I have a pretty severe disability, ever since age 23 (car wreck); both legs are affected. I am 52 this year and 0 has changed in my condition. I totally understand not being able to get "comfortable". I love YT for a reason. I put my feet up, and just watch some videos. It is super entertaining and it makes you forget... whatever bad stuff happened.

@@TheBeautyMaverick That's all right, Karen. We all have our crosses to bear. When you talk of your migraines, I partially understand. I have migraneous virtigo, dizziness brought on by migraines. When I say I can enjoy YT, I also mean your videos. Of course! I love it when you can post. But take it easy, don't force yourself; your own health is far more important. And we all understand!

I had hair loss at my temples for 8 years. I used minoxidil everyday for 1 year and it did nothing., but give me headaches. I now find washing my hair more often ( every 2-3 days) and putting 1 drop of my handmade hair oil on my patches everynight has helped. Oil: 1/2 castor oil 1/2 pumpkin seed oil. Few drops of rosrnary oil, afew drops of peppermint oil. ❤❤❤

Yep, rosemary oil is what I'll use if my migraines improve! x

I’m like you Karen, I only wash my hair every 3 days. I do sleep on a satin pillowcase and just started wearing a silk bonnet when I sleep and that has made a huge difference on what my hair looks like the next morning. I love my Moroccan hair oil, I apply it to my ends on the daily. I started using a leave-in conditioner after I wash my hair as well, it’s from Pureology and it’s so good. I’ve noticed if I wait 4 days to wash my hair I have more hair loss, when I wash it every 3 days not as much, strange huh. Loved the ending and that last picture oh my goodness❤❤❤

Hi Karen. I work at a beauty wholesaler in Canada and we sell Moroccanoil, Redken, Matrix, Olaplex, Amika and more. Redken has a line called Acidic Bonding Concentrate and they have a liquid conditioner for fine hair. Also Biolage has a new line called Bond Therapy also with a foam conditioner for fine hair. I realize you don't have fine hair but they wouldn't feel heavy and help with breakage. I also am a firm believer in a leave-in treatment that is applied on mid to the ends before you dry your hair. Matrix Miracle Creator and Redken One United are top sellers in our store. They both do multiple things, like a cure all. You should look these up😊

I use the Pureology leave in spray and it’s so good, been doing that for about 6-8 months and it’s a game changer.

Thanks so much Simone! Redken aren't cruelty free so I wouldn't use them, and I do use a leave in treatment always :0) I've tried a foam conditioner but sadly it didn't have enough moisture for my thick hair and the Biologe one isn't available in the UK :0( The hairdresser says I don't have any breakage, its all baby hairs :0) I'll add the matrix one on to my list if I ever need any more hair products, I've literally got WAY too much and lots that I enjoy. The solution for my hair thinning will be in hormone balance I believe although I'll continue to use the things that seem to be helping from the outside lol. x

I love Moroccan Oil too. But for my overnight treatments before shampoo I heard that coconut oil is the better choice. I don't shampoo my strands below my ears. Just let the suds from my scalp drizzle down, washing away the oil as it goes. Works for me.

Glad your back Karen. I have similar hair type to you, redhead, a lot of hair, but mine is thin, I have tried almost everything and a couple of things you have mentioned(Minoxidil & Alpecin) and none really did anything, but I started to use Weleda revitalising hair tonic and oh my goodness its working for me. My hair is shedding loads due to peri/menopause (im 56 btw) and since using this, its halved already after 3 weeks, its under £15, chemical free, vegan and its amazing. Your hair is beautiful btw x

Do you use a silk pillowcase, sleep and glow pillow or silk sleep bonnet?
Some of the bonnets have tight head bands, but there are some that are loose with little ties

Castor oil needs a carrier oil add to it if you wanna put it on your scalp
What I noticed about the Garnier masks- they have exactly the same ingredients as the conditioner 🤯😳so save yourself some money and get just the conditioner

Hi Karen hope you're having a good day 🤞, would you recommend the Moroccan Oil Smoothing Lotion for fine hair that gets greasy at the roots? I'm desperately searching for something that will keep my mass of frizzy baby hairs at the front and parting of my hair under control without the product going white and flaky after a while, thank you xx

Hello! Thanks so much :0) I honestly don't know how it would be on fine hair, as I don't have it. I don't see why it wouldn't work as well as It does for me though! x

Do you have a lot of nuts & seeds in your diet? 🥜 If not it might be worth incorporating them daily (a variety of diff ones) as they really help with so many things when it comes to beauty, hair etc as well as general heart & brain health. I’ve always ate a small portion of nuts daily (as a vegan it’s the perfect source of protein & rich in fatty omegas) and when I started “seed cycling” (also worth researching, helps with pms etc) my hair has looked so much thicker and has grown the longest it’s ever been as an adult and I really think that’s down to that and just generally bettering my diet and lifestyle instead of buying endless products. It’s definitely a more worthwhile investment imho 😊 I hope you can find something that works for you ❤

    • @TheBeautyMaverick
      @TheBeautyMaverick  3 місяці тому +1

Yes, too many nuts & seeds actually - I ended up having too much magnesium! I'd say it's my favourite food even - I love pecans, sunflower seeds, flaked almonds, the list goes on lol. x

Sadly as I mentioned I don't have the health to watch videos but she does have beautiful hair (she's young though, my hair looked like that at that age lol). I have a whole lot of things that work for me thankfully, it's just having the health & time to apply them. x
