I love supercharged cars. But my favorite build to date is still the sleeper look twin turbo setup. The fact it kinda looked stock from above is a beautiful thing to me.
@@mustbefast9923 kenne bell is an awesome blower, they have very little parasitic loss with their rotor design but yhe trade off is the amount of heat it holds. Iat's go through the roof after a good solid run and tge car starts pulling timing.
Just think....2020 the phrase " the stock blower is happy until around 1000hp" is now reality....ladies and gents OE Tech is amazing...aftermarket makes it unreal. Great video and breakdown as always!
In my opinion, Kenne Belle was a heavy hitter 10-15 years ago. Seems like they got hooked up with rousch or Saleen for a bit and put out a lot of units, as those cars faded and new companies began production Kenne Belle kinda sunk into the shadows.
Can you guys do a direct comparison between the 3.0 vs 3.8? Specifically detailing the advantages of the 3.8, and why someone should choose one or the other?
I have 1998 mustang gt its green with white stripes and one day i would like to swap gt500 engine and then take it for racing but for now i keep the 4.6l 2valve
The best line " the name on the blower is still the guy running the company".... That's everything, there is a direct reason to push and deliver something with pride.......
Twin turbo or 3.8 whipple? Thanks ken, and the rest of the PBD crew. Your videos help eliminate the ("that's what everyone's says") guesswork that often ends up being very disappointing and expensive headaches. The 2020 GT500 is already (in my opinion) too expensive for DIY experiments. I like that you try before we buy. You guys dont just talk the talk. You show AND explain the results. Keep these videos coming.👍🏽
@Juice Loosener BLOWERS = belt slippage, throw, or breakage, heat soak, high IAT's power fade, TURBOS = when you've out grown blowers. 3.8 Whipple = GAME CHANGER!!!!
Is the intercooler on the 3.8 whipples the same as the 3.0's other than the extra return line? I see that some of the 3.0's come with the new double passenger side coolant lines, some dont.
I was going to go single turbo with my car. But now I’m dead set on a Whipple. You can’t beat the power and practically bolt on kits! You get what you pay for and in this case it’s quality!!!
Damn that’s sweet👍👍👍
😁
3:11 why does the top look dented- on one side?
The lid is beveled on both sides in the rear to help clear the strut tower brace
@@PalmBeachDyno thanks for the quick response, liked and subscribed to your videos

Right on!
Got me ready to upgrade my 3.0 to a 3.8L
I want to see that.
3.8 good for top end, 3.0 better low end. Pick for your build.
There is no 3.0L kit for GT500
@@PalmBeachDyno Yes for the newer Mustangs, other gens GT500 there is and my statement is still true.
What a Unit!!!
can you not create a spacer for the lid to increase height ?
Would this fit a gen 2 coyote? I am looking for a system with the best cooling living in sw florida.
How does the new Whipple 3.8 liter compare to the Kenne Bell 4.0 liter?
I've been a kenne bell guy forever...., but whipple and vmp blows them out the water on hot laps atthe track
For some reason no one’s running kenne bell anymore

@@mustbefast9923 Kenne bell hasn’t updated their blowers in years. They’re still pretty bad ass up VMP and Whipple stay updating their products
great video

Have you tried a kennebell supercharger
I don't see alot of that blower and I always wonder why.

Ken will that blower work on a F150

I agree because both is great for power
Your absolutly correct should not have shown this to me I can't unsee this 😳
Letal performance is putting one are there gt 500 with Lund tuning it
If Lund is gonna do a remote tune, I'll pop some popcorn and watch that slow motion Trainwreck.
Well Lund seems to hold alot of records for boost coyotes
Great videos Ken ready for the live feeds again.
Sooooo much want
Ken looks like a fit guy. The time it takes for him to lift that thing shows you how big that 3.8 really is.
I have 1998 mustang gt its green with white stripes and one day i would like to swap gt500 engine and then take it for racing but for now i keep the 4.6l 2valve
By the time I can afford this blower or any whipple blower, the 5.0 whipple will be ready!!!!
That blower is a beast. Can't wait to see what your car puts down on the dyno 🔥🔥🔥
Probably all of its parts n pieces. I mean it’s a 3.8L blower pumping into a 5.2L
@@RadDadisRad probably forgot about all those 4.6 terminators running 4.0l 20 years ago. This new gt500 will be fine
You bolted an engine to that blower.
you win the internet today.
Do you have blowers that can fit on the 5.4 V-8 engine. I have a 2010 Lariat that I would love to fit a blower on this 3 valve engine.

Looks to be very promising can't wait 🤙 🇺🇸
Do you have an estimate on how much power it makes to the wheel with a 93 octane tune and stock internals

That blower bigger than my 1.5L turbo accord 😢

What a awesome blower 👍👍
The supercharger is as big as a Nissan GT-Rs Engine💀
Wow what great content Ken, great comparison on the intercoolers, and what makes the whipple such a beast of a supercharger. Just love this stuff.
Love it. Get new blower now let's take it apart😳😬
This is going to make some serious power up top!
Cool explanation will flow a lot of air for sure nice piece.👏👍
I was hoping that the 3.0 would be out now for Godzilla..
