When I was a kid, I would finish Jak 3 once a week for months. Before that I would play Jak 2 with my messed up memory card, never getting past the first Baron fight before going to bed. Before that, it was hours and hours of Precursor Legacy. I'm confident 99% of the contents of my dreams are inspired by this quadrilogy of games.
my game console messed a little bit after i got to snowy mountain but i loved that place cuz i love snow maps and all i used to do was run around and skate, i felt bad knowing jak would get irrepairable foot damage but who cares long as you're having fun right sadly i never stopped to enjoy the day and night cycle but i love snowy mountains so simple yet unique
This game will live forever inside my every part of my cell of my human body l! The best platformer the ps2 coulda' offer! Just 100% it for the first after playing it 17 years ago. Best thing i wanted my time into lol
Impossible, no loot boxes , no day one patches, no predatory season passes, Physical ownership, and Soon actual human staff because AI hasn't been able to replace them with algorithms.
This little chain of comments sums up why I said fuck it and stick to the classics. Lmao, amazing games like subnautica exist. It's sequel proves just how rare they are. 😂
Dude this game was such a big part of my childhood. It reminds me of the time in my life when I was falling in love with video games in general, and I began to realize how lost I could get in other worlds. This music brings me back, thank you!
such a hidden gem. wish more people would give attention to the series. 24 years rn played like 2-3k games and these series was one of my first with zelda and kingdom hearts. still love it so much
I’ll never forget hearing “The Fortress” track for the first time, perfect way to start off Jak II. It immersed me so much as a kid that I was scared for Jak even though I was the one controlling him lol
Always loved the pumping station loop in Jak 2, especially with the amazing dynamic soundtrack that updates based on the activity or if you're going on the jet board.
I was recently thinking of doing my own Jak ambience playlist. This one is awesome, with high-quality tracks and a dope selection of screenshots. Thank you!
It's awesome, as not only do I love this game for the nostalgia, but also because the soundtracks are nice to use during a dnd session- I mean imagine using the Rock Village soundtrack in a swamp, or the Sandover Village in a druidic festival- pure gold!
Jak 1 was amazing, then Jak 2 and its weird jump into edgy dark Jak was a big ol whoa from kid me! XD I found the second to be so tough too! Thanks for the brill playlist, the music was super memorable for me. :D
Playing this game for the first time was a happy memory I never want to forget. Laughing at daxters lines when I died, cheering Jak on to flirt with Kiera and telling daxters thirsty ass to back off 🤣... the sense of wonder, mystery, and adventure was just unlike any other game I played at that time... What's happened to you naughty dog? Where'd it all go wrong?
It is definitely partially the nostalgia talking here, but so many of these tracks are just packed with genuine emotion. Thanks for putting this together.
Never played any games in this series and my knowledge is nonexistent: I bought the third game at a flea market in June and i've yet to play it, but i got this in my recommended and heard the first beats of that drum and damn i gotta get to it.
Now that you mention it, they sound very close. In a way it makes sense, that whole area of Jak II is the only one that has a similar environment to Precursor Legacy
The fact that I haven't played these games in at least 10 years and could navigate every map of the trilogy with my eyes closed is nuts!

It was really something watching the sun rise while on Snowy Mountain.
that and on top of the temple in forbidden jungle or on top of the cannon tower

This game feels cool
If I ever get rich I want to buy the ip off Sony and reboot the series
This unlocked parts of my brain I forgot I had.
the perfect track to start it off with, classic
Can you really start with anything other..?
@@AvonNabors Was thinking the same thing haha

Jak, Ratchet&clank and SLy were the 3 big icons of ps2

@@Mythansar cant forget about Rayman, especially PS1-2 era, even tho Ubisoft seems to have forgotten him

My 1 month old just relaxed an fell asleep to this. God bless you.
I could easily listen to an hour of Sentinel Beach alone
😍😍
dude exactly what I did this morning while making apple juice bottles. So chill.
Imagine if modern developers put this much effort into a game these days.

I honestly think games were better before my mom and dad got the divorce. 😿

Lost precursor city always sounded really cool to me. All of the soundtrack is awesome.
The forbidden jungle temple soundtrack has to be my favorite
Josh Mancell the legend. Rock Village is such a mood
Imagining my old, small tv I used to play these on. It was a real trooper, wherever the hell it is now.

God that first theme gives me insane amounts of nostalgia
This game will forever have an place in my heart!
first started listening to this studying for the MCAT. Now I'm in medical school and this video still helps me study :)
Currently studying for nursing school with this

The beach was always so calming for me.
Nothing beats the greatness of PS2 games. Now THIS gem was made with love.
Sentinel Beach always comes to mind ❤️
One of the ebst 3D old platomers EVER on PS2 and fun;)
My new favorite work playlist. Loved these games so much. Defined my childhood.

The background droning sounds at Rock Village always gave me the creeps as a kid.
Love this mix.
Same. Sounds like some giant creature lurkin in that deep ocean
💯
One of the best series ever
Thank you for uploading Sandover without the bird ambiance.

They lost sight of their passion, and began to become more greedy.
The wrong people were given authority to ruin them from the inside.
dude thank u so much this is so nostalgic

Spargus City is beautifully haunting. Amazing music in these games
Man I miss this game and this music.
Perfect for reading and studying
This is such a throw back for me.
Love how you've made it to where each track transitions and fades nicely into each other. Nice touch, and lovely compilation of a gem of game 😊
I like haven forest theme
I don't know what inspired me to search for this, but I'm sure glad I did. Listening to this puts me in my happy place when doing work for school.
Reminded me of the jarring change of style for prince of persia 2 warrior within 🤣 I didn't really play it but I did do Jak 3
I may have grew up on the ratchet games but I can tell these games are pretty cool too
Never played any games in this series and my knowledge is nonexistent: I bought the third game at a flea market in June and i've yet to play it, but i got this in my recommended and heard the first beats of that drum and damn i gotta get to it.
Finally a way to listen to this absolute banger of a soundtrack in stereo!
Nostalgia 😢one of my favorite games of all time
You deserve more views :] thanks for that.
Love the tracks. I want Boggy Swamp in the next one. The added ambience is what’s missing in the standard OSTs we listen to. Perfect fit.
Thank you so much for this playlist, it's so nostalgic and perfect for the games. Made my night :D
been working for hours.
you made my day !
the transitions are beautiful !!!!
I like to play this music while I play some Breath of The Wild , perfect mix
Agh I love this! My favorite game ever. Thank u!
Really well made playlist man, love it :)
you're freaking awesome for this
love this so much
Incredible games series and soundtrack was unbelievable, thanks🙏🏻
Also best track to me was always mountain temple🎧
Best jak and daxter playlist of UA-cam!
I just love this so much
Monk Temple is one of the rare songs that didn't make it onto the official soundtrack by Limited Run Games. Surprising
Ahhh, that'll be why it was harder to get a good quality copy of it then!
Anyone notice how similar Sentinel beach and Mountain temple's music are?
Now that you mention it, they sound very close. In a way it makes sense, that whole area of Jak II is the only one that has a similar environment to Precursor Legacy
Brought back all the memories! Thanks for this
Great job! I love everything about this series. 👏
This is so awesome and nostalgic. New favorite work music. Thanks!
