Thank you Kev. My daddy never affirmed my worth to me regarding this. He just said "Never depend on a man..*
🥳
I had to take a screenshot of your notes🥳
Great idea✔️
Men are literally like children, this looks like classroom rules for Kindergartners. 😂😂😂
This happened to me recently where I was talking to a guy for a couple of months. We talked otp and stayed in constant communication. Now mind you this was a guy who pursued me for years! I finally gave him a chance. I started to like him but it was a always a flop when it was time for us to see each other then... He started to get distant. I didn't chase him nor blew him up. I BLOCKED HIM! He's been trying to win me back over every sense. I've detached and have been physically and emotionally unavailable. Immature men LOVE the chase and want what they can't have anymore... remember that ladies🥰
That was the right move. Now you're open to receive from someone who is bringing something real. All the best to you.
yeah I've met guys who acted all tough then acted like the woman expecting me to give chase..... to this day they still act like I did something wrong in not chasing. I'm a woman, we don't chase. They never bother to find out who you are then project.
GOOD FOR YOU.I LOVE SUCESS ST😂ORIES!
OTP? "One time password"? 😂

1. Learn how to say no
2. Be unavailable and have a life
3. Only reward respect
4. Only believe in consistency
5. Be willing to walk away
Minor disrespect can turn to major disrespect.. Never give up your standards or let anyone Cross your line....
Those are the rules my daddy Taught me
Periodt
Right! It escalates
Facts my dad as well
“Only believe in consistency” 💯💯!! Saved me a ton of wasted time in my single years!
Even though my family was dysfunctional, my father did make sure to teach me that I should never depend on a man. Men are people, too, and there is only so much that men can do. Women aren't helpless, so a little bit of independence and understanding of teamwork goes a long way.
If a man doesn't respect you from the beginning before you do anything, then he is likely not a kind person and possibly lacks empathy. Chances are high that he is so disagreeable (approaching psychopathy or sociopathy) that he might be the kind of guy you want to run far away from. Someone who starts by insulting you is very likely insecure and wants to hurt your self esteem and confidence to feel better about himself. There's no good way to deal with that except to walk away from that sort of abuser.
As soon as I started setting boundaries with not only the man I was seeing, but also family members, I began to sleep so much better. The book set by Nedra Tawwab is spot on.
Me too! My relatives are PISSED but I feel so much better!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 you sleep so well?
I definitely know how to say NO.. It's about me first...
OMG!!!! I HEARD THIS @ at the very exact time I needed! I made the decision to walk away from a relationship I was still emotionally invested, but knew it was not evolving ! I had to walk away and wait for what is meant for me. Thank you Mr. Hicks for your time and being a vessel 🙏🏼Blessings to you and your family!
I'm currently trying to walk away from a 12-year relationship (with my best friend of 45 years). 😢 You described it PERFECTLY in part 4 & 5...
I think I got more help out of this ONE video than I have in the last 4 months of therapy with my psychologist/psychiatrist. 🤯
Your words are so true!! As women we need to love and respect ourselves more so we're not entertaining these toxic men by allowing them to mistreat us.
Oh gosh this is incredibly embarrassing but I needed this wake up call... I'm walking away. Thanks for the video Kev. Time to take my power back.
Thank you Kev. This was the video my mind needed to hear. My mind was being invaded by a man that was sending mixed signals. I wanted to toss him out of it, but he’d breadcrumb me just enough to keep the illusion up. I’ve increased watching your videos and they’ve slowly weaned me of of him invading my head or me dropping everything to happily answer a call or text from him.
I was in that questioning phase of how to just show him that I’m no longer someone that will be at his beckon call. This video put the nail in that coffin 🖤💙🙌🏾🎉
I’m glad I could help😊
You just fed my soul. I agree with all of that. I watched twice.
Alll facts! I am known as the QUEEN of walking away and saying no! That's because I pay attention to availability, consistency, and definitely patterns and habits. Plus, I definitely don't mind call someone out on their BS. Choose wisely ladies!
Agreed. I've been alone almost 6 years after leaving an abusive marriage and delivering my kids as well. But honestly, my own word and belief in the vows of marriage kept me in the marriage so long. A guilt of sorts that I made my bed and I had to lie in it. I'm a person of my word. What I failed to acknowledge was in marriage... one person of integrity or of their word does NOT create a safe home. After I realized my children would be safer without their father, I called the police (after he crossed a physical abusive line with me for standing up for them). My son was 19 and chose not to cut his father out of his life. My daughter was 15 and wanted an Order of Protection herself. I have honored each of their wishes without violating mine or my daughter's Order of Protection.
It ain't easy. It's one of the most difficult things I've ever done. But it's worth it!
9:46 “A lot of ya’ll blockin ya’ll blessings holding onto a weak man’s ankles while the strong men are looking at you like 👀 *smdh* 😐 that could never be my wife.” Kev, I’m sharing your videos and they act like they hear it up until the moment that guy creeps back in
Right! And thank you!
Amen! Kev! You are right. I am and will take my power and my joy back. ❤
#5 Be willing to walk away...
And when you do, don't look back.
Women have been taught to not have self worth and to abandon themselves and men have been taught to be solely ego driven. These both are responses to Complex PTSD. CPTSD isn't mentioned on A LOT of dating platforms, even though that is what is largely attributing to dysfunctional relationships in adulthood. If you grew up in America, under socioeconomic stress, you undoubtedly have untreated CPTSD. This is what really needs to be addressed. Heal the core inner child wounds, be real with yourself and others, and realize we've all been lied to about attaining healthy relationships and behaving in healthy ways from both genders of any race.
🙌 yes! Healing that is key
OMG….. That is so TRUE 😢 I have been FEELING THOSE EXACT THOUGHTS. Now I’m going to TAKE MY POWER BACK. Thanks A Million 💥💥💥
Your power actually develops when you say no and let these kinds of men go.💯
Salaam, Beloveds.
"Never give someone a second chance to disrespect you. If you do give them that second chance they will heighten the disrespect because they know you will always forgive them and never leave."
This can apply to romantic or platonic relationships,
Family, Friend or
Co worker
No azz kissing here. There is so much power in being able to walk away.
Absolutely 💪🏾
I needed this!
Came at the right time when I was feeling guilty for doing what I want to do. 🤣🤣
This whole video screamed at me thanks for keeping it real I needed to hear this! Recently was in a situation where I did most of the things stated in this video. I’m working on self respect and making better decisions.
A lot of the people pleasing things are about believing that the guy is building appreciation. This is not going to happen. Man are about attraction. I’m not just talking physical. I’m taking emotional attraction. All of it. It’s a very primal thing for a man to want a woman on many levels. But it starts with attraction. And a guy who’s attracted to you will feel a need to make you happy. He won’t be thinking “I love all the things she does for me.” He’ll be driven forward with “ I hope I’m doing enough for her. I hope I’m making her happy.” Embrace that knowledge. Know that No tells you which guys are more serious.
Yes .
These tips and Setting boundaries/not saying yes has changed everything around! ❤Spot on!
Hi Kev thanks for putting a stopper to the endless “I am the victim” assholes. I am sick and tired of their sorry behinds. Unless you are being physically taken as hostage, there is no reason to stay where you are being ill treated.
Kev thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your message has been invaluable helping me re-establish healthy boundaries in my relationship. The last thing you said about willing to walk away truly resonated. Being emotionally manipulated, constantly criticized, given the silent treatment, my phone always being monitored… I’ve ALLOWED these behaviors to escalate by not putting boundaries. I am taking accountability for putting myself into a bad situation that isn’t getting better. Being so forgiving.
Thank you for being so mature and helping me be a stronger person for myself and my daughter. 💛
My pleasure 😇
Thank you not for just men , some called friends, and some family too. I will take this advice 😊Thank you
Any time!😁

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ADVISE ! The most dating coaches don‘t reveal „HOW“. They only talk about what a men do to us and what that means. GOD BLESS YOU & Your Family ❤ We should all appriciate our favorite dating coach Kev & support him & buy one of his courses.
This man will never know the positive impact he;s made in my life with his videos.

Get them together, Kev! You hit e.ve.ry. point so well. Great video. 👏🏼
I just recently found your channel and have enjoyed your content and find it very useful. I appreciate the way you provide examples on ways to apply your advice in real life rather than only telling us what guys like or what they don't like, it's only helpful to me when I'm shown strategies on how to actually apply it to my life and incorporate certain behaviors at the right time, ETC... Thank you for sharing your time with us. Good luck on your Financial Advisory journey. I'm positive you will continue to have success! :) 💖 Stefanie, from Washington

I wised up more and more after dealing with the immature games from men.
I can’t like this video enough👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾
Yes to all this!!
Thank you for your videos. I have been watching you for some time and was surprised about what I heard coming from the mouth of a young, african american, male, good-looking and youthful styled, well spoken and knowledgeable person. I think it surprised me and it is important for woment to see that not all good looking guys are charmers and that the truth does not have to come in a suit and tie and a doctor of some kind. I dont know if this was intentional but it really gives us hope that the sterotypes that we have about people is really all about our choices and our ability to communicate what we want. Thank you. 👍🏼
Wow, thank you so much for this wise words I learn so much 🙏 I have really experience all of that and I have learned my lesson.

I feel brutally attacked. But thank you very much for the wonderful video Kev.
P.s.
I KNEW you were my Spiritual Son!
I have a relative that is ignorant and incredibly abrasive with her words and has always been since childhood. Family has allowed them to get away with that mess for
YEARS and YEARS!
One day another relative said...
"She just keeps it real"
After being finally tired of her mouth, I remember saying your exact words....
"Yeah. She's "real" alright! Really f*cking rude and abusive!"
Good word
Yessss! Thank you
You bet!

Life saving as well as dignity saving or at least sparing advice every woman should hear.
Good stuff
I used to say.."it's just something about him" 🙄
Listen you do not play lol. You give real talk but tactfully so. I can appreciate that, especially these days.
Loves ❤❤❤this
so true
"Holdin onto a weak man's ankles while strong men are shakin' their heads...."
Fully participating, even if she's been physically abused, when she continues to stay and would rather risk her life by staying rather than leaving. It's time for problem ownership! Realize you have choices and you are making them whether you realize it or not. We may not want to hear it, but it takes too. Both people are ACTIVELY participating in holding the undesired reality in place. Until you face that and tell yourself that no one can let you down without your consent, you'll continue to replicate the mutation.
baaamm! spot on!
You can say that again son of God that's what my Brothers teach me and my sisters to tell those men's no no AMEN
💯 🙏😊
Thank you.
You're welcome!
