He's right though about playing with the fuel on these cars.. I know guys get away with E30 blends all the time but that doesn't mean it's good for the car.. And that is, One of the main reasons why I stay away from buying cars from younger people. There's a huge difference between buying a used car from a guy who is over 50 and a guy who is under 35 years old.. 9 times out of 10 the 50 plus year old is just a weekend driver and he isn't out beating the shyt out of the car everyday.. I got lucky over a year ago. I found a Gen2 17 GT Base with a Performance Pack, the color I wanted with the wheels I wanted and it only had 8,909 miles on her.. I've had her 13 months now and I am just hitting 14,300 miles.. Look I know the 24's are the New New... But honestly the best bang for buck is an S550 with low miles. It's the same car with a few different body panels and you will have all the Mod's and tuning you can think of doing to the car.. You want an N/A Build done, Blower build, or Boost done.. The S550's are just ready to go and you can get one with low miles for under $30K shyt with high miles for $20K now. Anyway the 2025's are about to come out so that whole keeping up with the jones' or having the latest and greatest is like chasing your tail. I learned that a long time ago. But if you can afford $1000 payments to each his own. Do you if you have the money.. But for me I went used no payments and when I am ready, I'll have all the Power Adding n tuning options I could ever want.. Great video for sure.. I like the info..
That starter will eventually get heat soak due to the headers. You should get a heat shield sleeve for it, will last longer and work better.
Great video, Ray. There's no doubt Big Brother has a hand in this tuning issue. I believe the new adminstration may help this issue, hopefully. The old saying: " if there's a will, there's a way"
Maybe they want to milk out as many supercharger sales as possible for their partners before they allow tuning. That way they know buying a supercharger kit is the only way to be faster. So it could also be a money making gig too.
I wouldn't think Ford would be greedy but I guess anything is possible.

I am one of those out there on e40 blend. Car is so much faster than 93. Race proven lol... I get the fuel trim ect...but we cannot wait any longer. I bought this as my weekend/race car/fun car. You mentioned sometime earlier that tuning will be available soon, do you have any updates on that?
Well 2 months ago I was told there was a back door to get in but then the line went quiet...so my guess is something with that did not pan out as expected. My guess without Ford's approval, nobody is getting in. I can only hope, if this a political thing, that the coming changes in DC will maybe help create an atmosphere that would allow things to happen. I would think that Ford would truly welcome the aftermarket at all levels...
How much faster is it with e40? Were you able to get any numbers?
Is there a way of adapting/modifying the gen 3 s550 computer to work on an S650?

Those big 20&21 inch rear wheels is removing about 15 hp, seen it in person on a dyno. With tune it will diffinitly make and other 20hp.😊
It did like any other cayote in hp&tq good pick-up,at the track you would see around 3 mph higher and 2/10 approximately. God bless.💪🇨🇦👍

Hi Ray, good video!!! Thank you for showing the difference between SAE & non-corrected dyno results! I have seen many videos of this Kooks header 1 7/8” size. Uncorrected results are similar to what you just displayed. I have noticed that the Dark Horse Mustang picks up about 5-8 more horsepower & torque. I noticed that in 5 other videos on UA-cam. Also seen more horsepower from added to a Mustang that has a Whipple Stage II installed!!!! Thanks for sharing Ray!!! Your White Mustang looks good and sounds even better!!!! Should have wrapped the header tubes next to the starter....it's going to be absorbing all that heat now
@Crazy8ts Ive used heat deflection material on the starter vs wrapping the headers. Works good too.
Dose wrapping the long tube headers with thermal wrap make a significant difference? I noticed that the starter and the air conditioning cooling lines are very close to the pipes. Could this cause these components to deteriorate faster than with the stock exhaust system?
@ryanbautista6435 Wrapping the headers will reduce heat. The actual risk of heat damaging things is relatively low. I've personally never seen heat damage anything on a S550 or S650 mustang with unwrapped headers. The easier protection measure would be to apply heat protection on the things you wish to defer heat from

Currently doing this job on the floor with jacks lol got both headers out driver side is in but passenger side I have 2 bolts for the top far side that are just a pain to get in. Definetly been a challenge

@Handledeezdarnit Without a tuner it would be hard to tell. Was there any device plugged into the OBD port? Any obvious modifications done to the engine intake or exhaust?

Good video Ray!!! I agree with your input!!!! I hear from some reliable sources that we are very close to break the encryption code to the S650 ECM/ECU. The sport cats actually improve torque over no cats. 👍👊💪🇺🇸🐴✝️
I hope and pray that someone allows us to get access to tuning the S650s soon. My sources have grown silent the past few weeks, so I assume no progress is being made on cracking them.
Nothing worse sitting at a red light and nox gas coming in the véhicule not pleasant. Also cats with back pressure will give you low to midrange torque additionaly yes sir.👍😎🇨🇦

@Subarashii-naniii that will not change anything on the dyno. All drag mode does is change some shift and lockup points as well as accelerator pedal sensitivity.
