Secret tip for installing rails: drill pilot holes first! Use a smaller bit than the screws’ width. Mark the bit with a small piece of tape, paint or nail polish so that you don’t drill through. Halfway is perfect. The wood screws will drop right in and will never come out.
@@spencernuzzi well, funny enough, I only found the video as I had selected the rail location and had installed one side already, BUT this did help confirm that I made a good decision. Hopefully, it’ll help make things even easier for the next person searching!
not sure if they went away, just weren't as popular for street skating. they do add some weight and are slicker on metal rails so this isn't usually desired for the streets. but when it comes to things like curbs they're great! hope this kinda answers ur question! this is also just my personal opinion
Hey great vids been following you past few months as I’m getting back into skating I like your idea of the rails being placed closer to center, on your board in this video I think it’s 10 inch board and you went 2 inches with the rails? What would you recommend for an 8.25? About 1 inch? Thanks 🙏🏆🛹✍️

Do you think that the old holes will effect the strength of the board ?
If I only want to run one rail, how far in should I put it?

do you ride 169s or 215s on your shin splitter?
He has 215s on that shin splitter
my shin splitter is a 10inch so i ride 215s on them. 169 is for boards around 9in. i do believe searat has made a few 9in splitters tho
@@spencernuzzi thank you sir.
