      The more relevant question is, do you think the new one worth twice the price or more?

    I decided to stay with the i9 Intel because I loved the ability to use both Windows and MacOS back and forth (without having to pay extra) For what I need personally, I think this laptop works amazing. I am not seeking to throttle a laptop to its MAX with heavy usage. Most of the stuff I use it for is handled very well with virtually no lag. It's honestly exactly what I needed.

    It seems Every Intel Mac user experienced lack of performance when M1 macs were launched. 2014 macbook with 8gb RAM is still capable machine it is no match for M1 but it can get the job done eventually

    Hello! i currently use a 2017 13 inch MBP, I study Computer Science so i have to use Windows a lot when using specific programs in my studies but i have the complete apple ecosystem, so I was planning to upgrade to this MBP with the i9 + 32 GB + 1000 GB configuration so I can use 500 GB for both systems, and considering MacOS Sequoia is supported on this machine, will it be worth it? i mainly just use my current MBP for simple coding using JetBrains and some lightwork using the MS Office 365 Suite Online. thanks !

    Thank you for that very good analysis. I would go for one more advantage: If you need to run x86 Virtual Machines, an Intel Mac is a must since M1-Macbooks are not yet capable to do that properly.

      @@MM-qt6yn same I was looking at the M3 models cause at this price point and maneuvering of Apples MacBook Pro line up it is clear, "Which model for your needs?" and if you want overkill...SADLY...you pay for it, it's a fair trade. and a honest price point vs. a super current windows laptop from high end brands, I own a 2018 i7 w/ 550 32gb and a 2019 i9 w/ 550 32gb both 15 inches. Honestly, I'm going to ride them out. see what happens by 2025.

    I purchased mine from a Best Buy (i7, 5300M, 16GB, 1TB SSD) reseller and it was an absolute HORRIBLE choice, the laptop itself is amazing, the screen is nice and spacious, the keyboard and trackpad are awesome, I love the Touch Bar and the speakers are incomparable to any other laptop. Luckily my unit doesn't really get too hot and the fan noise is a treat compared to any other gaming laptop. The thing that pushed me to ask for a refund was the horrible laggy and sluggish animations, everything takes forever to open and there are these "skips" every 10 seconds or so that ruin the experience, Mac OS is supposed to be fluid and fast but with this laptop it is absolutely unusable if you have used any modern windows or m1 laptops. I even tried reinstalling the entire OS but the lag is still very persistent as well as the "skips", especially when using the trackpad. If you want a FAST and RELIABLE laptop, DO NOT get this laptop, NO MATTER HOW CHEAP IT IS. Do yourself a favour and get a refurbished m1/m2 air/pro. It's such a shame that such a nice machine gets killed by Apple just to make the newer laptops seem better, I can't believe that when I installed Bootcamp, Windows 10 feels SMOOTHER than Monterey OS(which is the default OS!!). LET THAT SINK IN!
    Edit: scrolling through the comment section on YT, waiting for basic websites to load like FB, Reddit, Twitter, Best Buy takes FOREVER.

    • @aslah
      @aslah  2 роки тому +3

      Wow! I never had these issues. Trackpad is one my fav feature on this thing. Do you think the lag can be from a slow internet connection?
      My biggest complaint is the heating when running heavy apps. And also we cannot forget this was the Top of the line MacBook until Oct 2021, just when they released their new M1 line up.

    • @mountainclimbr
      @mountainclimbr 2 роки тому +1

      @@aslah nope, it is a lag in the operating system. When I use windows 10 via bootcamp it feels responsive and smooth, but whenever I am on Mac OS, it's slow and the animations are super laggy!
