I’ve read this and I’m very careful as I’ve already had nodular cancer not on head where it normally is it was on my big toe. Yes I had to have amputation so I’m not allowed in hot bright sun but I now use a hat etc sunscreen etc. but thank you xx

My head always got sunburnt in high school at summer band camp and I run outside now, so I always wear hats, but I’ll check out these products. Thanks for the info 👍
Yes, I was very aware of sunburnt scalp. I grew up at high elevation with dark hair so my part would get sunburned. A hat is great but not always, I love the buffs for walking it’s very easy to deal with and I don’t have to wash my hair after.

This was so helpful! I cannot have anything on my head, buffs or hats just kill me. I use a big scarf loosely wrapped around my hair/head, almost like women in the middle east, just loose, so I can breath 😅 - and sunglasses, I just wondered about the UV protection and that's where the Coola spray will save me from now on. The Coola spray is good for being out in the sun without scalp cover. It provides SPF for your scalp and UV protection for your hair, it is also oily. If you get scarfs with UV protection built in or make sure they aren’t sheer you should be covered. 🌟💎 Shine On! 💎🌟

I have salt and pepper hair. I think from a distance it still looks brown, but I do have a lot of grey around my face that’s visible up close. I walk outside for many hours a day. I know I should wear a hat, but I have psoriasis which is mostly under control but find that when I wear a hat all day, my scalp becomes itchier than it does otherwise, and it doesn’t seem good. Do you have any advice for that? I get particularly itchy behind my ears and on my forehead right where my hair starts , which my dermatologist says is common with sebborheic dermatitis, which is related to psoriasis. My scalp feels so much better when I don’t wear a hat or hood. It’s a shame.
You have to do what is most comfortable for you. The buff might be the best option.
