .380 has plenty of stopping power. I would say the .380 is more accurate than the 9mm due to less recoil. That being said, I like both Glock and Sig. I'm not a fan boy of either company, I just like good products.
I’m interested (read: curious) in this pistol. I like my LCP Max but I have had some range time with the standard P365 and it was very accurate for me. My only issue with the LCP Max is that technically it’s not rated for +P ammo, and I prefer +P loads for PD just based on the bullet expansion factor. Again, this is just a personal preference, and I’m not recoil sensitive so I like to get the most punch for the buck…so to speak. Great video. Looking forward to seeing further reviews of this gun’s actual reliability.
If you just emptied a magazine full of .380 into an assailant, I doubt he will know the difference or care if you used +p or not as he's bleeding out. Shot placement is more important than caliber or the power of the cartridge. A .22LR can kill a man if you hit him in the right spot.
Another reason for .380 instead of 9mm: if you live in a jurisdiction where expanding bullets are prohibited, a .380 FMJ is plenty to shoot thru an attacker. With 9mm FMJ you get over penetration.
Yeah I like the sig p365 if the next one I buy doesn't pinch my trigger finger right up under where the trigger goes up in the frame so I'm buying a p365 380 thanks for your info
I prefer a safety, but I only use it for handling the gun while it's out of its holster. Once it's in a proper trigger guarded holster, I take the safety off. I've forgotten to take the safety off at the range sometimes, so I don't trust myself to remember to take it off if I draw the gun in an emergency.
Anyone that scoffs at .380, had better research the numbers. In like 10 tests, it outperformed the 9mm, 44 Mag, .357 and 38 Special. I even tried to do an expansion test using 5 water containers to see how my V•Crowns would expand. The little bastard went through all 5 and kept going. Now thats not to say that its some BEAST, or an unstoppable round, no no. But bygod those 5 containers wouldnt stop it so that i could see how my V•Crown would expand. This happened twice in a row so i gave up. My .45 Auto 200 gn. XTP loaded in a Sig nickle plated case, to 7.3 grains of Alliant Unique powder, went through 4 and stopped in the 5th with PERFECT EXQUISITE expansion. So why did the .380 not stop? Idk. But its NOT because its ineffective.
Just picked up, intended to get the nine but saw this just came in. Was looking for a smaller summer carry that was a good shooter. Fired the 9mil and loved it, going to the range later today to see what I can do with this.
Im 45yrs 210lbs man, I picked up a P365-380 and it became my EDC immediately. Im always in bibs so I pocket carry. Its absolutely ideal for my needs. Try Precision One. XTP +P. Try it. Good load.
380 x in the future? Aftermarket grips in the future? For my sis (65, weak hand strength) i think the 380ez would be perfect if it was a little heavier to mitigate revoil. S&w hit a home run on the ez to rack, ez to load and then put it in a 18oz frame. To me that doesn't make sense. Thank you.
I traded my 365 in 9mm for the XL and I love it. However, recently I bought the 365 in 380 and I love how smooth it shoots and I can get back on target. The 365 x look nice too. You might want to consider getting the standard 365 in 9mm and since you already have the xl, you can exchange the frames and make the x yourself or match your xl slide with the 365 frame. This way you will have 4 versions of the 365 at your disposal.
The 365XL is already super easy to conceal. I carry the FDE version every day. If I have on my basketball shorts, I just drop my Glock 42 in my pocket.
Guess I'll buy the p365 sig better grip last sig p 365 I owned would pinch my trigger finger I hope that fix that I only like one Glock and that's my Glock 17 it is a good pistol I've had it a long time.
I own the 42 and the Shield EZ, just shot the P365 .380. My take is the 42 and p365 grips are small but shootable. The EZ grip is bigger and easy to shoot, overall, I like the Sig mainly for the capacity.
Wish it was made in the X size grip 12rds and optional. +3 xt mag. 15 total that is a good grip and capacity . The New 365X Macro is all that in 9mm ,. The REAL problem is the very small one's are snappy harder to shoot good.
There are also videos showing 380 ammo will work in the macro 17 round 9mm mags using an X Macro grip module on the 380. Add some 4 round extenders and you can actually have 21 + 1 in a sub compact. Pretty amazing.
Depends on the ammo. In ballistic gel tests, Hornandy Critical Defense seems to do really well out of a 3" barrel (2.8" for the LCP Max), quite addequate penetration and expansion. But the real winner is Underwood's Xtreme Defender, monolithic bullet...don't know how that thing works w/o expanding, but that sucker leaves a very respectable wound channel behind it.
I have an original Ruger LCP should I trade it in they will only give me 100 for it I’m buying one of these to replace. The recoil on the tiny LCP is a bit much for me now or should I just keep the little one.
It is really annoying, that in almost every video about a 380 there is also some kind of justifying for the caliber. But I have the impression that .380 becomes more and more popular. Not just for old weak and disabled.
I took the same gun put a 507k on it ,. armory craft flat trigger and a Wilson combat chassis (gray) ..some old sig tall x-ray sights from my p227 tacops on it and ordered some 12 round mags ... I put it together for the wife she has weak hands and the auto ammune disease that effects muscles..after about 600 rounds of good and garbage ammo it hasn't malfunctioned at all and accurate as crap..... Now I wanna keep the little bastard... 🤣 Feels a lot better than carrying my p229 legion aiwb...lol...
Don't use hollow points with the 380. The round doesn't move fast enough to get reliable expansion. Better to use standard full metal jacket. More reliable and just as deadly.
It really bothers me when people say the 380 is a girl's gun or it's not enough I'm going to say these people are ignorant not stupid just ignorant. An ignorant person is someone who has not yet learned something a stupid person is someone who cannot learn something, so I think most who poo poo the 380 are just ignorant. They just don't know there have been many ballistic tests done with the 380 versus the 9 mm and they're actually very close as far as performance in ballistics gel and other tests, obviously the 9mm has a slightly more velocity. The 380 round is only 2 mm shorter than a 9 mm. The 380 in a small package like the LCP has a fair amount of recoil so this makes perfect sense for me or my wife. I bought my wife a 9 mm a couple years ago a Walther CCP and she does not like shooting it it's just too snappy. The 365 in .380 is a perfect compromise with modern ammunition 380 can definitely get it done.
IMO this gun makes no sense with the LCP MAX being available. The P365 is only famous because it fit 10 rounds of 9mm into a micro platform. IMO, I'd rather carry a true pocket gun with 10 rounds OR a compact/full size 9mm. The only advantage of a Micro 9mm is the caliber and if you think 3 rounds of 380 to the chest is any less effective than three rounds of 9mm, you shouldn't own firearms lol
Most 380 hollow points in short barrels lack the speed to mushroom out and basically just act like FMJs so I seenoneedfor the extra expense of defensive ammo vs fmj.
Checked this SIG P365 380. There is no way the metal sights will co-witness with a mini optical sight. For such expensive gun Sig is short changing its customers. Other than that it felt like a nice .380.
Now make it in 40 cal. I don't need a weak 9mm or 380 this day and age. I still carry my micro kahr cm40 6+1 that's still smaller than the p365 but be nice have 10+1 of 40s&w in the p365 frame
I agree. I love my P365 9mm but for a .380 the LCP Max is tough to beat. The optional 12 round magazines from Ruger give you a pocket sized .380 that holds 13 rounds. Double the capacity of the competitions pocket .380's.
I'm 34 and healthy, I don't need to carry a 45. This is my carry, no shame.
I'm 21 and very healthy, I also carry a 380 and I have a feeling get hit with one would make me not very healthy anymore

380 is a fun round to shoot. Back in the day some military’s carried 32 auto as a side arm. Not to mention the ppk.

Last week I shot 40 rounds out of it and I have to say I really liked it. I shot so well with it. Very accurate good feel in the had very little kick.
I been carrying the sig 380 in my pocket and i love it. It's light and 10 plus 1

And hey, .380 is more viable and lethal today than it was 20 years ago. Within 10 yards for any real world defensive use I think the ability to mag dump in a fist size group at 10 yards is fantastic. 9mm in small pistols with defensive hot ammo is not like shooting target ammo lol

I just bought the P365 .380 today and its performance level blew my mind! I put 100 demo rounds through it and was shocked at the range I managed to get out of this little .380! I dumped my last 10+1 in 1sec. intervals from 30ft. and put them all at target center, I was like woah nellie!
Watching that BC Shoot-n-C light up at that distance with what seemed like very little effort on my part was more than enough to confirm that the P365 in .380 is fully capable as an EDC defense weapon! 🤯
Glock comes out with a tiny .380, everyone has a fit and says how stupid it is. Sig comes out with a tiny.380, everyone loves it. Lol

In a full-size or compact carry gun, I choose .357 Sig, so I'm not particularly recoil sensitive. In a gun this size and weight, I'll take .380 Auto. NOBODY gets follow-up rounds on target faster with a 9mm than than with a .380 from the same frame. Same with .357 Magnum and .38 Special.
I have 3 handguns. A Glock 45, a Glock 43x, and a Sig p365 .380 rainbow 🌈. The nice thing about the compacts is that you can pocket carry. This .380 has plenty of stopping power. I would say the .380 is more accurate than the 9mm due to less recoil. That being said, I like both Glock and Sig. I'm not a fan boy of either company, I just like good products.

People need to remember its the ammo more than the size of the gun. With the right ammo, it will be more effective than larger calibers.
I’m interested (read: curious) in this pistol. I like my LCP Max but I have had some range time with the standard P365 and it was very accurate for me. My only issue with the LCP Max is that technically it’s not rated for +P ammo, and I prefer +P loads for PD just based on the bullet expansion factor. Again, this is just a personal preference, and I’m not recoil sensitive so I like to get the most punch for the buck…so to speak. Great video. Looking forward to seeing further reviews of this gun’s actual reliability.
If you just emptied a magazine full of .380 into an assailant, I doubt he will know the difference or care if you used +p or not as he's bleeding out. Shot placement is more important than caliber or the power of the cartridge. A .22LR can kill a man if you hit him in the right spot.

Another reason for .380 instead of 9mm: if you live in a jurisdiction where expanding bullets are prohibited, a .380 FMJ is plenty to shoot thru an attacker. With 9mm FMJ you get over penetration.

Yeah I like the sig p365 if the next one I buy doesn't pinch my trigger finger right up under where the trigger goes up in the frame so I'm buying a p365 380 thanks for your info

It is for me and I carried the 9mm for 2 1/2 years. Not as easy as the EZ380 but it's doable for me.
Walther Pk 380 is a breeze to rack… gave one to my petite 72 y/o mama and she’s happy to finally have an auto she can manipulate… best
Mine came with a safety, I didn’t know they had them, at least it is in a good place where you could use it or not, i like it so far
I prefer a safety, but I only use it for handling the gun while it's out of its holster. Once it's in a proper trigger guarded holster, I take the safety off. I've forgotten to take the safety off at the range sometimes, so I don't trust myself to remember to take it off if I draw the gun in an emergency.

Anyone that scoffs at .380, had better research the numbers. In like 10 tests, it outperformed the 9mm, 44 Mag, .357 and 38 Special. I even tried to do an expansion test using 5 water containers to see how my V•Crowns would expand. The little bastard went through all 5 and kept going. Now thats not to say that its some BEAST, or an unstoppable round, no no. But bygod those 5 containers wouldnt stop it so that i could see how my V•Crown would expand. This happened twice in a row so i gave up. My .45 Auto 200 gn. XTP loaded in a Sig nickle plated case, to 7.3 grains of Alliant Unique powder, went through 4 and stopped in the 5th with PERFECT EXQUISITE expansion. So why did the .380 not stop? Idk. But its NOT because its ineffective.
I ONLY GET SWEATY, NO ISSUES AFTER 200 ROUNDS. I ALSO USE THE 124GR +P JHP READY DEFENSE 9MM . THEIR HOT, BUT YOU CAN DEAL WITH IT.

Just picked up, intended to get the nine but saw this just came in. Was looking for a smaller summer carry that was a good shooter. Fired the 9mil and loved it, going to the range later today to see what I can do with this.

Im 45yrs 210lbs man, I picked up a P365-380 and it became my EDC immediately. Im always in bibs so I pocket carry. Its absolutely ideal for my needs. Try Precision One. XTP +P. Try it. Good load.
380 x in the future? Aftermarket grips in the future? For my sis (65, weak hand strength) i think the 380ez would be perfect if it was a little heavier to mitigate revoil. S&w hit a home run on the ez to rack, ez to load and then put it in a 18oz frame. To me that doesn't make sense. Thank you.
You can swap the grip frame for the xl ,and run tbe 12 round mags , i already did this ! Awesome shooter 😊

I traded my 365 in 9mm for the XL and I love it. However, recently I bought the 365 in 380 and I love how smooth it shoots and I can get back on target. The 365 x look nice too. You might want to consider getting the standard 365 in 9mm and since you already have the xl, you can exchange the frames and make the x yourself or match your xl slide with the 365 frame. This way you will have 4 versions of the 365 at your disposal.
The 365XL is already super easy to conceal.
I carry the FDE version every day.
If I have on my basketball shorts, I just drop my Glock 42 in my pocket.
Guess I'll buy the p365 sig better grip last sig p 365 I owned would pinch my trigger finger I hope that fix that I only like one Glock and that's my Glock 17 it is a good pistol I've had it a long time.
Of the 3 380's I am considering, 42, MP EZ and this Sig 380 if grip strength is not an issue. Which Pistol do you like. What are you reasons?
I own the 42 and the Shield EZ, just shot the P365 .380. My take is the 42 and p365 grips are small but shootable. The EZ grip is bigger and easy to shoot, overall, I like the Sig mainly for the capacity.
Wish it was made in the X size grip 12rds and optional. +3 xt mag. 15 total that is a good grip and capacity . The New 365X Macro is all that in 9mm ,. The REAL problem is the very small one's are snappy harder to shoot good.
You can buy that xsize grip, 12rd mags and put the baseplate on it. They make .380 12rd mags
There are also videos showing 380 ammo will work in the macro 17 round 9mm mags using an X Macro grip module on the 380. Add some 4 round extenders and you can actually have 21 + 1 in a sub compact. Pretty amazing.
Only point I would bring up is that hollow point expansion is pretty inconsistent in the 380.
Depends on the ammo. In ballistic gel tests, Hornandy Critical Defense seems to do really well out of a 3" barrel (2.8" for the LCP Max), quite addequate penetration and expansion. But the real winner is Underwood's Xtreme Defender, monolithic bullet...don't know how that thing works w/o expanding, but that sucker leaves a very respectable wound channel behind it.

I shoot 1 hand. 380 rules, for multiple shots on target. Still carry the 42.

I have an original Ruger LCP should I trade it in they will only give me 100 for it I’m buying one of these to replace. The recoil on the tiny LCP is a bit much for me now or should I just keep the little one.

It is really annoying, that in almost every video about a 380 there is also some kind of justifying for the caliber. But I have the impression that .380 becomes more and more popular. Not just for old weak and disabled.
I took the same gun put a 507k on it ,. armory craft flat trigger and a Wilson combat chassis (gray) ..some old sig tall x-ray sights from my p227 tacops on it and ordered some 12 round mags ... I put it together for the wife she has weak hands and the auto ammune disease that effects muscles..after about 600 rounds of good and garbage ammo it hasn't malfunctioned at all and accurate as crap..... Now I wanna keep the little bastard... 🤣 Feels a lot better than carrying my p229 legion aiwb...lol...

That's something to be concerned about. What Sig did was to adapt its 9mm P365 to .380. They did not design originally for .380.
Don't use hollow points with the 380. The round doesn't move fast enough to get reliable expansion. Better to use standard full metal jacket. More reliable and just as deadly.

It really bothers me when people say the 380 is a girl's gun or it's not enough I'm going to say these people are ignorant not stupid just ignorant.
An ignorant person is someone who has not yet learned something a stupid person is someone who cannot learn something, so I think most who poo poo the 380 are just ignorant.
They just don't know there have been many ballistic tests done with the 380 versus the 9 mm and they're actually very close as far as performance in ballistics gel and other tests, obviously the 9mm has a slightly more velocity. The 380 round is only 2 mm shorter than a 9 mm. The 380 in a small package like the LCP has a fair amount of recoil so this makes perfect sense for me or my wife. I bought my wife a 9 mm a couple years ago a Walther CCP and she does not like shooting it it's just too snappy. The 365 in .380 is a perfect compromise with modern ammunition 380 can definitely get it done.

My 15 round XL mags work in the .380 version.
The 17 round mags will work also.
IMO this gun makes no sense with the LCP MAX being available. The P365 is only famous because it fit 10 rounds of 9mm into a micro platform. IMO, I'd rather carry a true pocket gun with 10 rounds OR a compact/full size 9mm. The only advantage of a Micro 9mm is the caliber and if you think 3 rounds of 380 to the chest is any less effective than three rounds of 9mm, you shouldn't own firearms lol
One other consideration: capable senior citizens who have arthritis, or, have broken hands or wrists in the recent past. 🙂

If I'm going with 380 I want something light and extremely concealable rather carry the LCP Max and carry the 365 in 9mm.
My wife likes shooting it far better than the 9mm.
9mm is not only more powerful, but also A LOT cheaper! This is the dealbreaker for me, and probably a lot of others!

Most 380 hollow points in short barrels lack the speed to mushroom out and basically just act like FMJs so I seenoneedfor the extra expense of defensive ammo vs fmj.

Checked this SIG P365 380. There is no way the metal sights will co-witness with a mini optical sight. For such expensive gun Sig is short changing its customers. Other than that it felt like a nice .380.
I just don't see much value in co-witness sights.

I agree. I love my P365 9mm but for a .380 the LCP Max is tough to beat. The optional 12 round magazines from Ruger give you a pocket sized .380 that holds 13 rounds. Double the capacity of the competitions pocket .380's.
It is also much more difficult to shoot for some.
