I love the responsive dynamic of the music in Jak 2. On foot unarmed, (bass creeps, cymbals.) Driving, (adds kicks and snares for race vibes.) Jet Board, (doubles the tempo on the drums Weapon-Ready, (Adds Guitar riff to beat, time to KICK ASS.) In Combat, (Horror-Movie style string and brass to tell the gamer, HEY, DEAL WITH THIS THING!)

I tried to play Jak II when I was a kid and couldn't get past this part. Then a couple months ago, I picked the game up again and beat it in about a week or so. I started new files over and over again just to see the opening cutscene too. Guess I didn't have the common knowledge to go to UA-cam.
Amazing game, loved the invasion of the metal heads part the most. Had a save dedicated to just that event. Still play this game sometimes on the PS2 emulator.

@@KL42596 Yeah, Josh Mancell composed the OST for Jak II/3 and Larry Hopkins did the cutscene audio. The guy from Devo was Mark Mothersbaugh who did TPL OST.
Dude, the parts where the Krimson Guard are just railing Jak with a sea of bullets from below full-force through the grate flooring are my favorite bits of the missions in Praxis' strongholds
@@jamesalexander5559 It's probably for the best that the series is dead. I wouldn't want to see Jak and Daxter get a shallow reboot that would be artistically bland and devoid of the humor that worked in the prior games.
