This was a dark part of the series it was crazy on how the first one was so happy and light hearted and then this game changed that completely. Jak with a gun and he had a personal vendetta against the baron like wow. That is why this is one of my favorite games of all time. The plot is amazing! :) playing it again right now.
If only someone took the original as inspiration for a game somewhere between the vibe of 1 and 2, made it more about the exploration and eco powers again.

I still remember as a kid, I barely played with the music on. One time I turned it on and I was right outside the exit to the underport (long before I was even close to that mission) and when I heard the sound around 1:50 I thought it was like a cow or something and it was coming from in there. Scared the shit out of me before I realized it was part of the music.
Dude - this game brings back so many good memories of childhood. Me in my room with an icy cold RedBull, a delicious pizza, big comfy chair. Everyone else in the house sleeping. Just me and Jak II all night...
That feeling after completing the game for the first time, hearing this theme after the credits makes you feel nostalgic remembering all you have been through and sad cause you finished a chapter of your life

Man this is my favorite game. I have the collection on my PS Vita and when I feel like playing it, I just go on a roll and play all three one after the other. This game is probably the most memorable and nostalgic because of the music and how hard it was for me at the time so I spent many hours playing it.

I think it's pretty safe to say that jak3 enhances every mechanic in jak2, making it better, basically jak3 is better objectively; on the other hand, you can prefer one or the other based on the general tune: do you prefer a poor city in war with a cruel dictator to dethrone, or do you prefer the utterly sad feeling of fighting an already lost war with the incumbency of the dark star, that will eventually erase all Earth? is up to you. for example I like jak2 the most, simply because I played it as a kid (as well as jak3), and, well, let's say I have a theory where the games you played in your childhood are most likely gonna be your favorite.

The city itself is beautiful and I love the atmosphere .However driving back and fourth from mission to mission was a giant pain in the ass. Especially with all the damn hover cars in the way.

There won't be though I believe the original story writer and gameplay designers of the Jak trilogy have already left Naughty Dog years ago so there's no sense or point of making a fourth game and even if they want to it's probably not going to be as good because newer Sony exclusive games have been trash like The Last Of Us was so overrated it wasn't even that good. Best to let this series be as it is alone.
I agree with you on the Last of us statement but otherwise sony is blowing away the competition when it comes to single player story driven games, I believe the devs of Jak and Daxter admitted the series was a patch work of far too many genres of games, free roaming sim, skate board game, platformer, shooter etc, it was clear they had no plan so maybe with new devs are what the series needs. We’ve also seen other studios revive well known franchises such as crash bandicoot and Spyro and the latest Rachet and Clank was very successful being a one of the flag ship games for ps5, it even has a Jak and daxter Easter egg with the duo fully animated so the models already exist.

I replayed it and nothing is more calm than this theme.
i believe we will get another jak Game, hopefully it clears up the unanswered questions and odd logic of the 3rd game.
There won't be though I believe the original story writer and gameplay designers of the Jak trilogy have already left Naughty Dog years ago so there's no sense or point of making a fourth game and even if they want to it's probably not going to be as good because newer Sony exclusive games have been trash like The Last Of Us was so overrated it wasn't even that good. Best to let this series be as it is alone.
I agree with you on the Last of us statement but otherwise sony is blowing away the competition when it comes to single player story driven games, I believe the devs of Jak and Daxter admitted the series was a patch work of far too many genres of games, free roaming sim, skate board game, platformer, shooter etc, it was clear they had no plan so maybe with new devs are what the series needs.
We’ve also seen other studios revive well known franchises such as crash bandicoot and Spyro and the latest Rachet and Clank was very successful being a one of the flag ship games for ps5, it even has a Jak and daxter Easter egg with the duo fully animated so the models already exist.
Idk if I'm the only one on this, but every time I load up the game and I'm in Haven City, there's always the guard that says, "Seal off the area."
Best song ever in Jak. Perfect song to end the game with at the perfect location. What a game.
