Would you be willing to do a video for us gals, who have barely anything on their head ? Nobody ever talks about it, everyone is all about long beautiful locks. I buzzed my very damaged, very thin and thinning hair, now I’m trying to grow healthier hair, but I have no idea what to use, and how to take care of my baby fine, short hair. Please, please , any advice 🙏🙏🙏 And thank you, I love your reviews ❤❤

Hey. The key to hair that grows long and healthy is to maintain you hair health. I don’t believe it’s necessary possible to make your hair grow faster directly. Just shampoo and conditioner (even on buzzed hair) if you feel like you want to add some leave in conditioner. Spray it in your hands 1-3x and spread it out and kinda just coat your hair. Drag your hands along it but don’t apply too much pressure because you also don’t want the leave in conditioner to be all up in your scalp.

I love sulfates. I tried for so long to avoid them. I spent so much money trying sulfate free shampoos. Sometimes on first wash they’d feel good but on the second or third use I’d start to experience flakes and excessive oil. I finally gave up and went back to sulfates and all problems resolved. Now I rotate them, one wash with sulfates, one wash without and I find my scalp has stayed balanced, no more flakes and just regularly scheduled oil production.

@@sherihays4559 I work in healthcare and am very oily anyway (I’ve found this is how my scalp is regardless of what shampoo I use) so I do wash most days. Right now I am rotating Redken volume injection shampoo and conditioner and Shea Moisture Manuka honey and yogurt shampoo only with the Redken conditioner. Occasionally I use Kristin Ess clarifying shampoo and Redken Allsoft shampoo and conditioner. I have suffered hair loss over the years which I recently found from my derm is likely due to a vitamin D deficiency. Because my hair was thinning I avoided conditioners like the plague cause I felt they weighed down my hair but have now realized my hair is dull and dry. So oily scalp, thinning hair, and dry strands are the reason why I chose these shampoos and conditioners. The Redken volume injection is good for blowouts.

I've just recently started watching your videos to help move along my hair care journey. My hair does grow fast and it's pretty strong but due to my work and hobbies it was constantly damaged in tight ponytails and rough buns. I decided this year I was going to focus on protecting it from damage. I got one silk scarf to wear under my hard hat at work and switched to braids instead of a tight bun, and I got cotton bandanas to wear to the barn, when cleaning, or when I've oiled my hair and have to run out and about (they are easier to clean). I also got a silk bonnet and silk scrunchies and joboba oil to work into my scalp and skin routine. I think between these my already healthy hair will flourish even more. The problem I do have is eczema, I need to find shampoos that don't dry out my scalp or cause inflammation while also not coating and weighing down my fine hair. Let's hope it goes well in the new year!

Then one day, a section of my hair that is prone to being a bit drier and puffier felt like it didn't get enough conditioner in the shower. So, I thought what the heck, and I tried the a tiny bit of the oil on DRY hair and OMG! The portion that is problematic was instantly smoother, sleeker, shinier, and BONDED. Literally, any small splits (and there aren't many anymore thanks to K18) were completely bonded and smooth. I found a way to not waste this oil I bought over a year ago! This may be the trick to getting good performance from this oil.

A few years ago I was the on the hunt for a drugstore alternative to this asian brand my salon sold and I really could not find anything that performed quite like it until I found the Shiseido Tsubaki premium repair shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask. The way these leave my hair feeling soft and silky is something I could not find at the US drugstores and the smell is so unique, as well. Depending on where you get it, it can be as cheap as $20 for the shampoo and conditioner combined, from my experience. If you could try them one day I would be so excited to hear your thought on them!

I use the Pantene 10 in 1 and I have course hair that I wear natural. I think its great and the lighter texture is a plus because it doesn't interfere with my styling products and cause flaking. I also like the Pantene Rescue shots instead of the conditioner in the big tube. They leave my hair feeling so soft BUT they are expensive because they come in little tubes. I need one and a half tubes for my hair so I use them up pretty quickly.

I tried the hard water shampoo and conditioner on my glass shower door to see if it would remove hard water mineral build up. It definitely did.
It did change my hair, but my hair was too short to really test it out.
I always wonder if the acid based bonding conditioners (like L'Oreal Bond Repair) are acidic enough to remove hard water minerals, because acid does do that. I guess I should try that on my shower door.

When badly formulated, SLS can be irritating to some people.
But ONLY when badly formulated ... cosmetic chemists know how to use it well!
It is not toxic, won't melt your hair off, won't cause cancer ...
You would do far more damage to your hair if you used a soap based (saponified oils) shampoo bar.

    I have extremely oily hair.
I use Neutrogena T-Sal Shampoo as a clarifying shampoo every 3 or 4 shampoos with the build up.
But it does take time to work. It’s not a shampoo that you rinse out as soon as you put it in. You work it in then leave it in for “several minutes.”
I use it on showers when I’m doing a full shave, not just shaving my underarms because it does take time to work.
When I get in the shower, I put it in my hair first. Then wash my face & body, then shave. That takes a decent amount of time. Then rinse it out, condition my ends & rinse that out & I’m done.

I used pantene shampoo and conditioner for 30 years on heavily highlighted hair and I had no breakage hair was silky smooth and in great condition considering what I put it through (I'm talking back in the days before foils when my hair was pulled through a cap and bleach was put all over not just on the regrowth (shudder, I don't do that now), 60 vol was used and olaplex didn't even exist. My hair was waist length! I heard so many bad things about pantene and switched to try professional brands and sulphate silicone free brands and bla bla and that plus a bleaching using olaplex for the first time and my hair was destroyed, I lost half of it and it was in the worst condition ever. I have switched back to pantene now and am slowly seeing my hair recover again. No bonding products either which my fine hair does not like. I've seen plenty of people say the same that they always use pantene and have great hair.

Seems we've come full circle. I'm older and still remember after 4 decades of washing my hair 4 or 5 times a week with shampoos like Pantene, Herbal Essence, Prell, Sauve, etc... Then, overnight, I started having serious problems with my scalp. I had vrigin hair right up until my mid-40's so there was no other processing to blame. Severely raw, blistery, itchy, sensitive scalp... it was horrible. I didn't immediately link it to my shampoo, instead thinking it must be diet related. After suffering with severe scalp issues for about a year, overnight I decided to stop washing my hair. I went no poo and co-wash and although my hair didn't look great, my scalp recovered. Shortly after my personal experience everyone and their brother started talking about shampoos and sulfates. So, for me there's definitely a personal experience with old school shampoos that has stuck with me. It seemed like I'd reached my lifetime limit of tolerance to drug store shampoos! I tried alot of different hair routines until I settled on washing my hair with diy castille soap shampoo in a foaming bottle for about 6 years and never had one single issue with my scalp or my hair. Now that my hair is processed and coloured and I use Joico K-Pak shampoo/conditioner every 5 days and a diy coconut oil overnight mask once a month and my hair and scalp look and feel amazing. I do have Olaplex 3 in my arsenal too! I still would not touch the drug store shampoos with a ten foot pole. I realize the industry has transformed but I still don't trust putting them on my scalp.
