    Boss moves. But what if we wanna have it at 432 and not 440. That is what I'm in search for.

    Do I understand this correctly, the 808 would not 'actually' play a c-note if you press it before the correction, but after the new base is set, it will be a c if you press c? (C being just an example placeholder note here)

      Good question. That is what I always believed until I seen a video n it said to do what was done on this video and then also adjust the pitch knob accordingly. 🤷‍♂️ common sense tells me that seems counterintuitive and or contradicting but the guy who posted it only posts about shit he knows to be true. (I think) Mr ears tell me to do this only. I guess you can try n then record a note and check the pitch region in Edison again to confirm? 🤷‍♂️(I just gave myself my own advice) wish I thought of that years ago 🤣

    How do I do it when I’m using scale highlighting

    Thank you bro!
    I got a question tho, mostly when i do this, edison displays many diffrent pitch keys and not only 1 like yours. How's that?

    • @drumfetish_beats
      @drumfetish_beats Рік тому +2

      That's because the "click" part (or punch) might be in a different note (it's a click but it still has a frequency). You should still follow this technique but use the pitch it displays for the largest part of the 808 (the body plus tail). Hope that makes sense.

    Should I always set my drums to the key of the melody that the key is in?

    • @GobbyMade21
      @GobbyMade21 4 місяці тому

      No. Drums should always be in C unless you want to change their pitch beacuse theyre not melodic

    What do you do if the samples gives for example B in the beginning and another note half way or in the end?

    Does the 808 have to be in the same key as the sample or do you simply pitch correct it according to what Edison shows you?

      @@Mouadvafard To make sure I understand you properly if my sample is F minor and I click detect pitch region on my 808 and it shows C2. Does my root note need to be C2 or do I put it on F and follow that by playing other notes that are in the F minor scale?. I don't know if this question makes sense

      @@Oudda_shapef edison shows you C then you use C as your root note. If Edison shows you E in the pitch detection, than you use E as your Root note. So you always pitch your 808s according to pitch region never according to your sample
