It isnt. Theres a tonne of ways to change and adapt your tendencies. Being in black or white have their trade offs and benefits and conditions the difficulty and guides first time players to the idea that their actions directly effect their gameplay. Being in black lets you farm more black phantoms for rarer drops and increased global tendency, not to mention you get more souls, drops, and a tonne other benefits, as well access to different areas in maps (Boletaria 1-1s side gate opens for you if you have Pure black, world or character, but white or other variations let you open it differently), chat do a terrible job of conveying this since very few people played DeS extensively or during its hayday.

The Problem with Sekiro especially the 2nd time through is replayability, as long as you master the parry system thats all youll ever need. Ninja tools are hardly needed with kunai being most used. Ninjutsu I rarely used a 2nd time, and first and 2nd time only used one sword art, outside the AOE attack for the dragons during the dragon boss. While Sekiro is cool, its basically a rhythm game
Is the Northen Regalia effective against Maneater? I'm about to go to NG+ and I'm planning to make that my weapon. My character is pure white tendency.
Yuria the Witch is the other teacher , but Sage Freke has the overall better Magic Spells.... However , the only debateable spell to consider is Fire Spray from Sage Freke as the Hard Demon Soul could also grab you Ignite from Yuria the Witch ( Ignite is a point blank Flame Burst which does abit more damage than Fireball ) I suggest going Fire Spray as it's the only spell that you can spam while moving continously 🔥 You could Grab Ignite later in NG+ if you want , Ignite is more of a Melee focused type build actually ( Every other Spells from Sage Freke is really useful , specialy the Early ones Soul Ray , Fireball & Warding ). Enjoy *Note* : The SoulRay and Fireball aren't exactly a fancyier version of Soul Arrow or Flame Toss... The Soul Ray does more damage , travels faster & Pierces enemies unlike Soul Arrow. And Fireball does twice the damage of Flame Toss while also the AOE blast of it is considerable ( Fireball also Staggers enemies even with Armor ). So it's definitely worth the Boss Souls trade & even the Slots too 👌🏼
Debatable depending on your playstle. Yuria has spells that are more risky, but do more dmg. Also she has 2 of the best spells in the game period. Firestorm and cursed weapon. Freke is great for soul ray, fireball, and clous spells.
@@Jsobone Yeah true it also differs on Playstyles surely , Cursed Weapon is not bad actually... However , Firestorm is probably the riskiest spell in Magic as it only summons Pillars of Flames randomly generated ( Ontop of that you are Stationary for like 5 Seconds ). It's a rather nasty Nuke , but its definitely not recommended in all PvP encounters but only for certain Bosses for a quick Kill i suppose. Sage Freke also has one of the Best Spells if not the most used in the game already "Light Weapon" the upgraded version of Enchant Weapon by the Penetrators Soul as it really buffs the Weapon's Magic damage overrall. ( That light weapon with also the BlueBlood Sword made by Ed via Maiden Astrea's PureBlood Soul makes it easily a GG ). Since the Blueblood Sword already has a Flat & scaled magic damage within it's Physical Damage being scaled by +Luck. I used this Build & i honestly cut through any Boss or even any invading Player or Red Phantoms for the most part 😅 ( Blueblood Sword , with couple Spells like Soul Ray , Fireball & Fire Spray and your good to go ). This is the most OP build i've ever done , As it mixes both Melee/Magic damage ontop of that Ranged Spells for an overall balanced tactic fighter.... Also using the Talisman of Beasts as a Catalyst 🔥. You literally wrick havoc with this Build , but it's pretty Late Build mostly effective for NG+'s i started it at Level 60+ now also using the Gloom Set with a light weight Helm & Dark Knight's Shield.
Fire spray is good when you have high magic stat, before that it is just a mobility spell to annoy enemies or finish them off. Patchs isn't in DS2 maybe because Miyazaki didn't work on the game?
1:52:38 Next-gen hitboxe right there XD Also, the White/Black World tendency mechanic is an interesting idea. But in a game as punishing as Demon Souls and managed in a multiplayer that is beyond broken, it simply cannot be used to it's potential.
@@skunto That's the point, it's a jab at the fact that more than a decade later they didn't even bother to fix the damn hitboxes XD If it was truly next-gen, then this kind of nonsense wouldn't happen.
Yeah, i agree. But the real problem is that the game doesn't tell you how it works. There is simply a screen with some eyes icon, but not an explanation of the mechanics behind it. And changing something like the hitboxes is wrong: the bugs and the glitches are a feature of this game, not a problem. At least for some people. Lol.
definitely Demon's Soul is a true PS5 game.. i havent played this game for a decade, though i Platinum the hell out of it when i was stationed in Bahrain... good times, good memories..
@43:14 About Kojima selecting a different voice for Snake, couldn't it also be justified by the fact that it's a different Snake? Wouldn't the Snake from MGS5 become Grey Fox in MGS1? I'm honestly asking because I don't know. I never played the game. I know David Hayter was the voice of Snake for all of the various Snakes, but it seems reasonable that some one or two might have different voices. All that being said, I was disappointed to hear David Hayter wouldn't return for the voice acting.
No the snake in mgs5 become big Boss in the first mgs game, in the second you fight the real big Boss. These are not Konsole games. Grey fox is his own character. There are a game that was the intro game of mgs5 where you play big boss not the big Boss from the actual mgs5 game. David Hayter got replaced for the voice of big boss in the intro game for mgs5. In mgs3 he speaks big boss.
The reason there was no demon’s souls sequel is because the game completely flopped in Japan. Sony didn’t want to invest into a game that did so poorly in their region. But, the game exploded here in the states and Bandai Namco saw this as an opportunity and partnered with from software and thus dark souls was born.
Patches is more valuable alive then dead in demonsouls plus he didn't become an asshole till after demonsouls. If you want to kill patches you gotta do the assassination missions in demonsouls which requires you to kill yurt.
Sekiro doesn’t get love? Damn, I just finished demon’s souls and went back to Sekiro for a second play through and loved it so much more. Of course there’s no rpg elements, but the speed and mobility is amazing. I love the fact that it’s 100% skill and strategy with no way to create a cheese build
While the speed and mobility is amazing for me atleast I’m with max in that not having any variety in combat kinda killed the replay ability factor for me and that’s why I play these types of games is because you can play them so many different ways ya know? So with sekiro not having the rpg elements it just doesn’t appeal to me personally nearly as much as the souls games. I get why other people like yourself lovethe game though it’s definitely not a bad game
When you have multiple games giving a variety of weapons and allowing you play a cetain build, and then going to a game where you have a lot of mobility but limited to one style of combat, yeah. It's going to hinder some people on whether it's worth it replaying the game or not. To some it might seem easy only having to worry about one style of combat and mastering it over time. It depends on people's preferences. Sekiro is a good game but I don't think it's a game I'll replay multiple times. The other Souls games is the opposite because of the amount of weapons and overall builds you can go for, making each playthrough a different experience.
I find it crazy that he has some weird vendetta against the soul items.. he has so many in his inventory that he refuses to use, and is always disappointed when he picks them up.. he prob has like 50,000 worth or so in his inventory when I’m writing this and is bitching about being short of levels in dexterity. And the useless chat gives him the worst advice!
Sooo how does the game hold up compared to the original? Obviously graphics are better but im always wary of remakes that dumbs down or changes the core experience of the original, is that the case with DS?
@@Ahriman1000 so i heard, but sometimes changing only 1% in remakes can have serious unforseen results and breaks a lot of things down the line, that's the kind of stuff im worried about.
@@agrippa2012 It's the same game, just prettier. You can turn off the 8 way rolling and return it to Demons' Souls original 4-way. The only really notable change is that they made it so you can't shoot the Maneater through the fog door anymore, unlike in the original.
They added a boss armor set that wasn't there in the og, but to get it you must finish the game at least twice to get all the required items so it might as well not be added since the armor is nowhere good enough to justify the difficulty (at new game++ armor might as well be cardboard since enemies kill you by breathing in your general direction, most people don't even put it in the top 5 armor). It's badass-looking though. Mechanically speaking, not much change, which also means most flaws of the og stayed. such as: Roll delay (it's even worse with a wireless controller but almost every streamer/youtuber noticed it early game and commented on it). Magic is the ultimate crutch, making melee weapons almost trivial for most of the game. I'm honestly not sure that in any Souls game prior to this remake magic was so overpowered (you don't even need a specific build for it, even the most basic spell does great damage against most bosses). PVP is an unbalanced mess, if you invade with the Moonlight Sword or Regalia you can 1-2 shot pretty much any player, and 90% of those will DC when they see you. The hitboxes sometimes do whatever they want but it's nothing new. Other than that, the sound design, animations and graphics are phenomenal and you really feel the impacts during fights thanks to on-point sound-effects.
I really don’t get why some of you guys complain about the ads. We get to watch this for free and every once in awhile you have to watch an ad for 5-10 seconds before you can skip it’s the least we can do when we’re getting nearly 4 hours of content for free in this one video
XK7Projects Please. I only meant in this game. Seeing how he plays Demons souls and makes constant mistakes irks me but I still enjoy watching him. Now mind your business.
Maneater doesn't respond to the way you want.... it's coders fault, not the player.. 🙄. "Why won't you just stand there and let me hit you, boss character?"
'metal gear has already been remade' and? how many times was re4 remade? just because kojima changed his mind with twin snakes doesn't make the change good. imo the ui in the demon's souls remake isn't exactly in line with the original vision, at all. it looks very out of place
Never understood the point of competative pvp in souls games. Obviously the game wasn't designed for it and can't imagine subjecting myself to it when actual good fighting games exsist. Souls PVP is there to be a dick or help during PVE.
So, Max walks around with a one-handed sword, but he never parries or counters; he doesn't even walk around or behind enemies for backstabs. Then, he uses a two-handed sword, but he claims that it feels weird because he's been using a one-handed sword "this whole time". He doesn't ever use a shield, even when using a two-handed weapon, and he carries it on his back complaining that he's too slow and doesn't have much stamina. Hmmm... Max, are you sure you'd played these games before?
yeah same boat here, I understand he plays A LOT of games but he doens't even know some of the areas OR THE BOSSES which is insane? Why does he get sooo hyped up at game trailers when he's barely played SOME of them. Makes no sense. It's almost like he's played this game in the past for only like 30% of the game.
You learn from the very start of the game about the importance of parrying using the shield and that in this game it's hugely beneficial to do so, much like in Bloodborne and Sekiro. The DS games don't require parrying all that much compared to here, and Max just doesn't seem to get it. And it's only logical and that you'd be far less encumbered without a shield on your back. lol
I don't give a f*ck what anyone has to say about remakes or any of the old game remastered remake bull. I honestly don't want anymore remakes. This just shows that Bluepoint Games are true masters of their art and talent. And that's all that matters.
@@meandwot this boss is on everyone’s list as the most bs boss in the game. Yes, compared to the rest of the series, it’s a simple boss. But, it’s the terrain and the wonky AI that ruins the pace. Is the Northen Regalia effective against Maneater? I'm about to go to NG+ and I'm planning to make that my weapon. My character is pure white tendency.
@@daviddamasceno6063 should be pretty good, if I remember the sword has magaic damage on it. So you'll be doing good damage to them.
Enjoy
*Note* : The SoulRay and Fireball aren't exactly a fancyier version of Soul Arrow or Flame Toss...
@@omaralajmi1551 for sure, everything depends on your build. As much as I know firestorm is a baller spell in this game, I still use fireball more.
Fire spray is good when you have high magic stat, before that it is just a mobility spell to annoy enemies or finish them off. Patchs isn't in DS2 maybe because Miyazaki didn't work on the game?
29:21 are you Kelly from Shoes? What did you expect, conDAMNS??

1:52:38 Next-gen hitboxe right there XD
Also, the White/Black World tendency mechanic is an interesting idea. But in a game as punishing as Demon Souls and managed in a multiplayer that is beyond broken, it simply cannot be used to it's potential.
They didnt change the ai or hitboxes, so its still last gen in that regard.
@@skunto That's the point, it's a jab at the fact that more than a decade later they didn't even bother to fix the damn hitboxes XD
If it was truly next-gen, then this kind of nonsense wouldn't happen.
@@Skillfulstone If they did change it, then you know there would definitely be little whiny people complaining about how they changed too much.
Lol.
26:05 Take a risk by going the safer way.
Max is gonna play doom eternal both dlc when part 2 comes out
oooooh that explains why he didn't play the first part
@@cynthiagarza4494 I'm just guessing
There’s something about Max discovering things in games that makes the experience soooo much better than other peoples playthroughs.
when Max kept calling MGS "Metal Gear 1"
it even sounds amazing
Chat was off their rocker about Metal Gear in this vid. Max has it correct in all aspects.
Patches was the best place for Grass!!!! Saves farming
definitely Demon's Soul is a true PS5 game.. i havent played this game for a decade, though i Platinum the hell out of it when i was stationed in Bahrain... good times, good memories..
Haha, "Watch this chat....OOPS!"
powerstance in dark souls 2 was awesome its sad that it didnt come back
I'm still on part one, but can someone please answer me the all encompassing question..is Max fat rolling still?
no he isnt SXD
Max always struggles through this shit because he doesn't upgrade his weapons properly.
The reason there was no demon’s souls sequel is because the game completely flopped in Japan. Sony didn’t want to invest into a game that did so poorly in their region. But, the game exploded here in the states and Bandai Namco saw this as an opportunity and partnered with from software and thus dark souls was born.
Then word of mouth made the game a legend.
I get why other people like yourself lovethe game though it’s definitely not a bad game
jeremy roberts I also enjoy the replay ability of the rpg styled games, so I find nioh to be the best of both worlds
Juan Rivas I didn’t find the combat engaging enough to be that interested in creating a second build. It’s stiff and sluggish
Shadow of The Colossus for the PS5 is a remake actually.
The moonlight is even on armored core games
Sooo how does the game hold up compared to the original?
Obviously graphics are better but im always wary of remakes that dumbs down or changes the core experience of the original, is that the case with DS?
Almost nothing about the game was changed mechanically.
@@agrippa2012 Oh, and World 5 actually doesn't tank your framerate to 10 fps so it's a hell of a lot easier, now.
Max is wrong the main metal gear theme from one is very much in MGS 2
I tried watching, but the 18 ads made it hard.
Get UA-cam red or premium or whatever its called. I get no ads at all
or ignore them like me
Don't get premium. Save your money for something that's actually important.
I really don’t get why some of you guys complain about the ads. We get to watch this for free and every once in awhile you have to watch an ad for 5-10 seconds before you can skip it’s the least we can do when we’re getting nearly 4 hours of content for free in this one video
@@jeremyroberts8822 yeah, but 18 ads? I think it was a UA-cam error or something. They're all gone now.

What the hell. I played the origonal on PS3. This game looks NUTS. It looks like a completely diffrent game now.
Maneater doesn't respond to the way you want.... it's coders fault, not the player.. 🙄. "Why won't you just stand there and let me hit you, boss character?"
Nice
sony did have exclusive rights to metal gear solid 1 2 and 3 3 sons of patriots they did not ! 1 was released many yers later on the pc
[1:20:19] I just love this very moment
Hooly f***** shitt🤣🤣🤣🤣
every 1 wants bluepoint to remake metal gear while i am hear like what about soul reaver :P
And it's only logical and that you'd be far less encumbered without a shield on your back. lol
3:10:29 😀😀
Dark Souls 2 is so underrated
RE4 being remade by the RE3 team? Ew :/
2:40:00

I don't give a f*ck what anyone has to say about remakes or any of the old game remastered remake bull. I honestly don't want anymore remakes. This just shows that Bluepoint Games are true masters of their art and talent. And that's all that matters.
Maneater almost made me quit this game. Such horrible design. Other than this terrible boss, I had a great time with this game.
If you struggle with Maneater, it is to do with your build, the boss is easy.
@@meandwot this boss is on everyone’s list as the most bs boss in the game. Yes, compared to the rest of the series, it’s a simple boss. But, it’s the terrain and the wonky AI that ruins the pace. Yes if you use magic, sure, that would be the easy way to win. But, I don’t use magic in Souls games. I just find it makes the game too easy and feel like u only truly conquer these games if it’s melee only. Just my opinion.
