    Nice video. If you’re only looking to make 850-900whp, is the stock blower fine for that?

      With E85 yes. With gasoline, that is pushing it.

    MOST IMPORTANTLY The Gen5&6 Whipple with the brick up top creates boost at IAT that can’t be beat or matched! You can do back to back pulls on that Whipple and get out a kiss that blower without getting burnt! That factory blower will burn your hand after one pull!!! WHIPPLE QUALITY IS THE BEST ABSOLUTE BEST PEOVEN FACT!!!

    Do you gain a lot of weight going with whipped?

      Maybe 20lbs. You gain so much power that its worth the extra weight 💪

    Great video, Ray. The 3.0 Whipple you installed on my 2019 Bullitt so far has been a fantastic supercharger. Putting down over 700 rwhp with plenty of room to grow. As you know, im running the Whipple calibration, on a stock car, 3.875 pulley, 91- 93 octane tune. Im impressed with this supercharger, and not to mention the superior cooling. I agree Whipple is a good product, with years of being in the business. God Bless !

    Very good explanation, great job Ray. I've seen guys ask the question why use the spend the money for a Whipple over upgrading the factory supercharger on FB and I give the same explanation. Then I recommend you for the upgrade. I don't know if I've helped get you any customers but I'm trying. God Bless you and your family Ray and Thanks for all the great work you did for me.

    Hi Ray, excellent video. The new Whipple 3.8L Gen 6 Stage II is very impressive but also very expensive. I have seen 4 Dark Horse Mustangs upgraded with this latest Whipple SC. I attended a Ford Engineer Seminar last summer and one of the Ford Vice Presidents was in attendance and he stated that Ford was going to release the Encryption ECU/ECM to Whipple, RTR, Roush & Ford Performance. So I am expecting the encryption to get out to other aftermarket companies by this coming summer. Have you installed the ESS SC on any Mustangs yet? I prefer the ESS verses the Whipple due the cooling and less weight. The entire ESS system only weighs 42 pounds. The top of the Whipple SC almost weighs that much. I know two Mustang owners that have the ESS on their cars running 105 mm pulley making 1000 rwhp now for almost 2 years with zero engine issues. Perfect for daily driving.
    Ray where in NC are you? I ordered a Dark Horse back on 6 April and still waiting for it. The Handling Pkg is currently on restraint. I plan to get the ESS or Whipple installed. I am in Maryland so I need to figure out how far away you are. Thanks for the update on the Whipple. Blessings to you and your family‼️

      The Whipple setup is a little heavier than a centri but it's not that much. The low end torque the Whipple makes is where they shine.
      I think ESS kits have become popular due to their price but you get what you pay for. I personally have communicated with ESS about becoming a dealer but their customer service and response time was terrible. That was enough for me to make a decision I did not want to deal them.
      Whipple is fantastic to deal with as I've mentioned.
      With regards to custom tuning, yes I feel like it will available to us by years end. It's just a matter of time before someone reverse engineers the boot loader on the 24s or enough money gets tossed in front of a Ford engineer to make them hand over the bootloader keys to a tuning software company.
      I'm in NC, let me know if I can help you anyway! God bless!

    Great vids! Is there any reason to run bigger injectors on the standard 3.8l kit? With the 3.8l what's the most power you can push out of the stock injectors?

    • @drpmotorsports2186
      @drpmotorsports2186  5 місяців тому +2

      The stock injectors work great for the standard 3.8L setup. If you were to want to run 8K rpms or higher on the engine, then going up to ID1050X injectors would be recommended to meet the fuel demands, but the stock injectors work fine with the factory 7500 rpm limit. Now if you were to change pulley size to run more boost or switch over to E85, you definitely would want to go with bigger injectors than stock.

      @@drpmotorsports2186 are the stock injectors maxed out with the standard 3.8l kit? I’d imagine it would be safer running something a little bigger yes? Just trying to plan this out. Thanks

    • @drpmotorsports2186
      @drpmotorsports2186  4 місяці тому +2

      @or-ian6973 Yes the stock injectors are closed to maxed out. If you're never gonna change pulley size or fuels, then the stock injectors will meet the demands. However, if you have any inclination to change things beyond the standard setup, then go ahead and bite the bullet and get bigger injectors.

  • @ryanfreeman5987

    If the parts make it emissions legal then why is tuning restricted? It’s a false statement.

    • @drpmotorsports2186
      @drpmotorsports2186  6 місяців тому +2

      Friend it's the CARB certification test of the entire package that makes it emissions legal. That means the kit along with the Whipple tune has been subjected to an emissions test and passed that meet CARB approval. Nothing false about that. The kit comes with a CARB EO number and sticker.
